This book came to me at the perfect time. My wife and I are entering the latter stage of our lives, contemplating next steps, and I was coming off a health scare that left me feeling, well . . . quite fragile.

Dr. Tynes gave me a roadmap going forward. After reading The Antifragile Man I no longer have the apprehensions I had about retirement. I see an abundant, limitless future, where I’m the captain of the ship. I no longer have doubts. I’m no longer fragile.

The book is written in a positive, encouraging tone, with strong voice. I particularly liked the chapters on conceptualizing what it means to be a man and on how to view the back nine of our lives, as well as those on diet and fitness. I have a new pedometer coming in the mail, and will incorporate many of the book’s other suggestions going forward. For the things I was already doing, this was further encouragement.

Well done all around. We need more people like Dr. Tynes in the world.
