Illis quos amo deserviam. Per coloro che amo, mi sacrifico.

I'm a sucker for RH but this just didn't do for me. First of all I couldn't relate to a lot of things such as... how can a blind person know how many people are there in a room or emotions on other's faces or colours or many many such things. I understand blind people learning martial arts but not a lot of the other things that was mentioned in the book. I really didn't like the fact that two of the heroes believed their evil siblings over the heroine even after all the damage. I felt the heroes didn't have enough brains to run a crime family. Too much unnecessary murders and also killing of a pet lion 🦁 (why!?!). And I skipped read this book to the finish line 🙄.

I'm not going to lie, I skimmed this one a lot. I enjoyed the overall story but by the time I got to this third book it just felt a little too drawn out for me.
“You will spend the rest of your life making up for it, August. I’ll make sure of it.”
Star Rating : 5 / 5 Stars
POV : Multiple
Cliffhanger : None
Hero : Victor , Cass , Torsten
Heroine : Fergie
Pace of the story : Moderate
Angst Rating : 7/10
Heat Rating : 7/10
Triggers Involved : Hate Love , Dark Bully , Dark themes , Mafia , Violence
Plot Summary : Fergie's whole life has been Uprooted. The father she knew is not the man she thought he was.and her three heroes , all of them different in their own way, are willing to save her. They are willing to give anything for her and that might just be their worst mistake ever.
Overall Opinion : Omg. It's been so long since a reverse harem romance has hooked me in this bad. If you want a book with 3 super villains and a girl who totally kicks their ass for trying to bully her , THIS IS YOUR SERIES. When I say i can't get enough of revenge taking Heroines 🥹🤌💖
Fergie has to be the queen of all the alpha females out there. You might think that being blind would make it so difficult for her to show her strength but omg. This girl. This freaking girl just ruled them all. I have never wanted to bow down to someone so bad. Not to mention the three boys had their best parts to play in this series. I was so confused if Cass was a part of the harem or not 🥹🤣 because that guy totally went too far so many times but then his character arc was 😭🥹🤌💗 My girl totally made the big bad king heel for her.
Definitely recommending this whole trilogy for all the dark romance loving people out there. If you are like me and love a female who never takes any shit people dish on her and then makes the ones who do brutally pay , you totally want to meet Fergie!
So much betrayal! 😳🔥 The twists, the secrets, the drama—this book had me reeling! The tension was intense, the emotions were messy, and the spice was on point. 😮💨🔥
Dark, addictive, and completely unputdownable—I had to know how it all played out! 👀🖤
It was a bit predictable at times, but still a great ride. I do think the first book was my favorite of the three.
suspend all sense to read all three books, lots of misandry
Too many plot holes A plot where you literally have to suspend reality Annoying heroine. Took a great beginning of a blind character and turned her into a a caricature…. Come on…… she (tiny little thing) brutally takes out 6ft4 trained assassin (love interest) who is described as the beast of all beasts when he is in a full rage with her just having a regular second degree black belt in jujitsu with no extra training in weapons etc and has poor cardio??? When he has been trained his whole life in an assassin academy his mother runs?? Saw all twists and bad guys coming a mile away. Really Unsatisfying epilogues. Crime syndicates don’t work this way (is this a parody) I love gore but this trilogy had ick. Hygiene matters 🤮 Felt like I was reading books patterned after the Kill Bill movies but without the style. I started out liking the heroine ending up hating her and wishing she had been taken out. That’s a first! Weird side note spoilers She ended up only having one kid instead of the promised one for each husband because it was a long labor???? That also happened in this authors other RH trilogy (the son in that RH is one of the husbands in this set). So ummmm why don’t the other husbands get to have a bio child? Why couldn’t “miss im the toughest chick in the world” hack labor more than once? This doesn’t match her character? Also one of the husbands suffers permanent brain damage because miss I’m the toughest little chick in the world beats him into a coma (again unbelievable plot line) for 12 days (in revenge for him releasing their sex tape) and he loses quite a bit of permanent brain function. I think that was where I truly realized I hated this heroine. Permanent brain damage………. He can’t speak right, mixes up letters and can’t remember words slurs speech has short term memory issues FOR LIFE. It ain’t getting better and doesn’t. His speech is sad for rest of book. Over a video????? And then she says she did it because she was speaking his language (Fighting/destroying). And he supposedly wakes up from coma 12 days later wrecked in mind and body and grins stupidly saying I love her????? You do not damage one of your so called true loves for life. Try writing that as if the man permanently brain damaged the woman he loves on purpose by beating her nearly to death and see how that plays out. It wouldn’t. No one would read it. It’s horrific. Can I say it loud enough for those in the back of the room, Brain damaged for life!!!!!!!!!!! She also enjoyed when they kissed her boots/feet and worshipped her?? You know what? After reading what I’ve wrote I’m convinced thinking back over the past three books, the author writes as if she hates men. I love to read reverse harem but not where the men are turned into these weak idiot boot lickers. Each male character was written with such misandry, hatred of men, it was unappealing and such a turn off. Ugh….. Waste of time and author turned into a never read again from her.
