David Johnson stories speak to the heart. He has certainly has topped himself in his latest book, Ransom‘s Surprise! Reuniting the characters from his best storylines was genius! Junior Ransom has retired and an old friend is in need. What junior finds in his quest to solve a mystery brings renewal to old relationships and healing to strained ones. Junior runs across Tucker, who is by far my favorite character in all books I’ve ever read. Tucker is a plain mountain woman whose wisdom is far beyond her vocabulary. Life hasn’t always been kind for Junior or Tucker, and a shared experience from their childhood created an everlasting bond. This book is like getting a two for one deal!
David Johnson doesn't stop surprising the readers. This story is well written and it was hard to put down! Looking forward to the next book in the Ransom series
