She owns a cat rescue with her best friend and works as a bartender alongside a grumpy teddy bear of an Alpha, Travis.
She's doing just fine without a pack. She swears.
Then, a chance cat adoption and a box of abandoned kittens sends Blair barreling straight into the path of Ryland and Rowan, her scent matches who also happen to be Travis's packmates.
Yet no matter how purr-fect these Alphas seem to be, Blair can't escape her traumatic past.
Will Blair allow love--and all the complication that comes with it--into her life? Or will she decide to stay single and packless, where her only companions are her four-legged friends?
A sweet why choose standalone Omegaverse set at a cat rescue! Feauturing an independent Omega that loves cats and the Alphas that can't get enough of her.
This is set in the same world as Pack Scratch Fever and is Blair's story. You do not need to read Pack Scratch Fever to enjoy this book.
Liliana Carlisle is a romance author that loves angst, drama, and passion. The spicier the better!
She resides in Northern California with her husband, stepchildren, and emotional cats. She started her writing "career" in seventh grade, writing Backstreet Boys fanfiction in her notebooks. When she's not writing she can be found studying classical voice, playing Fortnite, or gulping cold brew.
4.1 stars. I spent a good chunk of this book annoyed as hell at Blair. I know grief manifests in infinite ways, but damn was her running pissing me off. Luckily, there were really sweet men, supportive friends, and very cute animals to balance it all out.
I love this series! I really enjoyed the characters and their relationship! I am obsessed with cat dad alphas! This was such sweet story with a touch of trauma. I highly recommend it!!
Blair is happy…or at least she thinks she is. She has her two cats, a successful cat rescue and she works as a bartender at night. She has everything she needs…right? Travis has spent a year longing for Blair, accepting her tentative friendship in guise of love. He is patiently waiting for Blair to be ready for him. When his packmate Ryland comes into the cat rescue to adopt a cat the time table speeds up…Ryland is Blair’s scent match, which means there is a good chance that his brother Rowan, AND Travis are Blair’s scent matches as well.
Blair is freaked out. She has avoided everything about her omega nature since the death of her past pack. They ended their relationship on friendly terms but got into a car wreck leaving her apartment and died. Blair blames herself and hasn’t been able to move on. But suddenly she’s thrown into the world of her scent matches and they are perfect for her. She’s initially upset, but comes to love how attentive and loving they are to not only her, but her cats. She spends her heat with them and everything seems to be going well until they get into a car accident on their way to her. It brings up a lot of bad memories and Blair runs from them. After a week of being miserable at her parent’s home she returns. She apologizes to Travis for running and the pack and Blair make up.
**THOUGHTS/OPINIONS**
This was a sweet, cozyverse with very little drama. Blair is a “wounded” character with a lot of baggage who needs to learn to forgive herself. I liked her alphas a lot and thought they complimented her very well. The cats in the story are terrific, and the only reason I gave this book 4 not 5 stars was because the “drama” with Annette, the mother of Blairs “old alpha” was anti-climactic and came at the very end of the book. If Annette was going to be in the book there should’ve been more “drama” surrounding her re-appearance in Blairs life. It was odd to just “throw her in” at like the eleventh hour, and then just tell her off. I wish there had been a bit more “bite” to this book, but overall it was a sweet book about finding yourself after loss, and learning to forgive.
A very sweet story that touches on some sensitive topics in a very delicate way.
We have a very guarded FMC that struggles to see her worth and is holding onto trauma from something that happened a few years ago. She is surrounded by good people both at the cat rescue she co-owns, and also at a bar she works at in the evenings, yet she remains guarded.
I connected with this character quite a lot, and I really appreciated how the author let her slowly grow and deal with set backs in that growth. I would’ve liked to see a little more of the strong backbone she showed at one point.
The MMCs were all very unique and each contributed their own important flavour to the relationship. It was great seeing the dynamics between them all and how each relationship grew when they finally met their FMC, although the growth was quite subtle for the MMCs. I would’ve liked a little more delving into their backstories, we only really got more in depth with one of them, which makes sense as it is the FMCs story.
Overall the book flowed well and handled sensitive topics gently, not delving in too deeply, but still addressing the issues. All of the MCs had their growth, some more than others, but all their relationships gained a little more understanding.
It was a very sweet romance that started off slow, but once the MCs got comfortable things got spicy really quickly. That’s not to say the sweet attentive moments of the MMCs didn’t continue amongst all the smut.
This has been a very sweet series so far and I’m looking forward to the next FMCs story.
