About the author

Blake R. Wolfe has adored werewolves and monsters since he was a child growing up in a small rural Michigan town. I didn't think this one could live up to Book 1 with the werewolf, but I was pleasantly surprised.

I was expecting a very commanding BDSM alpha bear character, which frankly would have been a fine thing in this book, but Blake wrote this one differently and I liked how it deviated from the expected stereotype I had in my head.

I would love to see some of these small short stories expanded out later either with the same duo or with the monster. I think the characters overall are pretty good for short stories.

The Swing

I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this erotic short. Yes, it was hot AF but there was also a great deal of tenderness and empathy that is often missing in these types of works. I very much connected with the feelings of exhaustion and emptiness that Johnny was carrying and the werebear, Ferguson, was a sweet and tender instructor.
I'm definitely a fan of this author and I look forward to reading some of the other volumes of this series.

This is tagged as romance, but it is not. It is a simple steamy meet-up. So if you are up for a short, steamy quickie, this is the right choice for you.

I feel like this book is very similar to the other previous three. I don't really feel that there is a difference in writing. The characters are different but the descriptions of the spicy scenes are the same or very similar. I don't think I will continue with the rest of the series but I may return to it later on.

I’d read the other ones that came before it in this series, so I figured why not? The relationship in this one was interesting. (I mean they all have been so far …) I think it was the ending once again that sealed the deal for me.

The monster in this story gives a reminder, the biggest people can be some of the gentlest. The werebear may have looked intimidating, but he gave such great care and may have found something more.

tbh i kind of wish these were all just put into one book as a collection of shorts rather than their own separate entities. ~40 pages per couple aren’t even long enough to be considered a novella imo
