Good bones, editing needed
I can see what the author was trying to do and I think it’s almost there. It’s a spicy novella, not super deep. I typically enjoys these as pallet cleansers in between heavier reads. I was actually recommended this book in a fb group, but it was a miss.
The story desperately needs editing. It is almost like each chapter was written by someone who only skimmed the chapter before it.
Ex/maybe spoilers:
They have their “first time” twice, yes twice. At first I thought it was the same scene from another perspective but it goes differently in both.
They talk about something more than once but as if they haven’t talked about it before, was confusing.
Rex’s (side character) pronouns change. Like when you first meet her she is a woman, when she’s talked about but not in the scene it’s he/him and then she’s in another scene later as a woman.

Good but needs editing
The story is good, but more details would be good. There are also continuity errors it is a little jarring but could be easily edited out. Still an enjoyable read.

Way too much sexy times considering the length. Add in insta-love and there really wasn't much substance. Story was just okay.
