Well, that was anticlimactic.
This book very much felt like a “fluff” finale book. The first 10 minutes of the book, and the last 10 minutes of the book are the only parts of substance. Everything else (the fluff) is just descriptions of clothing and decorations, whining about poor communication, Whining about mana and really vague sexy time scenes.
Overall the book was just..meh 😑
I will not recommend this series now having read the conclusion. This entire series felt very YA, but it was especially obvious in this final book.

A beautiful ending to this trilogy, that had me on the edge of my seat the whole time, with battle scenes, chasing down more frost monsters and even a little more romance sprinkled in! If you don’t like spiders fair warning but even they added to the excitement of this book!
We pickup right where the last left off with our FMC Everly leaning the truth about her hidden powers and seeking out the dragon to release them and our frost king MMC Draven doing everything he can to protect his wife and his people. As more scarier and stronger monsters continue to emerge from the frost and harm his people, they must look to unlikely allies to save them all! Can the two of them work together and unlock Everlys powers to remove the curse on the winter court, or will the Unseelie and Everlys uncle hinder their efforts even more?
This book really did have me flipping to the next page over and over waiting to find out what would happen. There was action and battles, turmoil and devastating loss, and of course many monsters that kept me on my toes the whole time I was reading. I cannot believe that this is the end of the trilogy I have enjoyed reading so much and while the conclusion of this story is wrapped up nicely I would still love to see more adventures in this court, especially both sisters hopefully eventually finding their own happy ending! Overall I am so happy I read this series and got introduced to this beautiful and magical world these authors crafted! My rating 4.8/5!

Fantastic conclusion to this trilogy!!
Picking up right where we left off in book 2, this one had me on the edge of my seat almost the entire time!! I loved this whole trilogy and was sad that it ended!!

This was... fine. It started out great.
Then I fell flat unfortunately. By book three I felt like the romance should have been "romancing" more. I did not believe Draven and Everly were in love. They barely even talk! I love a morally dark grey hero, but Draven just didn't do it for me. He just kept making bad decisions and blaming it on the war. And Everly never calls him out for this. The lack of communication was frustrating.

DNF at 65%.
I just couldn’t anymore. I tried hard to make it through but I was so bored. I skimmed through 30 pages and didn’t miss anything. Just moved too slow for me.

So, I went back to try and finish it after reading some reviews. I skimmed chapters and CHAPTERS (the last 30% plus more dedicated to the “big war”) and made it to 94%.
I added a Star. It’s not horrible. Just bored me to tears with so much of the book being war. Just not for me.

I loved the ending and the last battle which was on par with four star expectations but 3/4 of the book was so slow and had hardly any forward action or character growth. I need one of those to be four stars. I feel like Draven and our FMC stalled in their relationship growth. Yeah, they got physically intimate but really did not have emotional growth or development because they didn’t communicate and then at the end it just seemed like everything was HEA with no depth. It could have been done so much better.

I loved this conclusion to Everly and Draven's story, especially the second half of the book. It was definitely bittersweet. Cursed to the Ruined Court has just the right amount of serious, deep and heartfelt moments balanced with great character growth, love and emotional elements, plus a dash of humor. There was growing tension, battles from all sides (and internally), tons of action and monsters, snarky female remarks, and of course the best furry sidekicks! I was elated when Everly finally remembered to read the book about the Skathryn and learned more about her connection with Batty.
Everly's emotions really emerged in this book. Her realization of her found family, through her friendships with Navara and Soren, with her growing love of Draven, of course with her real sister, Wynnie and even Mirelda, was beautiful. She had a profound journey in accepting who she was and acknowledging her emotions (from grief, loss, hate and love), and how they are all so closely related. Two passages in the book related to chaotic and overwhelming emotions were written perfectly: "A storm with no real center.", and "all I had to do was tuck the memory of his final wheezing breaths away somewhere with all the torture and bloodshed and pain I kept in my box of trauma, then let the world keep turning as it would."
Fated to be together, Everly and Draven seemed to be constantly battling outside forces. Thankfully their constant battle against each other lessened in this book. I adored their mental connection. From him checking on her because of worry or concern to their mental banter, it was great. Even when it was muted, it was never gone and they could still feel each other.
I did miss Nevara and Everly's budding friendship. Honestly, I missed them all being together (Everly, Soren, Nevara and Wynnie). Their relationships were still developing and was sadly put on pause too soon. We did get lots of Wynnie scenes, and I love her even more after this book. She was funny and her banter (mostly with Draven) had me giggling.
The whole series is an easy read, is easy to love, with an easy to understand kind of world. And that Epilogue. While the series wrapped up nicely, the Epilogue left me wanting Navara's story!

