Alana Powers is a triple threat. Brains, beauty, and intelligence. As a smart and savvy business woman, Alana’s drive and passion for ensuring the success of Powers Construction is unparalleled. Nothing and no one can get in her way, except marriage.
Noah Tate is caring, compassionate, and driven by his need to succeed. Fresh out of jail, past mistakes are now behind him and Noah is determined to prove that he has learned valuable lessons about life. This time he refuses to allow anything to stand in his way. Unfortunately his record is proving to be more of a hinderance than he expects.
A blessing falls into Noah’s lap, leading him to Powers Construction and right to the woman he knows will change the trajectory of his life, but only if he can convince her that love can be a struggle but it’s definitely worth fighting for.

It’s been four months since Noah’s conviction was overturned on appeal. After six years of being locked up, he’s reacclimating to life outside of jail but, with his record, he’s havin’ a hard time findin’ a job. Surprisingly, the Bishop actually comes through for Noah and helps him get a job with Powers Construction Company.
Since she was 10 years old, Alana has known she would be the President and CEO of Powers Construction when her dad retires. But, to make her dream somewhat of reality, she has to get married. Allow me to explain the somewhat. Alana is Gideon’s cousin which means her dad is Senior’s brother. Lucas subscribes to the same rule as his older brother but, his way of thinking is a little bit more archaic. He believes women shouldn’t work at all but, since he practically raised Alana on construction sites, Lucas’ compromise is to sign over ownership of Powers Construction to her future husband and she can then work for him. See what I mean by somewhat? What in the 1950’s shyt is this?!!!
While working on the construction site of a new project, Alana is suddenly yanked backwards out of the way of falling lumber. When she turns to thank her rescuer, she is met by the most beautiful pair brown eyes and my girl is instantly a smitten kitten. Vi’Shaun who?!!! I absolutely loved this story. The Blueprint To Love was a highly anticipated read for me and, it did not disappoint. Noah was loving, caring, and driven by his faith. He was 100% his authentic self and he never let his parent's hurtful treatment of him take him out of character. Alana was that bytch. She ruled in a male dominated field with confidence and ease, she demanded respect, and she got it. She and Noah fell in love so organically and Alana allowed him to lead in their relationship and in Powers Construction. These two were absolutely perfect for each other. We finally got an explanation on why Brenda hated Noah so much and it’s exactly what I thought it would be. But, I don’t think she and the Bishop got the ending they deserved. That scene in the epilogue was anticlimactic AF. After the way Brenda showed her azz in this book, we deserved to see that heffa get hers on page. But, I digress. If marriage of convenience is your jam, add The Blueprint To Love to your TBR expeditiously. You won’t be disappointed.
“The Blueprint of Love” was a highly anticipated read for me, and let me say, it was worth the wait. When Noah was in “All The Smoke,” I knew I would love him forever. It’s just something about a man that is secure in himself that makes my heart skip a beat. And not only is Noah secure, but he is also strongly connected in his faith, morals, and integrity. If “standing on business” needed a poster child, Noah is the one, and it’s not even close. I can hear his voice through the pages as I read. I just know he “walked with a limp” and had a voice that would make all common sense go out the window. Basically, I loved this man down lol!
The moment Noah saved Alana from a potential work injury, it was clear that he would be her protector. Alana is my shero - headstrong, independent, and unafraid of going after what she wants. However, the one thing Alana wanted, Alana couldn’t have based on a family rule. I was curious to see what Alana would do to overcome this situation, and she did what I expected - figure it out on her terms. Alana quickly became infatuated with Noah, and I completely understood why. Their chemistry was so strong, that Alana didn’t have an issue letting Noah lead.
When it comes to piecing together a unique storyline, T’Lyn does that well. I loved that Alana worked in a male-dominated industry, but held her own. I also loved that Noah is a God-fearing man and a virgin; this was completely out of the norm for T’Lyn but her signature male character with BDE was felt throughout the book. The updates on Smoke, KK, and the boys were appreciated. The brotherhood between Noah and Smoke was the perfect example of what “family over everything” means. I feel like Bishop and “First Lady” did the absolute most throughout the story. But their shenanigans added a needed layer of drama to the story. And there’s a plot twist that had me shaken up, I was not expecting to be stressed. Whew, the secrets!! I can say with my entire chest that Vi’shaun worked my nerves! He kept poking at Noah throughout the book, he deserved worse. But I guess seeing the man you belittled become your boss and marry your “girl” is sufficient, for now.