I was praying to the lords that this one was going to be more of a more laid back vibe. Just like the second book in this series. But no! How wrong I was. Or the Lord didn’t listen to my prayers. Who knows..
This book stated off very strong with a wonderful case of kidnapping and blackmailing. Was a bit different from the other two. But it was a bit disappointing that said kidnappers and blackmailers became the brothers their friends (big thumbs down).
Could someone please tell me why family group orgies are necessary? Who even asked for that? Not me, that’s for sure. Oh! And don’t get me stated on the pet nama “Princess”. I wanted to throw up in my mouth cause the context around the pet name made it a million times worse.
I had the strong urge to DNF this book after I was about 60% finished. There was this thing that threw me off so much, I wanted to throw the audiobook into a bonfire somehow. But I pushed through!
Also, what in the fuck was this ending? Marrying your THREE stepbrothers all at the same time?! GIRL! ABSOLUTELY THE FUCK NOT!! And of course the story ends with another family group orgy, blegh…
Final verdict of the entire series: Honestly, I am glad it’s over. This was a weird wild ride that made me feel seriously uncomfortable and disgusted. This is not for everyone.
Poison Kiss, the third book in the Stonehurst Prep Elite series by Steffanie Holmes is the final book in a deliciously dark high school bully romance and a definite must read that will take you on quite the journey for an epic conclusion!
This story takes us right back in to the danger filled world of Fergie and her guys, Cassius, Victor and Torsten and dives right into so much drama, betrayal and suspense that it will leave you on the edge of your seat. If you thought the first two books were intense—you haven’t seen anything yet!
I absolutely loved the emotionally riveting conclusion of this series. Steffanie did a fabulous job of wrapping up Fergie and her guys story and answered all the bringing questions regarding the fate of the Trumvirate and it’s leaders and even though Steffanie didn’t pull any punches with the twist filled plot, and some losses may leave you reeling, it totally brought the story exactly where it needed to be and was very well done.
Overall if you love a dark bully why choose romance featuring some delicious alphas and a kick butt blind heroine that’s full of tons of steamy sexy scenes, action, suspense, betrayal, deception and intrigue this is the one for you!
I have read all the books of this beautifully gripping, sometimes funny, sometimes sad but oh so steamy series of three crime families- August, Lucian and Dio that stood together to face the utmost of evil enemies against all odds with the help of a blind sassy girl….
“Illis quos amo deserviam. For those I love, I will sacrifice.”
Fantastic storyline as with all her books with twists and turns that takes you as reader on such a roller coaster ride following the crimson queen and her three men to the ultimate end!
Wow!!! I did not see the majority of what went down actually happening. Totally mind blown on most of it. Man the things I want to mention would be absolute spoilers and I just can't do that. The author truly blew me away. I have throughly enjoyed reading about Stonehurst. I hope we get more with a possible third generation. At least a novella anyway!!!
