Story: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Trope: mail order bride Angst: 😱😱😱😱 Smexy: 🔥🔥
I really enjoyed this book, its well written, with a great storyline. I thought the story was very emotional and deeply moving from beginning to end. It was actually very angsty, just the way I like them, LOL. There are a lot of scenes that could be very traumatic for a sensitive reader, especially in the beginning of the story. You may want to check out the trigger warnings. I'm really looking forward to checking out her other books!
I just don't fully understand why he gave her to Narvik. Like if Xander was terrible (which he was) why would he give her away to a nice guy?? Narvik and Reanne were cute together but also that just didn't make sense to me. I also wish we got more detail about their mental communication that happened once. Also how did Xander make money if he bought the women and gave them away? Unless I'm assuming he only gave her away and everyone else was actually purchased. Idk little confusing. I did enjoy the cute romance parts I just think some of the store was skipped over or not fully revealed in the book.

Navrik is a father with 2 children, who was not able to stay on his home planet. As a homesteader on Valoris Prime, it's hard going, but he is making it work. Until he gets the dredded summons. Reanne has been abducted from earth, and Lord Revarr has been trying his best to ," break " , her. But she has a spine of steel. No matter what he does, how he abuses her, she is still , and will always be herself. Until one day , he has had enough. So , he ," gifts " , her to one of his tenants farmers. Is she going from the frying pan into the fire ??? But , at least , she will be away from him !!! As Reanne and Navrik get to know each other and go about their lives things change , for them both . I thought this was a fantastic read and can't wait to read more from this author.
This is actually a 4.5 star book. If the publisher had done a little better in proofreading and fixed some grammar mistakes, it would be a 5 star.
She lives for adventure and adrenaline rush moments. She’s worked hard for everything she has. She successful and drive .
He’s a single dad just trying to get by. He’s a farmer. Ruled by conditions outside his control and demands not being able to be met but rulers who don’t care.
This book had a great plot twist. I have to appreciate that it didn’t follow the standard plot line of meet, lack of communication, foreshadowing, danger, and then resolution… no this book did a great job at introducing the characters, giving them depth, building the world, and giving it suspense, happy, suspense, happy.
Loved this. Don’t like the fact that the overlord Lord Xander was as evil as he was. He needs a crash course in how he treats others. Maybe being treated the same way would help lol. Narvik is a great husband for Reanne. She needs his kind and patience plus his love and passion to help her recover from Lord Xander. Being an instant mom to Leera and Haaran helps too. This instant family has some things to overcome but they do and it is a touching story. Hot and exciting while being a roller coaster of a ride.
Different story with Alien abduction. Reanne was peacefully rock climbing, and looking forward to a Spa day with her friends as a reward for the hard climb. Being suddenly taken, and not having control of her body. Terrified watching rows of other women in the same helpless state. Weeks of abusive " Training , and SA, ,yet she refused to be broken. Something changed suddenly, and she's being given to a husband. High intensity, and I couldn't stop reading. I loved the HEA ending.
This is a good book. The characters were relatable with real growth. The world building was good but a little confusing at times. There were a few grammar errors in the second half of the story I noticed, but nothing bad enough that made me stop reading. I'll be getting the next book in this series and hope it is as good as this one.
I saw a Facebook ad for this book and thought why not. Man, I downloaded it and finished it in one sitting. I laughed and I cried. It was worth how tired I will be in the morning.
This book was amazing! I loved it! It was well written and very romantic. Plus the story was really interesting and healing! The spice was absolutely perfect! Soooo good! And just the overall strength that the characters have was inspiring! I loved it!!!!!
Really enjoyed the story and the main female and male characters. Got vested in the main characters until 3/4 of the way through the book when there was a distinct change in writing style. It felt like another author finished it.
Yes Reann and Norvik had to defeat the evil overlord who was in control of their lives. That was a community effort. Babies, kids, family all realized. Enjoy