Overall, the book was good from start to finish. I loved this take on the marriage of convenience trope. Getting to experience Noah fall in love with his true love, after years of being shunned by his parents was bittersweet. I did not doubt that his heart was safe with Alana. As a Social Worker (I may be biased) I loved how Noah wanted to give back and help others who were being released from prison, a little help goes a long way. Ugh, amazing job on this one!
Noah Tate 🫶🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 compassionate, loving, hard working. Alana Powers, strong willed, with a strong work ethic. I loved EVERYTHING about their story. Her desire to be a boss, & preserve her family legacy. His faith in God and big heart towards people. The romantic night he planned, the camping trip and then the honeymoon awe just beautifully written ❤️🫶🏾🥰 Smoke was still hilarious 😂🤣
“Everything about Noah Tate impressed me. Literally everything. “ Alana
Ohh that Brenda & Bishop Tate 😡🤬
This book just gave me the warm fuzzy, I couldn’t stop smiling while reading it! ❤️🥰😘🫶🏾
❥ This is my second read by T'Lyn and it was another banger. I definitely need to quickly read through the rest of the catalog because I’m addicted to their books. ❥ WHAT A MAN NOAH IS !!! He is definitely going down as one of my fave MMC’s ever. He knows how to treat a woman and he gave Alana the love she didn’t even know she needed. A man of god and so respectful. I’m in love 🥹. All the things he went through in life he didn’t deserve and to know it didn’t break him was beautiful to read. ❥ My girl Alana was a boss and I loved how she took nothing from anyone and was independent! She needed someone to help her into her soft girl era and I just loved that for her. ❥ I really enjoyed most of the side characters in this book. The friendship between Alana and Talayah had me laughing cause she is a trip and I loved her. ❥ Bishop and Brenda can rot !!! I ain’t never had such a dislike to two people before.
I really enjoyed this story from start to finish and finished it in one sitting. The chemistry between Alana and Noah had me kicking my feet and giggling on my couch. Their love may not be ideal but I really enjoyed their story and would re-read a thousand times over.
WHEW!!!!! Where do I start…. 1st things 1st I LOVE the Tate brothers. I thought Smoke was bae but hands down if I had to choose it will always be Noah. My man, MY man, MY MAN!!! Noah was perfect if ever such a man existed. That man was one you never saw coming but everything you needed. I think I loved him the most because HE was a praying man, a gentle man, a kind man, and a nurturing man, and a loving man. YES!!!!!!!! And please don’t get it twisted because if he had to, he applied whatever pressure was needed if you tried him or his loved ones.
I believed Noah when he said that he fell in love with Alana the day he saved her from the wood falling on her and vice versa. But who knew an arrangement could turn into love. Noah allows Alana to be in her soft girl era and I loved that for her. She allowed him to lead her, pray for her, nurture her, cherish her, and then love her. Watching their relationship blossom was beautiful.
Alana saw Noah for who he was always. She never saw him as his past, the things his parents spoke over him, or nothing negative. When she looked him in his eyes she saw kindness. Baby their relationship can truly be #GOALS because Alana made Noah a proposition, he prayed on it, agreed to it, and then built a love and bond that was to be reveled in. I mean the way they spoke to each other with love and kindness, WHEW!
The fact that the only people Noah had due to having trash af parentals was Smoke, Solo, Si, Kaori, Bino and Scoot (kinda) he never missed a beat. He was loved by the people who were suppose to love him even as small of an amount as that was, and when him and Alana became one oh baby, it was up. He gained an entire family that loved him, especially her parents and they had no problem showing him and telling him.
Miss T’Lyn you wrote the hell out of Noah and I mean that in the best way. Noah wasn’t your typical character. He wasn’t unhinged, he didn’t talk reckless, he didn’t smoke or drink, he had 1 tattoo, and he loved God more than life itself. You wrote a man we could relate to and fall in love with and that’s what I did, I fell in love with the good guy. Thank you for this love story, you penned it so beautifully.