I expected nothing less from the Queen of Bully RH Romance. This ending is fantastic, and it ties all the loose ends. I'm not sure if I have the stomach for the former triumvirate queens stories. I'm sure it's just as explosive or more!
Satisfying ending to the series. Still addictive, violent, and sexy. The Triumvirate troubles come to a head, and although the twists aren’t really surprises, it’s great to learn all the secrets.
i dotn know how to feel. i both loved and hated this book. i enjoyed parts of the plot and there were definitely a few characters i adored. i really, really enjoyed the character of torsten, and even though his name is a mystery to me, he reminded me a lot of myself, and i loved getting to see him grow with the assistance of his loved ones. a character i really hated though, was juliet. she SUCKED. honestly, she didnt have any redeeming qualities, and seemed to be evil just because she could. she was a borderline rapey, evil, murderous bitch, who seemed liek she got off on hurting her family. that aside, i enjoyed the book overall, but i wish it was just a bit shorter. i feel liek at points this series dragged on unnecessarily. still, i would recommend the series as a whole, because i found it super entertaining.
This book was extremely unique and those are my favorite types of books there are. This book is so different than other books in a good way, I think everyone should read it. The main character of the book is blind, all the way, can only see some shadow and a tiny bit of light blind. I never see that in books and it was awesome. They don’t come out and and say it, it as a mental health therapist, or I have been one and someone who knows a lot about autism, I believe that one of the main characters, Fergie is her name and it stands for Fergus, that is different too though I think she was named after Fergie, the singer, her dad calls her Fergalicious! Made me feel so old because they said it was from some old song from forever ago, it feels like it was a few years ago! But I’m 43. Anyway, one of the three boys in the book also main characters, is autistic. If he isn’t supposed to be, he stems, has sensory issues, doesn’t want to be touched and more that is so obviously on the spectrum but that is never mentioned. They mention that Torsten, if I spelled that right, is different and only his best friends know how to be around him, even his family didn’t understand. As someone with a psychology degree I find it interesting that he is very autistic and no one says anything or thinks to seek therapy, as there are so many ways to help people on the spectrum and these families are made of money. His mother tried to made him “normal” when he is normal, he just sees the world in a different way than others do this makes a very interesting and great combo when Fergie who is blind and has been since 3, I believe, learns to u derstandhi. As no e does as she also sees the world different being blind. I have a niece and two nephews, triplets, all autistics and several friends with kids on the spectrum. I love seeing the stemming (flapping his hands for people that don’t know) and the detail the author went into as it is so accurate. In the book people only say he is different or weird. I see him as autistic, which is a way of seeing the world and people in a different way, but that is my opinion on it. Everyone defines it different and everyone on the spectrum is different. My sister says”everyone wears their autism different” it seems like a small quote but it really is an amazing things that is so true. Then there is Vic, who is the smart, popular, trying to take care of everyone and be the perfect son and casino who is the brute, he is a football player and a brutal person, he is homicidal and my psychotic ex husband used to tell me when he saw red I was in deep shit. Well, class sees red too but is worse than my ex but also nicer at the same time. My ex lost himself when he saw red, case has Vic to ground him and later someone else. So we have some interesting, different characters to start with and they got my attention. Victor also has a garden of poisonous plants and I saw that and though, wow, it’s almost like manderly academy. I am not even sure if that is the same author but there are some def tie ins and it is really awesome. I told my husband about one of victors dads professions, the name and what it included and he thought it was a great name and really good idea, but he said it needed a guitar. We are musicians. My husband and I. I was trying not to spoil that too bad, but victor has a rather large family. He has a twin Juliet and 3 dads. One dad collects cats, my son would love to live at that house. They use a ballroom as a living room. I have not read the story about the parents but there is another series all about the kids crazy parents. But the premise is similar to a lot of books after my first paragraph’s info. A girl moves across the US as her dad married someone rich. She has to go to a prep school, she has a stepbrother that has a room literally right next