Great Advent study, and loved walking through December with this companion. I'm going back and forth on this, but I took a star off because it wasn't quite as Christmasy as other studies I've done are. Some of the readings were actually different stories from the Bible typically mentioned in Advent. While I did like this, because it pulled more of the Biblical narrative into the study. I just felt like they could have done a tad more to weave it to Christmas, and/or connect more of the Christmas season into it.

I found this book to be a very good guide through the Advent season. I found myself reading ahead because it was so life giving. It was the perfect amount of story telling, references, and scripture. I enjoyed it immensely and thought it went well above my expectations.

My wife and I will most likely be returning to this each Christmas season. Gospel centered, not insanely long, but very fruitful and beneficial to work though. Cant wait to do it with our kid when he is old enough!
