What a beautiful book. This book is published by Hollow press and they have several novels that deal with strange videogames that never existed (Vermis per example or Bizarro World of Fake Games (or something like that).
This one has a art that amazed me. IT feels like Vermis in the dark grimdark stuff.
You choose your adventurer among 5 different like the Candle Knight, imagine a french knight with a candle on top of the head, or Deranged Witch or Gloom Stalker. You are introduced to the quest and then the various places like a RPG and it's monsters. The amazing gloomy eerie art is ever present and it's depressing feeling abating "your" character. No nudity is present but there are some graphic scenes. The cover option was probably one of my favourites. It's a quick read but it's one that may inspire you in your writing of grimdark (I would definitely read this) or creating a new campaign.
I am not affiliated or something like that but I want to share as they have dozens of books and some are pretty awesome. Not all are to my liking , to weird but this is more my wave. 88/100

Helt sjukt bra dark fantasy imagery, som alltid från Strange House.
Hade kanske önskat att storyn, eller egentligen resan, varit lite tydligare i sin struktur (inte för tydlig, dock) men det är det enda jag har som är kritiskt.
Ser fram emot att se vad han gör härnäst.

The artwork in this is stunning! It’s hard to not draw comparisons to Vermis, and this book feels less like a video game guidebook, and more of an art book with a faint story tying it all together. I loved the ambiguity of the ending.