door, they share a bathroom. Not sure what the mom was thinking as the house has like 100 rooms. So the 3 books are the most popular in school and have a little club that is really huge and most of the students benefit from it. When Fergie moved to this place she had to give up everything she loved as she is running from something but at first you don’t know what. So Fergie doesn’t want to follow the rules of the boys club and they clash. It gets interesting to where one person is dyed blue. Seriously. Then halfway through the series, you find out there is a ton more to this than their little poison Ivey club. I apologize to the author as when I read I cannot stop and review every book. I have to get to the next one immediately. I think I read this series and 3-4 days and that was slow for me. I have some stuff going on at ho,e, husband with dementia, kid .iterallly busted up his knees at school and wow, you should see this illegal lease we have that after 5 years living here they want us to sign plus raised the rent because they know we struggled to pay last month. Fun times. So I usually read faster and don’t sleep much but I sleep more I guess from all the stuff I have to do. Applications for jobs and disability during the day, so can’t read when I want to. But I am sorry I waited to the last book to review and I’m doing an overview of the series.trying not to spoil anything. This book had to be reviewed as it is so different and there are so many different things going on, different layers. It is an amazing series that I’m surprised that the author could keep up with it and I LOVE books like this. I like books with different chars that are real but people don’t usually use for books. I love all of the work that was put in to make this story have so many different layers that every other hour a whole new genre almost appears! It is amazing. Then I find out that there as a prequel series about the parents so we are building on another series already! I’m about to read that. I’ve already read manderly academy and it was wonderful, very different too. Now I need to know more about these parents. I also found out by reading the end of the writing, some people skip that the author is also blind. I’ve been reading her books for at least a year and just found that out. These books are so deep , have so much detail and imagery. I was already amazed and awed by her but add that she is blind, I don’t know how much, doesn’t matter, but wow. Just wow. All of these books are good, I’ve never read one that wasn’t. This series was amazing as it had a lot of the usual dark, enemies to lovers type thing but this book took is 4 layers at least deeper, it could have been several stories in one and it was amazing. I love the things that Fergie is able to do as a blind main character/heroine as us sighties (I love that word, never heard it and it’s great) can not do a lot of the things she does she is able to do amazing things by herself but it shows her needing some help at some times and others she had victor holding on to her shirt in his own house because he couldn’t walk around in the dark but of course she could. It points out she isn’t a super hero, I feel she and Torsten both are. They both live in different worlds that the rest of us and everything is made to accommodate us. They have learned to adapt and succeed in our world when it doesn’t fit their needs. I find that amazing and it makes them super heroes to me. Like I tell my husband, he is a super hero but he doesn’t believe me. When you are blind , autistic or have dementia you adapt, learn to do things and everything is harder but you still have to figure it out and they guys all did and succeeded. Esp Fergie. At times she did things I can’t do at all. Of course her hearing , smell and other senses are better developed because she uses them, we are lazy and as we don’t have to use them, a lot of us forget to. I wear glasses and can barely see without them. I know where everything is. I know what medication is what by my bed and where my scrunchie is and my drink. I know where to step and where not to step and night when going to the bathroom because I can’t see more than shadows and sometimes those aren’t around. I have a dog with too many toys and I have to know where they are. And my situation is just with my glasses off, usually at night and the morning. But I find it amazing the things that she did to be able to be like the rest of the people and do the things they can so she was not the disabled kid people thought she was. She had to work harder too and did. Fergie is an amazing character and the author amazes me too. I know voice control drives me nuts on my phone but I bet technology really has helped a lot of people with the different setting on everything. But anyway. The book isn’t even about her being blind, it is just amazing what she can do while blind, but it is amazing what she can do period. This book is an amazing book with so many different things going on and def worth reading. Read the series and I’m excited for reading about the parents.
