About the author

Amelia Stone

1 book1 follower
Amelia first stepped onto ice at the age of three. It didn't go great, but over time a love of the crisp cold and winter grew. An early knee injury meant her skating always remained only for fun, but she could watch others. The hockey season was sacred, but watching figure skating became her refuge. Her writing tries to convey that love of the sport and artistry's ability to heal the broken.

Her works often inhabit the liminal spaces of life from airport terminals to too empty hotels, spaces where anything truly seems possible. The moments between taking your position on the ice and that first note of music.

Her characters strive to overcome the hardships they have faced, often not knowing what their true limits are, they push themselves too far.

Love is the light that finds those tragically beautiful souls and shows that they deserve happiness and to no longer be alone.

Amelia's favorite place to write is a coffee shop when the drumming sound of rain dulls the chatter of the customers.

This book was just not for me. I also think if you are writing a book that is going to be a to be continued book you should let readers know. I love ice skating so was very much looking forward to this it just felt underwhelming. The characters were young 18/19 and so that could be it because it just felt a little more YA in nature and I do not read a lot of that. So if you like that this may be a perfect for you!

Needs editing

This book has a lot of promise! I enjoyed the story, but there were a lot of errors and somewhat questionable choices that I think could have been improved or eliminated with better editing. A somewhat-generous 4 stars.

This book was exactly what I knew I wanted to read.

But it was very rushed. And could’ve used some editing. I wonder how one becomes a spicy book editor? 🤔

If you like MM romance, this is a good one. Characters are sweet. Really rooting for them. Main Russian vharacter is charming. And the American is so good to him.