Sweet, had decent enough plot, but maybe went a bit long
I liked hearing Piper's story and getting to know her pack. I love that the author even gave the cats their own personalities, to a point. (The epilogue was pretty adorable.)
There were one or two points where I felt the story dragged a little bit (mostly towards the end), but it still wasn't bad.
Piper went through a hard loss a couple of years prior, and she's been living with guilt ever since. She didn't think she deserved happiness or a pack, so when she found her scent match, she freaked. Thankfully, someone else who ended up being in the same pack was someone she knew well (and knew her well in return), so they knew how to handle her, to a degree. It took some coaxing from family and friends as well as some time to realize that make she did deserve to finally be happy and stop carrying the misplaced guilt she'd been carrying for so long.
I decided to read this book as a bit of a palate cleanser, and for that, it did the job. If you want something cutesy but not TOO fluffy, with a little bit of a sad past for one or two of the characters to add some 'flavour' to the book, this one may do the job for you. I liked "Pack Scratch Fever" a bit better, but I like the world enough to keep reading this series as the books come out.
Blair has had a hard time since she lost her ex pack/friends. She is still full of guilt for how she lost them.
But her job as co-owner to a cat rescue with her friend keeps her moving & leaves no time to really dwell on the past.
That is until she ends up working at Scents where she works with Travis, who she’s friends with but also kind of wishes he was her scent match.
Then she ends up meeting Ryland at the rescue & immediately realizes he’s her scent match. And with her guilt & fear still running her life, she hides from him.
But she didn’t realize that he is in the same pack as Travis, along with his twin Rowan.
And then these three try their hardest to woo Blair & show her that she deserves this happiness.
She stumbles time and time again but they are still there proving to her that they aren’t leaving & that she is good enough.
Thankfully after a swift kick in the butt from her parents & friends, she realizes she can’t walk away from them.
Add in some cute kittens & funny cat moments & this book was as sweet as it was heartbreaking.
I was very happy when she got her happiness at the end with her pack, it was so deserved.
This is a very cute omegaverse involving an Omega named Blair and her three alphas Travis, Ryland and Rowan.
She works nights at a bar with Travis for a year but neither of them are brave enough to find out if they’re scent matches until his pack mate Ryland comes into the cat rescue and realizes what she is to them.
Travis is the pack leader who is a bit scary and growly but adorable and protective.
Ryland is steadfast and caring. Always letting Blair set the pace while he quietly supported her.
Rowan is a huge ball of chaos who made everything more entertaining with his banter.
I did find at times it felt like Rowan was favoured but other times she was focused on Travis. I didn’t find she gave us much attention to Ryland as the other two but hopefully that isn’t the case.
Her friends were supportive and I’m glad they were pushy with trying to get her out of her head. Her feeling guilty over the accident showed serious mental health struggles and I wish we had seen her actually go to therapy as the guilt was unhealthy and toxic to her life.
The fact this had a cat rescue gave it extra points. A quick, cute read with some trauma healing sprinkled in for good measure.
I've been shipping Blair and Travis since the last book! A FMC with some mental health struggles, and the MMC's and her best friends at the shelter try to help, but the old addage of you can't be helped until you're willing to help youself hold true. Travis, is the strong silent type, but does anything he can think of to help Blair out of her shell. Ryland is more of the golden retriever type, extra patient and will do anything for Blair. And Rowan, his brother, loud, chaotic, emotional, but willing to do anything to keep her. Blair helps run the cat rescue with her friend Piper. She's sworn off dating of any kind due to a tragedy in her past that she blames herself for. That doesn't stop her from crushing on the strong silent type at her other job and the omega bar. Her world gets turned upside down though when her scent match walks into her cat rescue. Once she finds out the truth though, she'll have to decide whether she can move on from the past regrets, or if she'll hold herself away from happiness.
I like how this book showcases the ugly ways grief can affect someone. How it can override any logic, it can have you putting someone on a pedestal or crush you with guilt.
Blair has a serious case of all three in this. It makes her very hot and cold toward her scent matches. Every time she has an interaction with one of them and feels something, she runs and ghosts them. It's frustrating, but I can see that happening in real life.
Unfortunately, Blair put her ex-pack on a pedestal of sorts. They were good friends, gave dating a go then after her heat decided there was nothing romantic there. All of them still cared about one another though and wanted to remain friends, to see them meet their scent matches. Then they died in a car accident and the fmc blames herself for it. She constantly repeats over and over that it's her fault they're dead, that barely any time has passed (2yrs), etc.
