Max Havok had the perfect a beautiful wife, twin daughters, and a thriving business built from scratch. He was a good man. A family man. But that’s not who he’d always been. For twenty years, he kept the door locked on a violent past—a past where he’d learned the only justice that mattered was the kind you took for yourself.
On an ordinary Wednesday night, that locked door is blown off its hinges. A brutal home invasion destroys his world; a tragedy the police dismiss as a burglary gone wrong. But one detail cuts through the fog of the strange, inconsolable grief of his next-door neighbor, a man who’d barely spoken to them before.
It doesn't add up, and when Max seeks an answer, he only uncovers more questions. Stonewalled by an investigation that feels like a cover-up, he soon discovers that his search for answers has made him the target of people with power, resources, and a network of killers at their disposal.
Unfortunately for them, Max Havok has one thing they don’t.
Nothing left to lose…
Don't miss Scott Medbury's latest and most compelling character yet.
Perfect for fans of Reacher, John Wick and the Equalizer.
Imagine your fate being tied to an unknown entity, and you come home one night to find your world turned upside down. What do you do? Accept it? Or research and exact revenge on the responsible party? Havok, after his family is murdered in his own home, leans on the adolescent he used to be and rekindles old contacts to track down who was responsible for destroying his life. This is a nonstop, action-filled book that keeps you turning the page until late in the night (or very early morning). Eagerly anticipating the next book!
Fun book, a lot of death and hurting people. He couldn’t depend on the corrupt police so he went to get justice himself, losing your family just coz you live next to a rotten neighbor would make anyone angry. It’s not justice but when you can’t get justice you fight for it yourself, or at least that is what Max did.
