The war devil is mother, literally. (But all jokes aside, this was a depressing volume with Denji saying that he will just find a new family if everyone around him happens to die again. Poor boy.)

I surprisingly enjoyed this volume a lot. It felt a lot more like the first half of the series; the pacing was great, we got to see a lot of Asa and the war devil, so that's always a win. I still feel a bit like I've missed five chapters somewhere because things will happen out of nowhere and just aren't acknowledged much. I'm hoping that this improves in the coming volumes, as it's been a bit rough for me the past 3-4 volumes, but I love the beginning of this series so much.

Nesse vigésimo volume de Chainsawman, senti que as coisas começaram a melhorar – que já tinha ocorrido no volume 19, mesmo ele sendo bizarro - com a história voltando a tratar do Denji, seus sentimentos e sua relação com o Pochita, além de ser um volume que valoriza bastante as famílias que o personagem já teve, tendo em vista que o Denji já lidou diversas vezes com a perda e o luto.

Dessa forma, a história começa com o Chainsawman negro descontrolado, destruindo a cidade e comendo demônios, após saber que Nayuta tinha sido morta. Assim, Asa, junto do Demônio da Guerra, conseguem criar armas poderosas que conseguem enfrentar o Chainsawman, a ponto de quase mata-lo. É nesse ponto que o demônio do envelhecimento prende ambos os personagens em uma dimensão.

A partir daí, Denji reencontra seus propósitos, Asa consegue se relacionar com o protagonista, e juntos, buscam uma maneira de solucionar o problema envolvendo o demônio da eternidade.

Esse volume é repleto de ação e violência, como de costume nessa série, e a leitura é extremamente fluida, com poucos diálogos e foco maior nos poderes do Demônio da Guerra.