Let me start by saying I'm a sucker for marriage of convenience trope and this one doesn't disappoint.
Alana Powers has taking over Powers Construction as her number 1 goal. The one thing in the way of accomplishing her ultimate goal is the antiquated rule that she be married if she is to take over the business. No one she has been with has sparked the desire for a relationship, let alone a marriage until she locked eyes with a new guy working at her site.
Noah Tate is fresh out of prison and looking to start a new life; the only issue is his record. He is given a chance at Powers Construction. Trying to prevent an accident from happening, he grabs the arm of Alana to prevent her from being hurt. Little did he know that this will change the course of his life.
I absolutely loved this story. Noah's character is so caring and driven by his faith and I loved him. Alana ain't no slouch either. I loved reading her storyline and how she was about business. She had goals and worked hard to accomplish them.Although she was used to being the HBIC she allowed Noah to lead in their relationship and they were just perfect for each other. Smoke is still absolutely hilarious and all his interactions with Noah in the book had me cracking up. Now as for the Pastor and his wife they were total basura 🗑️
If you love marriage of convenience this one definitely needs to be on your TBR.
The Blueprint to Love is literally one of the cutest marriage of convenience books I've read in awhile. Noah and Alana's unconventional beginning really sets the tone of the book. They meet on a job site by chance, and the chemistry is off the charts. Noah having just gotten out of prison and Alana needing a husband to inherit her father's company. The arrangement is set, and the couple gradually begins to fall for each other. Noah was really the star of the book for me. He was so sweet, so steadfast in his beliefs, and he wasn't changing for anyone. I think that fans of T'Lyn who are used to her brash and unhinged MMC's will love him because Noah was just a refreshing change. He was a true lover boy. The way he went to bat for Alana and stood beside her no matter the status of their relationship was so sweet. Another highlight of this book for me was Smoke and Noah's relationship. I love when men show affection towards their family members and aren't afraid to say I love you or be vulnerable. Smoke didn't play any games about Noah and vice versa, no matter who it was, and their parents were so trash they definitely had to stick together.
Marriage of convenience. Alana was such a brat but Noah had to show her a few things! I would think if Noah didn’t curse he wouldn’t say ninja. Smoke is still Smoke and hilarious. I think it’s just super odd for Alana and her dad have such a great relationship for him to be so mysogonistic. I knew what the plot twist was, it only made sense.
T'Lyn this one touched my heart. This was a beautiful love story from the beginning to the end. The love that this couple shared was so sweet. Y'all just read the damn book.
The Bible says David was a man after God’s own 💜 heart. Noah reminds me so much of that saying! He was just full of goodness and restraint. I don’t think I’ve ever seem MMC crafted as all around desirable as him. Alana was definitely what he needed with her confidence and assertiveness. Her family became his!
That was a nice follow-up to Smokes' story. I liked Alana and Noah as a couple. But the scary parent trope has become increasingly popular. I liked the story otherwise. No spoilers... it's a good read if you can overlook Bishop and Brenda.
There is just something about a man that is guided by faith and truly love by thy word. Noah was such an amazing man that was dealt a shitty had in life with two extremely messed up individuals. Bishop and Brenda were disgusting and evil. Bishop was weak and stupid. Smoke was still unhinged as ever lol. Alana was a boss in her own right but needed someone like Noah to tap into her true softness. They glanced out each other and wanted to make each other happy. I’m glad they were all about communicating, learning and loving. T’Lyn you did your BIG one with this sis 💙
Noah was verryyyy patient and gave a lot of people grace even when they didn’t deserve it like Tameka and his parents; he was the definition of “nice guys finish last”. Glad he had instances where he showed his kindness shouldn’t be taken for weakness. Loved the growth from Alana throughout the story even though her mom was a little annoying about wedding planning and grandkids. The Tate “parents” remain trash especially with the way they abandoned and disowned Noah, and the stunts they pulled with Meka, at the pizza diner, and birth mother. Enjoyed seeing the other characters from Crescent Falls mentioned like Rhian & Gideon, and Kehlani & JV.