I loved that this was the second generation. The FMC is so fierce. And when she got with Cass I think he awoke her and in only her and Cass for she took him out. I loved that she did that to prove a point. But to to the extent. Yes he done some stuff to her cause he didn't check facts first. But he didn't deserve that. I mean permanent brain damage. Even if he found it hot of what she did. And he ex. He's an asshole that also did that filmed them having sex and then put it on the internet and yes led to other things almost killing herself. But still I don't think he deserved to die. But we all know these kinds of books. I also wasn't shocked that when Cass brother came back that he had been doing bad stuff. I was shocked at Vics twin sister tho. He was the leader and yet so blind at the same time. It was the same with Cass and he brother coming back. Vic had suspicions and proved right and Cass the same about Juiet. But neither could see what was in front of them. But Fergie could even being blind. Torsen is a very unique and special person. All 3 guys is very different but all together are perfect for her. Cass her monster. Vic her sensible straight heading one. And Torsen her quiet sweet gentle one. And that is everything the Fergie is as well. Cass was the most difficult one but if you see how he was raised and treated you would see why he was a blackhearted assassin. That how he was raised. It's Truely sad that Cass lost everyone in his family, His mom, his dad he just barely met(but deservingly so) and his brother (also deservingly so) but they were all he had except his other brothers from other mothers and Fergie. Torsen too just as him mom was finally seeing the light and a great talk with him. Straightened everything out and told him she was very proud of him and loved him before shebwas killed in a bombing. I'm sad he didn't get to fix things better but atleast he had that. It really was an amazing series. You reader I think would really enjoy this if your into this kind of books. The author was absolutely amazing writing this. So enjoy and please read the 1st generation you don't have to but you will see who the parents were before this 2nd generation of their kids. You get to know who the 3 women are and also Claudia's husband's. Claudia is the 1st generation series and she is who that series is about with her guys. The other women. Come later in the series toward the end. You see when and how they unite. The 2nd generation is then passing it to their kidd 3 friends from each of women. Come together with 1 blind women who kick their asses and become their queen
i devoured this series. everything about it pulled me in reverse harem?? uh yeah i’m in badass FMC?? hell yes men who treat their woman like a queen?? YES amazing plot w perfect twists and turns?? CHECK
this series sort of reminded me of the blood ties series by ak rose (if you loved this series too, read it. you won’t be disappointed) and i loved every second of it. in this last book, i knew how it was gonna end. i knew gauius and juliet were both manipulating vic and cas and that they were doing something bad behind their back but it was a crazy ride getting to that point 😳
i’m sad that i finished this series. i read it in a matter of days
i also learned so much about w visual impairments and i love that. i also loved torsten. literally everything he did or said i was like “🥺” but more importantly, i have the same problems w getting overstimulated easily and i’ve never seen that in a book before so i loved that
• fergie was so amazing to read about. i absolutely loved her. she’s a badass who doesn’t take any shit. she doesn’t let not being able to see, slow her down. she’s also really funny. but how does she taste like raspberries. her pussy should taste like pussy • torsten makes my heart go pitter patter 🧎♀️. i would lay down my life for that man. F*CK. he’s so sweet and thoughtful and all he ever wanted was to be understood and felt loved by his mom so i love that he finally got to hear that from livvie before she died • victor. there was no description of him other than dark hair but i just know he was so fine. he would do anything for those he loved. all 3 of the boys would. they’re all so unbelievably loyal. victor was so easy to love • …cassius. the stepbrother. he was a wild ride but i loved every second of it. he was amazing too. his mindset truly did change after fergie gave him brain damage
Firstly, I wished to say please read the tigger warnings for the Stonehurst Prep Series <3 Second warning: You will get so immersed in this world. Like I would ever stand a chance with (or god forbid against) the Triumvirate, but I so wanted to be dancing in Tombs or knitting with Euri. After the first two books I wanted to say I knew how this series would end but my dear I didn't. Fergie's glorious power has now been giving the release it needed and with the boys by her side I don't think anything will stop her. After the challenges they faced in the first two books, Fergie and her men have gone through so much...or so we thought. Welcome to Poison Kiss. There was multiple particular scenes that I didn't even want to carry on reading because I knew what was happening and I didn't want to admit it was the end of the series. Even the characters you can't admit you like, you miss.
