My housemate is dead, but everyone is pretending she’s not.

I used to geocache, but after my last find, I don’t think I ever will again.

Have you ever played the “Would You…?” game?

We each dropped our secrets into a bowl. One of them I'm going to murder one of you.

TWISTED is a compendium of terrifying tales, each with a twist ending. From cursed apps to murderous crows, from mysterious prams to terrifying secrets, this book has every flavor of horror. Read… if you dare.

With thirteeen stories of varying length in total, "Twisted Tales" combines excellent creepypasta vibe with original and disturbing ideas to offer moments of disquiet, wonder, and pure, unadulterated fun! At least, if you love horror stories - otherwise some will leave you shaking a bit. They're all meant to unsettle, and the twists pack a punch! I enjoyed them all, but four of them I found really good and worth mentioning further.

The opening story, "My Housemate is Dead, But Everyone Is Pretending She's Not," is the perfect story to read very late at night, preferably with friends! It's exactly about what the title says, though the ending leaves open another interpretation, even more worrisome than the one forwarded in the story itself. "Have You Ever Played the 'Would You...?' Game?" follows right after, keeping the tension high: it takes on the familiar game we've all played with siblings and friends, introduces the right of one player to challenge another (the roach scene was quite grosss!), turns it into a matter of life and death with challenges getting more and more serious, and, once again, the ending is really good and unexpected. "The Impossible Geocache" is a very moving ghost story, where the activity of geocaching proves to be far more than entertainment for two friends. Finally, "The Baby's Pram" has a truly astonishing climax, making it the most memorable tale, for me, in the book!

I eagerly recommend the collection, either as a palate cleanser between heavier works, or as late-night reading to scare yourself before bed, or, why not, both!

This was a great collection of stories, I enjoyed the takes on the original tales and how it was made unique in this. I thought each of the fifteen tales worked well overall and was everything that I was looking for in a horror novel. Each story was so well written and was glad everything worked to tell the story. scary stories Quincy Lee.

I very much enjoy horror tales, and have been reading a lot of short stories lately. Lee's book is not only engaging and interesting, but also suspenseful and creepy, in a good way. I thoroughly enjoyed the stories and would definitely read more from this author.