Reaching the final book in a trilogy is always a little bittersweet, and Cursed to the Ruined Court absolutely delivered on that feeling. As the conclusion to the Frostbound Court trilogy, this book is intense, emotional, and packed with everything I’ve come to love about this world.
We pick up immediately after the ending of Bound to the Shadow Queen, and I really do mean immediately. There’s no gentle easing back in here. Everly is standing her ground in the face of overwhelming power, determined to claim what is rightfully hers. Watching her journey across this trilogy has been incredible, and in this final instalment she’s pushed further than ever before. The question isn’t whether she can take her place, but whether the cost of that power will be something she can live with.
This finale is fast paced and absolutely jam-packed with mana fuelled battles, monsters, and moments of genuine loss. The stakes are high throughout, and I never felt like the action was there just for the sake of it: every fight, every sacrifice, and every difficult choice adds to the weight of the story.
At the heart of it all are Everly and Draven. They fight for each other as fiercely as they fight for their court, and their relationship is one of my favourite parts of the series. The slow-burn romance that Elle Madison and Robin D. Mahle are so SO good at really shines through here, with emotional moments that feel earned rather than rushed. Their connection is tested again and again, and I loved seeing them choose each other despite everything stacked against them.
One of my favourite things about this book was the return of side characters we’ve already fallen in love with. Wynnie and Batty, in particular, remain personal favourites and brought some humour, sass and some heart to an otherwise heavy story.
The world-building also continues to shine in this final instalment. We’re immersed even further into Skaldwing and Frostbeast lore, which is woven seamlessly into the plot, educating us readers without slowing the story down.
Cursed to the Ruined Court is a powerful and emotional conclusion to the Frostbound Court trilogy. It’s intense, heartbreaking, and incredible. Saying goodbye to Everly, Draven and Winter was not easy but, let me tell you, the epilogue was perfection. If you’ve loved this series so far, this finale delivers in every way and absolutely earned its five stars from me.

This was my first time being a beta for an author(or authors) so I think it left me with an even deeper appreciation for the story and the authors. Seeing the changes that get made in order for the story to have the right pacing and feeling at every step is truly magical and I think they did an amazing job with the end result.
The beginning pacing of this book was perfectly balanced between the two POVs and immediately sucks you in. Especially with how the cliffhanger from the last book lets off.
The middle of the book calms down a bit but maintains tension with how Everly is struggling with her mana issues and the continuing escalation of frost beasts and a certain characters life that hangs in the balance. And although a lot is going on, this part of the story does feel a bit slower paced with just a few new nuggets of information here or there. It is the reason this book didn’t quite get 5 stars for me but the way all this builds into the final chapters of the book is absolutely incredible.
The amazing climax of the story, the inevitable showdown between all the key players, is perfect. I was honestly scared that wrapping up that much story would feel rushed or incomplete but it absolutely does not. It is impressively perfectly executed. It’s not perfect in a happily ever after kind of way but it’s perfect for these characters and this story. Everly and Draven grow a lot in this series but even more so in these last few chapters. And it’s clear they aren’t done growing. It’s an ending that feels satisfying while leaving the readers with the understanding that life will still be hard and messy for our MCs but that’s what makes it beautiful.
Overall it’s hard to describe this book without giving any spoilers for the series, but your takeaway from my review should be to read this series. It’s the perfect balance of plot to romance, the characters are impeccable, and the vibes are so fun for the wintertime. And the pet sidekicks are adorable and impressive too! As always, these authors give just enough worldbuilding to make me feel immersed in the fantasy world they built without making it heavy on details and just letting the characters shine for themselves. With the short chapters and compelling characters it’s utterly binge-worthy and a fun read!

