This was a really great study for the Advent season! Admittedly, I’ve never known much about Advent beyond its connection to the Christmas season, so getting a chance to really take the time to learn more about it like this was really exciting for me. This study goes way beyond the Christmas verses from Isaiah, Matthew, and Luke, and shows the reader how the Bible as a whole really points to the Advent themes of hope, peace, joy, and love.

Like the other Bible studies from The Daily Grace Co., Awakening Wonder includes daily scriptures and two brief reflection questions. It also includes a page each day where the reader can write a prayer around that day’s scripture or theme!

I’m really enjoying the studies from this company. The three that I’ve read so far give interesting information that helps the reader understand the verses while allowing the reader to interpret the verse for themselves, which is wonderful in a market saturated with very un-Christian (i.e.: Christian Nationalist) ideas.

This is the first time I’ve tried a Daily Grace study. It was well done! I didn’t feel I needed to print out all the scriptures, as the study suggested. However, I gained a tremendous amount from this, keeping the light of Christmas on my mind better than most years, (even trying to keep up on basic devotional life in the past.) I know I learned much when the theme kept running through my heart and I was able to share with others! I decided not to write directly in the book, in case I wanted to repeat the study later or pass on to others. The journal questions were thought provoking and helpful. You can easily adapt this to your personal need and time.

This was maybe our fourth or fifth year doing the year’s Daily Grace Co. Advent book together, and this one was my favorite. It centered on the theme of God’s presence and nearness, walking from Genesis to Revelation to demonstrate that God’s desire and purpose has always been to dwell with us.

One of my favorite Bible studies I’ve ever done. It was absolutely perfect for the season that my husband is in. We enjoyed doing this together. Being reminded of how our God is always near ❤️ Highly recommend snagging this one since it doesn’t have specific dates listed like last years. It would be a wonderful gift.

I really enjoyed how this study went from Genesis to Revelation to talk about how Jesus is Immanuel (God with us) and how God has shown up for His people from Eden to Eternity. It really puts Christmas and Jesus coming to Earth (as a baby) into perspective with the big picture.
