I probably would not

If my husband left me for three years to go into the Military, I probably would have been out, gone, or vamoos. But love is different for others. I enjoyed this short second chance love story, with a little extra spice. I applaud Grayson for his conviction to keep his wife, and perhaps he will not make that vile mistake again with Jaliyah.

Pumpkin Spice and You gave what it needed to give. Jaliyah and Grayson married young and in a small town like Swannanoa, they really could’ve had that simple, beautiful life together. But when Grayson decided to leave for the military against Jaliyah’s wishes everything changed. I understand a man wanting to step up, provide and feel grounded in his purpose but a decision that big 🙄 that should’ve been made together. Instead, he made that choice alone and left her hurting.

Three years passed and Jaliyah’s heart never moved on. Her love never shifted, even though she lived life day by day. Thriving as a business owner serving the best PSL in North Carolina. She carried that longing, that unfinished story, that “what if.” So umm … even with love that deep, I don’t know if I could trust somebody not to break me again. That kind of abandonment leaves cracks you can still feel years later.

But the heart. The heart is bold, stubborn and hopeful all at once. So here we are, watching love circle right back around like it never left. I guess sometimes the heart wants what the heart wants… and love wins again.

Predictable, yet still a cute & cozy read‼️ Thereafter, “service Pumpkin Spice & You” (3.75 ⭐️’s)was a mediocre fall romance read. Although, did I detected there was some spicy shade, animosity & or geritol jealousy in the cafè too 👀. Hmmm, not surprised 🧐⁉️Meanwhile, hopefully more mature Jaliyah & Grayson’s characters reemerge to become more developed, relocate (from bitter-in law) & even recur in other Tina Martin projects. Nevertheless, welcome home Grayson & thank you for your military service & honoring your word to your spice girl 😍🤭‼️

Jaliyah and Grayson’s story was a gentle reminder that real love doesn’t fade it just waits. After three years apart, their reunion was everything you’d hope for: heartfelt, sincere, and beautifully uncomplicated. It was a short read, but packed with that satisfying feeling of love finding its way back home. So glad they got back to where they were meant to be.

This book had me ready to look for a cute coffee shop that had the best PSL! It gave everything fall and love wrapped in one. Baby when that man came back from the military after 3 years he knew exactly what and who he wanted! True love never dies is the best way to describe Jaliyah and Gray story! And thank you for that recipe 😉