A note to them: Victor, despite being the brains of the group sometimes switch it off for yourself. Cassius, you are strong not just physically but mentally more than you think blue boy. Torsten, the world is your literal canvas, seeing the world and the ones you love in your own way is beautiful. Fergie, My girl I have fallen for you (not as hard as the Poison Ivy boys) the way you hold yourself, think for yourself, and fight for not just yourself but your family and friends is admirable.
Steffanie, thank you for making this world and I have questionably enjoyed following the truly mental lives of your characters over the past months. The epilogues made me cry and despite not wanting to let them go, it was the perfect way to say goodbye.
EDIT: I saw a lot of reviews questioning how accurate the FMC's descriptions and abilities are in this series, and it almost stopped me from reading it. Then I read the authors bio and her notes at the end of the books, where she tells us that she's legally blind and many of her own experience and abilities are included, so I realized I don't really have a clue what is and isn't possible to discern when you use senses other than eyesight and I'll just trust the author who does. 😊

Loved this ending. Love this FMC. Loved so many women in power, and the dynamics of their relationships with each other and with their children. I wish I had read the parents' stories before this, but considering what happened in this book, that might have truly broken my heart.
Torsten is the most precious soul on earth and deserves every good thing. Vic and Cas are still unofficially in the dog house for never seeing their siblings' truths despite clear signs something wasn't right and everyone around them warning them about them, and especially for being willing to send Fergie away over the demands of someone who supposedly wanted her brother to be happy? Because THAT was never addressed.
These main villains were obvious from book 1 (the brother) and book 2 (the sister) so we've spent all these books waiting for the characters to catch up. Despite all of that, I really enjoyed the series. I think it was Fergie, Torsten, Cali, and Claudia that really made the story for me.
Anyway, I'm glad they got their HEA.

The problem with high-school RH trilogies is that at some point they all start sounding and looking the same. Even when you try to introduce a badass blind FL
This was not a bad book Not at all If it was your first RH or one of the first you'd enjoy it But having read so so so many like this, the story was just repetitive and boring at some point
The writer wanted to shake things up a little so she made her MFL Fergie blind.. alwonderful! I especially loved how she used Brialle to get out of sticky situations. But these moments are so rare that At some point in the book you actually forget that Fergie is blind, and though I am a believer in one's ability to achieve their dreams despite obstacles, there were moments were I was like "seriously? Even a highly trained person with perfect eyesight can't do that!!!" ! Making Fergie a she-daredevil is bordering unrealistic
Back to the subject of trilogies Book 3 was so predictable, I was practically reciting what would happen before it happened Oh she's playing them! Oh! the long lost brother is actually the mastermind Oh look! Another kidnapping will happen Yeeeeh! This one is dying in the next chapter
So overall I liked book 1 Book 2 was fun and childshish Book 3 predictable
Would I recommend this book for someone asking for RH high-school spicy romance? There is a 30% chance yes if they added that they want to see a blind girl doing an autistic boy
Cas, Torsten, and Vic are moving on and trying to continue with their relationship with Fergie. When Fergie and another person they love are put in danger and they believe that their deaths are imminent, they quickly realize that the threats to their mothers’ reign as Imperators is far from over. Unfortunately, when they believe that the threat has been neutralized, they discover the threat is far from over, but they will soon discover those behind the plot to take over are the last people they might have expected. I absolutely love all of the characters in this book, even though at times it is hard to differentiate between the “good guys” and the “bad guys”. Fergie is a kick butt female with surprising skills and a willingness to anything to protect the men she has come to love. The men in her life are all very different, but they all are devoted to the girl they love. The exciting action, violence, dizzying and numerous twists in the plot, made it impossible to put this book down. A deliciously carnal relationship between Fergie and the three men she has fallen, and is willing to die for, make this a must read. Fantastic book and series, that I highly recommend to other readers.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
I'm in awe of the author. She writes the most amazing female lead characters. Fergie may be blind but she has strengths that even those who can see don't have. Maybe because she sees more clearly than those with sight. She is sassy, strong, loyal and refuses to let life lead her, she takes charge. I found myself taking many long pauses and breaths during this final closure of Fergie, Torsten, Cass and Vic's story. My emotions were all over the place and yes, there were moments of tears and the realization of betrayal at the core of everything even surprised me, yet another example of strength in the face of all these characters endured had my heart cracking. I love Steffanie's series but this one opened my eyes to life's challenges (yes it's a book yet with some realistic choices to make) and I no longer look at things through rose colored glasses. Fergie has placed a part of herself in my soul that will only make me smarter and more aware. With that said, the ending was outstanding and only had me craving more even such great closure. It's hard to say good-bye to those that plant themselves into your soul. Outstanding! That's the best descriptive word for this series.