Ahhhh!!! What an incredible conclusion to this series! Elle and Robin are incredible at mapping out and executing a series that pulls the reader in with an intriguing plot and relatable characters. This book did an amazing job at showing war-time circumstances where neither side is completely right or wrong and the internal and external struggles that come with that. I loved these complex characters and their arcs and the relationships that were built along the way. There were interesting and unique monsters that I have never seen before and more funny animal companions to love! And there was just the right amount of spicy tension! I love how Elbin toes the line of spice without going over it, though I wouldn't mind if they did!
I do feel like there were a couple of times where the pace felt a little slow to me, but it didn't drag enough to pull me out of the story. It also could have definitely been a case of me wanting to know what was going to happen and how everything was going to conclude. I do think that I got annoyed a couple of times by pacing and by Everly not trying to train with her mana, knowing that she was going to be the answer to everything. Then she just busts it out during the big battle when she has the realization that she needed to come to peace with who and what she is, which I think would have been more profound if we had seen her trying and failing to get her magic to work together more, instead of just sitting in her room. I also got a bit frustrated with Draven's unwillingness to try to get his court to see that the Unseelie weren't all bad and to STOP MURDERING CHILDREN AND FEMALES seeking refuge. So while the coming together scene at the end was good and we did get to see some of his internal turmoil on the matter, it didn't feel fully fulfilling to me because there wasn't any action from him to back it up, not even trying to work through it with Eryx. So while all of these things bugged me, I still loved the writing and the overall story and characterization, and everything else was fantastically done!

I also got a bit frustrated with Draven's unwillingness to try to get his court to see that the Unseelie weren't all bad and to STOP MURDERING CHILDREN AND FEMALES seeking refuge. So while the coming together scene at the end was good and we did get to see some of his internal turmoil on the matter, it didn't feel fully fulfilling to me because there wasn't any action from him to back it up, not even trying to work through it with Eryx. So while all of these things bugged me, I still loved the writing and the overall story and characterization, and everything else was fantastically done!

What a way to end this trilogy! I am OBSESSED!!

The last book in a series always scares me because you literally have to keep up the suspense by simultaneously ending the story for our MCs and Mahle and Madison absolutely nailed it with this trilogy.
"To chosen family. Not the ones you’re given, or the ones you find, but the ones you choose to stand beside when the monsters are at the gates."
This book wrapped up Draven and Everlys story beautifully- somehow still creating that fine balance between blossoming feelings and oh we might be more and this runs deep and simultaneously navigating a life and future together.
"And I could see it so clearly. How he really was the Frostgrave King. The monster that others should fear. And he was mine. All mine. I didn’t want to fight. I didn’t want to spill any more blood. But I would do whatever it took to give him a world where he could be something else for a change."
I really enjoyed how we still had a lot of suspense and backstory too that tied into the whole plot (and characters) so well and also left room for more stories from this world (a girl can hope right?)
Cursed to the Ruined Court kept me on my toes up until the last page and I loved every minute of it!
Such an underrated series that deserves all the recognition.

Cursed to the Ruined Court gives us exactly what all good fantasy should – epic battles, beautiful worldbuilding, memorable characters – and then it pushed us all a little deeper. I love these authors and their unapologetic dedication to making these characters REAL. If there’s one over-used and under-delivered trope, it’s the morally gray hero. Well, these ladies did. not. hesitate. They threw themselves right off the morally gray cliff and SOARED.
Everly and Draven are real, flawed, morally gray humans (ish, because they’re fae, but you know). I adore that neither author flinched at forcing these two characters into tough, ugly decisions, that they had to own when faced with the consequences of their actions. It left me feeling like I could relate to these two. Who hasn’t faced a hard decision that led to consequences that were less than ideal?
Everly and Draven left us all with a little hope because despite their less than ideal choices, they never lost hope. They never accepted defeat. A lesson for all of us. There’s no magical happily ever after here. The only ever after Everly and Draven had was the one they fought for.

I’ve been so ready for book 3 for what feels like forever (I know it’s been mere months) and Mahle and Madison didn’t disappoint! Everly and Draven have some major growth to do and some massive obstacles to overcome, both individually and together.
I forgot how funny Wynnie is and I adore the fact she has no problem putting Draven in his place. Her quick-wit mixed with Soren’s propensity for the perfectly timed comments really added to the story and gave a bit of levity.
At times the odds seemed heavily stacked against Draven and Everly - from her family-line’s creator to her Uncle’s plotting and scheming, frostbeasts and Elderborne seemingly using forethought and planning, the uniting of the Unseelie and the absence of one of our key family members, they didn’t seem to have a chance.
Through love, courage, and a few startling moments of clarity, the king and queen of Winter manage to do the unthinkable.
I also dearly loved the epilogue and getting to See a bit of what is to come.