This was really good, Noah really was that guy reading his story was a true testimony and I lived for it . His character I didn’t expect it but was amazed at how he was god loving man and he and Alani was perfect for each other the balance was to good and he needed her just as much as she needed him.
Alani , lay & Kin I like when it’s solid friends and them adding kk in the mixed . Muah 😌
Noah & Smoke relationship I just love it , smoke be rising for Noah always had no question ! I love the banter with them unmatched . Smoke had me literally rolling in this book so freaking funny! 😂
Trifling mammy … 😡 & bishop smh!
This was great! & I lived for majority of the characters I’m still kinda want scoot and smoke to make up but it’s probably not happening but I’m not mad at it !
When an fake marriage turns into real love ❤️ Noah is bae , he is so perfect ☺️☺️☺️ I really enjoyed Alana and Noah love story ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I just finished and lawd have mercy she wrote tf out this book 😩😩😩 had me crying in the end . Tears of joy because Noah is such a deserving man . ❤️❤️❤️ he is the light that shines at the end of the tunnel! sunshine on a rainy day ! He is everything good plus tax ! I’m adding this to my favorite books of 2024 ! This such a beautiful story , I wish I could read it again for the first time 😫
Noah was that man!! After everything he went through that man came out on top and better than before. I know it’s hard when it seems like everything and everyone is against you but honey the bounce back was real. I loved how no matter what Noah stood strong in his faith! And miss Alana she wanted so much to run her family company she was willing to do anything to it but honey life has a funny way of working out. Meeting Noah changed her outlook on life. I loved how things came together for them despite the many no obstacles they endured.
I thought I loved Smoke, but I should’ve known his brother was going to be the blueprint 😌😏. Noah and Alana were everything!! I just loved how they came about and their journey to HEA. I would like a short of his roommate getting out and Ms Talayah, possibly; or Kinsley. This was such a great read!!
Noah and Alana together was just destined. Noah really had faith and restraint cause bishop with his selective scriptures and that excuse of a woman ughhhhh. I was just hoping that Noah got his own peaceful family. Yes to the epilogue. I also had some laughs with Smoke, Koari, Talayah and Kinsley which made for even more entertaining read. 4.5⭐️
Listen… this right here? Everything. I was not prepared for how good this was. Ms. T’Lyn cooked up a perfect dish and didn’t miss a single ingredient 👌🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. I enjoyed this from cover to cover, no skips. If you’re debating how to experience it—audiobook is a must. Better yet, read along while you listen. Trust me.
This was okay, though like with the other book, Alana like Kaori got on my nerves with the oblivious immaturity. I get spoiling your kids, just don't make them life dumb. Alana worked my nerves even with her low key entitled attitude, she was constantly giving Noah a hard time over nothing when she was the one that needed him. She got mad at the stupidest stuff, made horrible decisions when it came to Vi'shaun, asked way to many redundant questions, made dumb assumptions allll of the time. Like she wanted to run the company but was surprised Noah didn't have tattoos she thought everybody had them smh, though he did have one. The questioning him AFTER they were married on a whim if he was gay was mind boggling, like you a whole grown woman who needed to marry to get the company, you immediately went there instead of being a grown up woman and having a talk about sex?!?! As ignorant as Solomon was I appreciated that he was him and grown whe Kaori was still a hot immature mess. Noah was a good guy that needed to speak up more about everything, he was to elusive until pushed. Yet, he bowed to Alana way to much when she was being uncompromising, hard headed, not caring about making decisions together. Once again their parent issues was heavy and needed to be explored more, why didn't it come out that Brenda killed his birth Mother??? It's so much the brothers could have exposed, I don't know, it's a lot of missing pieces for me. It was okay I guess.
Outside of her normal and more closed door and vibes and not what I was expecting. It had some plot twist, which happen at the end of the book and felt rushed. Overall not a bad read.
Some of their views were… and then such girl not wanting to take over the business after thats all she’s been whining for and letting such man take over?? Yeah you pissed me off bad

4/5 - Marriage of convenience is going to do it for me every time. I loved everything about Noah and Alana’s love story, especially watching them fall in love. - Alana was goal and business driven and deserved the soft life Noah provided. Noah deserved all good things — plus his faith in God and big heart toward others. - Those Tate parents got off too easily if you ask me.
