What happens when your online gaming buddy turns out to be eight feet tall, covered in fur, and absolutely irresistible?
Maya thought the hardest part about moving to Calamity Creek would be adjusting to her new monster and human neighbors. She never expected a blizzard, a car wreck, and a rescue by a mysterious Yeti to completely derail her plans to finally meet her online gaming partner of three years at the local convention.
But when a towering, gentle rescuer introduces himself with a familiar voice and an embarrassed grin, Maya realizes her knight in shining armor is none other than YetiBeGood - the teammate who’s had her back through countless virtual battles and late-night conversations.
Trapped together in his cozy mountain cabin while the storm rages outside, the chemistry that sizzled through their headsets is nothing compared to the heat building between them in person. As walls come down and hearts open up, Maya discovers that some connections transcend species, screen names, and even her wildest fantasies.
But when the snow melts and the real world comes calling, will their love survive outside the safety of his arms and her new supernatural community?
Snowed in With the Yeti is a steamy paranormal romance about finding love in the most unexpected places - perfect for readers who enjoy cozy cabin settings during snowstorms, size-difference romance, and relationships that bloom from friendship to forever.
The premise was cute, Geoff was adorable. My issue with this book was the story lines lacked continuity. The biggest one was that one chapter, Geoff's friend Tank is pushing for Geoff to make a move on Maya since she's in his cabin. The next chapter Tank had no idea Maya was in town. They made a big deal about the size difference and then *poof* he's in with no problem or lube. What?
Queue a girl that enjoys gaming. Meet a guy while gaming and really enjoy gaming together. Become best friends. Decide to meet up at a con after knowing each other for three years and on the way the girl crashes her car? What an interesting start to a story and I know Maya and Geoff felt the exact same way. She had no idea he was really a yeti, he knew immediately it was her car that crashed. Will his secret ruin the best friendship he's ever had? Or did fate help to steer her in the perfectly right direction? This was perfectly steamy and absolutely adorable. Maya and Geoff are just a couple nerds in love and finding the best way to learn how beautiful it is to be seen and accepted for who you really are. "I make you tolerate civilization?" "You make me want to be part of it again."
Snowed in with the Yeti was absolutely beautiful!!! Lara created such a heartwarming story full of cozy moments, love and lots of laughter! Maya and Geoff have been falling for each-other online for years and the universe finally decided they couldn’t be apart any longer! 😭 They have to be one of my favorite couples ever! These two gamers are the ultimate friends to lovers and I’m so excited to see them again! Calamity Creek is full of humans and monsters and I’m so looking forward to meeting more of the monsters!
This book brought all of my favorite wintery vibes to life: warmth, coziness and cuddles. Geoff was like a yeti-bear version of a teddy bear. He was sweet, thoughtful, respectful, loving, devoted and kind. His heart was so pure and gentle despite his large size. I loved seeing the banter and genuine friendship between Geoff and Maya bloom into a true and deep love as they realized that their friendship was more. While I didn't fully get all of the technical gaming verbage, I liked that it was something that they bonded over. Overall, this story makes for the perfect winter read!
Overall good plot and story and I loved the MCs! I did have issues with the constant repeating of the same passages and the last few chapters were a bit confusing, it felt like pages were missing or something…? With the skipping around of certain storylines saying one thing and then something completely different a few pages later. It felt like she started writing out the ideas and then forgot to remove them or at least make the bridge between the thoughts.
Sweet, and briskly paced. Continuity weirdness with the side character, Tank, later on in the book. He has been blowing up the mmc’s phone about the fmc being there, but when they see him in town later in the book he acts like it’s a surprise that she’s there— but it’s done ‘straight’, no side wink about it likes he’s playing off not knowing.
Also, I was confused as to why the town treated the fmc being with the mmc like a pariah, when it’s a town that has humans and monsters living and working together?

This was such a heartwarming romance between Maya the human and Geoff the Yeti. They were online buddies for 3 years before they finally met in person. Both were feeling more than friendship for each other but the logistics were so complicated until Maya moved closer to Geoff, had a wreck in a snowstorm and ended up stranded at his cabin. I loved it.
This is such a sweet fast paced story of love online. Maya and Geoff has been online good friends for 3 years and when Maya heads to the town near Geoff for a job and gaming tournament he crashes. Of course who rescues her but Geoff the Yeti. What follows is a really sweet journey for the pair, that will make you smile and cheer them on. I totally enjoyed this book ❤
Pretty sweet and chill wintertime romance between a human and yeti, friends and gamers for years, meeting in a snowstorm after the FL crashes her car. it was really sweet and fast paced and a warm fuzzy read. personally we needed more in depth and longer smut but it was still a cozy, insta love type romance.
This was a romantic story almost from the beginning. Starting being rescued by her online crush and growing together throughout the book. As their love grew, also their personalities meshed and they became better because of it. A great HEA also as problems were solved.
I’m new to Lara, but this is what I like about the group author series. You find new people to read. This little town could be interesting. I’ll have to check.
A heartwarming story of a yeti and a human. I have a huge crush on the gentle MMC. The FMC was very likable too. They were both mature and had great communication. The discrimination against online relationships was relatable. I have a newfound love for yeti romance now.