This isn't a typical review for me. I've spent a day hemming and hawing over what to say.
I very much enjoyed this series. I loved seeing POC main characters and having a blind FMC. It's dark, gritty, sexy, full of revenge and blood and very steamy bedroom scenes. I pretty much was glued to the sofa for three days devouring it. It wraps up nicely with a forward-looking HEA that left me feeling all mushy inside.
There were some errors...the FMC describing things she couldn't have known due to her blindness, injuries changing location, the wrong names used, etc. But what ended up with me dropping stars were the covers.
I'm sure there are many that wouldn't be bothered by them, but I just can't find myself to be one of them. 3 books, 3 MMCs, 3 male models...who are all white. Cassius is Black, and wears a glove while fighting. This cover has the model wearing a glove, but he's white. As a white woman myself, I know this maybe isn't my place to say something, but it disturbs me. I didn't notice until I'd finished the series and had a proper look at the covers, but it's put a damper on my feelings about the books. I know you can't always match models to your characters, but I can't imagine that there were no black models to choose from.
This story was longer than I expected it to be but I did enjoy it very much. Some aspects of the story were too heartbreaking and hard to swallow but it finally reached its end. Fergie got her HEA and it wasn't an easy journey whatsoever. Her choice to prove herself to Cassius still haunts me. All the characters went through so much and it was an intense but real way to feel it all. I do have some things I very much disliked that actually flowed through all 3 books that I dont think I mentioned in my other reviews. There were moments where confusing was king because one moment a character was wearing silk boxers and the next (without having moved), is wearing a towel instead. Um, what?? Or how you can be in a spicy scene yet not even a minute later someone is just walking in and no mention of anything indecent. They were little things but those little things had me go back and reread multiple times to understand my eyes weren't the problem. It happened in all the books but I'm only mentioning it now since it bothered me most in this last one. Regardless, it was a good series that I would suggest to others for just a simple fun read.
I had a bad feeling about Jules since the beginning. There were so many signs about her, and I knew she was a bad egg. -Sigh-
Then Cass coming to the rescue at the end. Having to choose between his girl and his brother. Man, I had a feeling about his brother from the get-go too. The way he ran the Poison Ivy club and how manipulating he is. I had a feeling he wanted to rule the Dio family but also take down the other families. He craves power.
I feel for Vic and Torstein. Torstein, losing a family member who I thought never really loved him but turns out Livvy did in her own way and then she approaches him, and they make amends, and Livvy wants to make sure he goes to art school. The broke my heart and of course the next chapter we lose her. Why? I was starting to like her.
Then Vic, having to deal with losing his twin. But Jules played him from the beginning. I understand where she was coming from since she gets the whole 'Be like your brother. Your brother is a true leader blah blah blah.' Havig your parents compare you with your siblings isn't great parenting. But she is a spoiled little b*tch. So, Fergie did Vic a favor and offed her. I'm okay with that since Vic was blindsided by his twin who he thought loved him. At one point in Vic and Jules lives they were inseparable. But Jules had to ruin it.
