To start off my review of this book I just wanted to say I am not usually into reading romance novels. but I was willing to give this book a chance because it is also a fantasy novel. Without giving away any spoilers the main character Sylvanna is a slave girl who meets her mate who just so happens to be a prince and he takes her away from her painful situation and given the opportunity to heal after the years of torture and torment she had to endure. When she wakes up to her mate she is scared because she was told many Lies about being the mate of a dragon. He takes her out of the situation and goes back to the capital so that she can be safe and with him. Sylvanna has a hard time accepting the Kyrin is her mate at first but through her healing and him staying by her side even through the nightmares she begins to heal and eventually falls in love. I can't get into too much of it without spoilers but I just have to say for most of this book the relationship between Kyrin and Sylvanna is wholesome and I really liked that the book wasn't 90% sex and only a small amount of character building. Tho eventually it did get to some of those spicey scenes and when it did my jaw dropped and I may have drooled a bit. all joking aside tho with the more fantasy over tones it was still a romance novel and still had the patterns of one.

The meeting

The friendship

The Sex

The break up or something happens

and then Making up in the end and having Sex

tho with this book they were mostly together and Sylvanna was trying to grow in confidence throughout the book as well as learning to be herself.

All in all I do recommend this book because even though I am not a fan of romance novels this one left me wanting to read more.