It made her a little unlikable at times (realistically so) but also the mmcs as well. Yes they were great and amazing guys, very supportive and understanding. It did feel like a bit of a 180 when they lashed out at one another (said some pretty mean things) when she left.
All in all, this is a sweet and cozy cat-filled omegaverse that's great if you're looking for a lighter read with hurt/comfort vibes.
A cozy, cat-filled Omegaverse romance with heart and healing.
This sweet why choose standalone delivers exactly what it promises: an independent Omega, plenty of feline charm, and Alphas who are absolutely gone for her. Blair is a relatable, likable heroine, strong, guarded, and deeply shaped by her past..whose love for rescue cats adds warmth and authenticity to the story. The cat rescue setting is refreshing and charming, and the kittens are a definite highlight. The dynamic between Blair, Travis, Ryland, and Rowan is tender and steadily built, with lots of emotional reassurance and low-stakes sweetness. While the plot leans more toward comfort than conflict, the focus on trust, found family, and choosing love after trauma makes for an enjoyable, feel-good read.
Perfect for readers looking for a soft, comforting Omegaverse romance with minimal angst, plenty of affection, and a whole lot of purr-sonality.
This book is awesome, wonderful and hot all at the same time. Can you say kitty cat? Ready for some cat action? Blair owns a cat rescue and also works at a bar named Scents. She enjoys both jobs. The cat rescue for all her friends and she just loves cats. Her second job, bartending because of Travis, a guy who looks like a bad dude but is actually a softy at heart especially when it comes to Blair. Blair has a hidden tragedy that causes her to close her off to other people namely alphas. She lost a pack in a car accident on a stormy night. She feels it was all her fault and no one can convince her it was anything else. There are three alphas that are trying to change her mind. Travis, Ryland and Rowan are just waiting, anticipating her becoming their pack omega. This has some twists and one wicked witch who doesn’t quite end up dead. Your going to love this book.
This was such a moving story from start to finish. Blair was such a fun omega with a terrible tragedy in her past. Travis, Ryland & Rolan are the three alphas who happen to be her scent matches. Travis works with her at a bar called Scents where he hasn’t been able to get a good smell read off her but has suspected for a year that she’s it. Ryland walks into the cat rescue she co-owns and it hits her right upside the face and him too that she is indeed their scent match. It gets interesting from there. Those alphas work so hard together to support her and help her know they will always be there for her no matter what. I’m glad she finally accepts it! The cats make the story! Every pack house needs Josie, Rosie and Posie, and of course Ash, and Blair’s two awesome tuxedo cats. Love it!
We first met Blair last year in the book Pack Scratch Fever. She is co-owner of a cat rescue centre with her best friend Piper and she also works at a bar some evenings with Travis a guy who's had a crush on her since she started working there and who suspects she might be his scent matches but isn't sure. His pack mate Ryland goes into the rescue centre to adopt a cat and is a scent matches to Blair. However 2 years ago her ex-pack was killed on a stormy night and she blames herself so doesn't think she deserves this pack of alphas. This book is purrfect for cat lovers.
The next book is about Maeve, another employee at the rescue centre and I can't wait to return.
I loved Blair’s character, as Piper’s best friend, from Pack Scrach Fever. This is definitely a standalone, but it is interconnected with Pack Scratch Fever.
Blair has a lot of trauma, and it was nice to see her work through it in this book. She was a great character and I loved her guys. Travis had my heart from the very beginning, and their relationship was absolute perfection. Ryland and Rowan were also exactly what she needed. I loved Rowan and his chaotic energy, as it seemed to fit Blair and her needs perfectly. This pack was perfect for each other. The story was sweet and cozy, but also sad and then steamy at times. Overall, it was a great Omegaverse book and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
This book started off strong and I was really excited, especially because I loved the cat theme. The beginning pulled me in and made me think I was going to really enjoy the story. Unfortunately, it didn’t stay that way.
As the story went on, it became repetitive and felt kind of bland. The main conflict was mostly the main character blaming herself for everything, which didn’t feel very deep or interesting. The plot felt very simple and one-dimensional as did the characters.
I liked the idea of the story, but the execution just didn’t work for me and I struggled to finish the story.
It needed another round of edits, to many oddly worded sentences that I had to read twice to figure out what they meant along with misplace words. Also the use of the word “womb” was super heavy.
I actually really enjoyed this book, but there were a few things that like I didn’t connect with… And I got so confused towards the end because it seemed like she had her heat and then all of a sudden she had another heat like immediately after and it was only like a week difference and maybe it’s because the timeline was messed up in my own head or… I don’t know, but there was a little bit of confusion for me as I’m reading towards the end of the book And it threw me out of the story. I literally had to like scroll back and see what I was missing and then come forward again so that’s the only reason it’s a three and not a four star.