Also, Fergie is blind which makes her character more badass than your regular female protagonist. Unique touch.

The story is dark, romantic, steamy and action packed with twists. This is a dark, coming of age, reverse harem, mafia romance novel. Even though this has a female protagonist with a disability, she has fierce personality. She is driven and knows what she wants the male protagonists have different types of personality who gel with the FMC well. Each of them have a different type of bond with her that will be liked by the readers. The book has a lot of dark themes so the readers are requested to read the trigger warning first. The twists will make the readers want to read further and the engaging plot will keep the readers hooked till the end. It is a highly recommended series for readers who like this genre.
Personal Take: This series was fun to read. The FMC was ferocious and I liked how she gelled up with all the MMCs. The second book, for me, was the most entertaining and the cliff hangers at the end of Book 1&2 had me picking up the next book immediately.
The Black main character was once again referred to as an ape. I wanted to like this series, but THIS is why we have sensitivity readers.
On top of that this was honestly a lackluster completion to the series that dragged on a bit too long. The characters throughout the books took WAY too long to figure out who the obvious villains were at every turn. Then when given evidence directly and being told by the villains "hey, we are the villains" they still refuse to believe what's right in front of them. I hate to say Vic should've been kicked out. *Mild spoiler ahead*
His complete willingness to kick Fergie out of town in favor of his sister who is a literal cartoon villains by the end is ridiculous. He had absolutely 0 repercussions though he clearly showed where his loyalties were and they weren't with Fergie. Even Cas was a huge disappointment. Torsten was....there. it wasn't really clear what he thought about it but after his unwavering loyalty (running naked through the city) before it seems very out of character for him to just let it all happen and not immediately go with Fergie.
Throughout the books, we've been asked to suspend a lot of disbelief. Which I did gladly, I'd been enjoying the story up until about 50% through the last book. Vic showed no character development. Torsten did get to follow his dreams adlnd do what suits him best which was heartwarming to see. Cas's arc was actually pretty well done in my opinion. He did show growth. Fergie continued to be pretty badass when it counted instead of turning into a damsel like most "strong" female characters do.
It was good BUT there was so much at issue here. First, the small annoyance is where if she’s talking about Galen, it says Gauis in the book. At the end of book 2, where Fergie was taken, Seymour is eluded to being injured and that’s kind of the end of the book but then in book 3 here Seymour is there at the beginning and completely fine. At one point, she talks about never killing somebody with her bare hands before the person that she does kill, which is false because she killed the guard in the freezer by choking him out. Just so many little inconsistencies or miss wording it’s very frustrating. At one point in the first book Torsten has a thought about how he’s good at reading people and their emotions but then in the third book, he talks about how he can’t read people. It was still a good read though
Things I loved about the series: - Fergie is a blind kick-ass heroine - Torsten has autism and it is beautifully portrayed
TW and things I didn't quite enjoy through the series (though TW are listed at the beginning so I knew what I was getting into somewhat): - A sex tape is released of Fergie not once, but twice! One in her old life by an asshole ex. The second happens in this story and is of her and all three of her men. The consequences are a constant issue and her shame is very much detailed
-Victor and Juliet have sort of a incest-y twin relationship vibe (For example, he is watching and talking to a girl who is eating out his sister in a school bathroom after setting up the arrangement for his sister)
-This last book deals with death of a parent

There is absolutely nothing that I don't love about this series! It's got drama, tons of action, intrigue, and lots of steamy romance. I'm all for it my friends!
Originally Cas is the boy you want to hate, of course that could change. Vic is the leader who'd do anything to protect his family. And Torsten is a computer genius that has some odd quirks. I love them, but most of all I love how Fergie fits with all three of them!
The beginning is a little confusing because alot is unknown at the time but keep reading my friends there are lots of answers to be had here.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
