If like me you were a Lancaster student who was a member of Grizedale College this is an entertaining and evocative read. I picked a copy up at the 50th celebrations this month, where several of the anecdotes and points were made in the flesh with no fewer than six current and former college principals in attendance (and the legendary administrators Betty Errington and Barbara Glass).
It's more a collection of recollections than a true history, as Andrew recognises. It pains me to say it given I know everyone involved but I thought the way it was presented was a bit hard to read. It could also ironically for a University college history have done with more proof-reading. This reaches a high/low point with the reference to an Assistant Dead rather than an Assistant Dean (p128)!