This was such an adorable and comforting read. As a cat lover with three of my own, the feline vibes were what drew me to the series in the first place, and this book delivered all of my favorite things in one cozy package.
It’s the kind of story you can curl up with and just enjoy. You get the familiar scent matches, nests, and heats, but there’s also a touch of emotional depth woven in. I loved diving into Blair’s story and watching everything unfold for her and the men in her life. Honestly, I think I liked this group even more than the MMCs from the first book 🤭
Now I’m counting down the days until Maeve’s story.
This was a sweet and spicy, yet emotional, Omegaverse. Blair has her reasons for not wanting a pack, and Travis, her coworker, is honoring that, despite thinking they may be scent matches. When Blair meets Travis’s packmates and realizes they are her scent matches, she doesn’t know they are packmates. It takes some time for Blair to be comfortable around the guys, but then life happens and sends her into a tailspin. Travis, Ryland, and Rowan don’t give up on Blair, though. Blair comes to her senses, thanks to her parents and goes back to her alphas. Loved it!
I loved this book! It was such a sweet read. There were several emotional moments that broke my heart for these characters but I will always trust this author to bring it all together in the end.
The three MMCs, Travis, Ryland, and Rowan were extremely patient, understanding, and supportive of Blair. I loved how her relationship with each guy was unique and special. Also, the fact that these guys were such great cat dads was, of course, an added bonus!
Blair did frustrate me sometimes because she would not listen to anyone when she was being painfully stubborn but as someone who can also be stubborn, I understood. I loved seeing her grow and heal throughout the book.
Another win for my friend Liliana! The Pack's Pajamas is out now! Go read it!
What to expect: -MMCs fall first -Why choose -Small town -Cozy -Cat dads -Hurt/Comfort -Nerdy Hobbies
This is a very good, well written, Omega-verse romance. Blair loves cats, she co-owns cat rescue. She also works with Travis, who is the pack leader with brothers, Ryland and Rowen. Two years ago, her pack died and she wrongly blames herself and does not want to find her scent matches. She suspects Travis but can never get a clean scent. There are some editing errors but they do not affect the story. Read how her scent matches and cats help her overcome her guilt and find happiness.
Officially obsessed with this kitty cat rescue omegaverse series. It’s interesting how the characters grow and change with their trauma and pain just like how people do in real life. Healing isn’t linear sometimes you have moments where you slip back into old habits or ways of thinking. I love how Blair’s kitties comfort her and leave her gifts. I was surprised to read the last two chapters from their point of view it was super adorable. It was good to see how the rescue is doing.
I am loving this series! 😍 Cats, cats, and cinnamon roll Alphas. What more could you possibly need! This was such a sweet and endearing read that I could not put down. It's got the right balance of plot and spicy goodness. Travis, Ryland, and Rowan are patient and totally devoted to Blair, and they seriously love cats! Another great read by Liliana Carlisle. Can't wait for the next book in the series.
I adore cats so had to snatch this book up by a new to me author. It’s about a depressed omega who has a cat rescue with her bestie. I loved everything regarding that. Travis not being able to confirm that she was his scent match for a year was the reason for four versus five stars. I don’t buy the inability to tell while walking her to her car after each shift. Otherwise I think this book was purfect.
The Packs Pajamas by Liliana Carlisle was a sweet, fun read. Blair co-owns a cat rescue with her bestie and she also works at a bar as a bartender. She doesn't want a pack because of past trauma. She meets her scent matches. I love that this is around a cat rescue. And I love me a sweet, loving cat daddy. HEA.
Blair's Story Overall, I think this was a sweet read. There were some emotional and heartfelt moments too. In addition there was humor, spice, and romance. Travis, Ryland, and Rowan, I absolutely loved them. They were so patient, understanding, and supportive. Blair was confident, smart, and stubborn. Im was proud to see her grow and open her heart again. I loved the epilogue!
Travis, Ryland and Rowan definitely had their work cut out for them. But being with anyone you love who has trauma has its challenges. Blair is stubborn and scared, and I cannot blame her. This was a lovely book, more emotionally in depth characters, supportive chosen family. ALSO ONCE AGAIN: AN OMEGAVERSE CAT RESCUE? liliana is a genuis

The Pack’s Pajamas is book two in the Cat Rescue series. They can be read as standalones but I recommend reading them in order as characters cross over.
