107 pages. This was a fun story with the girls visiting Pixie Hollow and setting a proper tea party for the fairies. Mia baked a lovely cake and brought tea as well. The girls find a bunny with a hurt paw and get help from fairy Beck. Later they go searching for Beck for more animal help and can't find her anywhere. They are so worried they all go out as a search party and end up at Skull Rock. They have lots of adventures that girl readers will enjoy. Highly recommended for Grades 3-5.

Magical and adventurous as always with this series. I liked the scavenger hunt plot and that each of the girls’ talents were nicely highlighted. I did not enjoy this one quite as much as the others in the series. Not as much action I think 🤔.
I use these as a read aloud for my 5 year old and she rates it 105 stars. She said she likes this one so much and her favorite part were the animals and that skull rock was in it.
Overall solid fairy adventure read.

This is another in the Never Girls series and it is another good one. This one finds the girls in Neverland trying to find their fairy friend, Beck. They have to brave the island's dangerous as they look for their friend. Another solid entry.

This book is mostly about Mia because she's the last person to see Beck, an animal talented fairy. Beck was missing. Mia, Kate, Gabby and Lainey help a scout talented fairy named Mika find Beck. They follow lots of trails and footprints. They even find Beck's bag that she uses to treat animals. They find out that Beck is missing at Mia's tea party. Beck said she would be there, but she wasn't. They have to fly across the river to find her. The girls can't fly but Mika lets them use some of her pixie dust. When they land at Skull Rock, Mika's sixth sense knows that Beck is inside Skull Rock so they go inside Skull Rock and look around. They hear Beck but they don't see her because it's super dark. When they finally find her, with Mika's glow and Beck's glow, Beck is with a baby deer called a fawn. She was helping it get a thorn out of its foot. When they finally got Beck back to Pixie Hollow they have a little celebration. Mia makes another angel cake, the same kind she made for her tea party.

This is a cute story about a girl named Mia, her friends, her little sister, and several fairies. All of the fairies have different responsibilities that are helpful throughout the story. Especially when one of the fairies goes missing and they all set out to find her.

Discussion questions:
1) What are the different responsibilities / jobs of the fairies?
2) How do you think they felt when they didn't know where Beck was?
3) How do you think Mia felt when she was being pulled into the mud?
4) Why do you think they were worried about going into Skull Rock?
5) What is a "sixth sense" and how do we use our "sixth sense"?

This book is a fun read for the beginning chapter book reader. The four best friends, Kate, Mia, Lainey, and Gabby, take a trip to Never Land where Mia is hosting her first ever tea party in Pixie Hollow as thanks to the fairies for all their kindnesses. Shortly after their arrival a mystery develops. Beck, one of the talented fairies, is missing so the adventure begins. The action is well paced and the length of the chapters as well as the length of the entire book is appropriate for beginning chapter book readers. The amount of magic and fantasy is just enough to capture one's imagination and hold interest. All in all it's a well thought out package.