Cursed to the Ruined Court is the finale to the Frostbound Court trilogy. And what a finale it was. Im sad to see the story ending, I want to know more, especially with Kaelen. Draven did something that I didnt think he could do, even with who Everly is, he made me proud. And Everly grew so much. They both learned so much from each other through me this series. I love seeing growth like this.
Book 3 picks up exactly where book 2 ends. What becomes of Everly when she meets the Dragon? Does Draven become more of "frostarse' or will he start being a bit more lenient? And Soren!! Oh how love his personality and just him in general. Now the authors was killing me slowly with Nevara, I get why but yall didnt have to pull my heartstrings like that.
Now that epilogue! Yes I needed that! I definitely would've loved if it was a bit longer just so the story wouldn't end!

Have you ever read a book that you weren't sure you could take the tension and maybe couldn't read any more, but also just couldn't stand to not know what happens? I had several moments like that while reading this one. I love the series and am so invested in it, but some of the scenes portended something dark or brutal might happen so I wasn't sure about going on. But I had to find out what was happening next, and I'm so glad that I did! This trilogy has been wonderful. The setting and characters are unique (including the animals and the monsters), the tension is literally pulse pounding in sections, and this last book is an epic ending to an amazing story. I'm so glad I found it. If you like original and imaginative, epic fantasy with excellent main and supporting characters, emotional ups and downs, with surprising twists, do yourself a favor and get started on this series. If you've already started, pick up this book, put up a 'Do Not Disturb' sign, and dig in!

I cannot say enough about these amazing authors! Slow-burn? Master level. Banter? Master level. Swoony? Master level. Enemies-to-lovers? Master level. Feisty female characters who don't back down, even in the face of danger? Master level (and not just the FMC... her sister was phenomenal, too!).
Nearly all of the authors' books include the above, and yet the stories and characters always feel fresh and new. They have become an auto-buy for me, no question.
Now, this specific book:
I laughed. I cried. I swooned. This was a fantastic end to the series that I could not put down. I started reading them on KU, but after finishing, I went back and bought them because I'm going to have to reread and savor the next go-round.
Draven and Everly were perfect, but Batty and Wynnie nearly stole the show. And where can I get my very own Lumen? I will probably start including Wynnie's insults in my everyday life because they were so freaking amazing.

What an absolutely wild ride this whole series has been. This is the conclusion to Everly and Draven's story and MAN what a conclusion it is. The war, the betrayal, the twists. The twists in this fantasy are PERFECT. Nothing is worse than getting a twist in the middle of a series that just turns you off the whole thing. This book doesn't have any of that.
Potential spoilers :
Everly gets her self together, stops thinking so much, learns to trust the man that has trusted her for quiet some time. Learns that family isn't always blood and can be what you make it, that blood doesn't always love you, and that they can and will turn on you eventually. Along the way she learns what love is and the many different ways it can show itself.
Draven finally lets his guard down and gets screwed in the process by outside sources and man does it make him mad to be fighting Everly and her whims at every turn. AND he's not wrong - she needed to get herself together like a book and a half ago.
All in all - a great series and would recommend to all my fantasy loving friends.

finished - pushed through for closure
This was a tough one for me to get through. I wanted to DNF more than once, but I was already invested in the characters and felt the need to see how it ended — which is honestly the main reason I finished.
The book is extremely plot-heavy, with a lot of repetition and extended conversations about the same conflicts rather than real forward movement. For a third book, I expected more resolution and momentum, but instead it felt bogged down in explanation and world mechanics. The pacing dragged, especially through the middle, and I found myself skimming just to push through.
That said, the ending does offer enough closure to make finishing worthwhile, and the emotional investment from earlier books carried me through. While it wasn’t a satisfying or memorable conclusion for me, I don’t regret seeing it through.
Overall, this one felt more like obligation than enjoyment, and I’m officially done with the series.

Draven definitely showed up so much in this book. I love how he came along side Everly and helper and eventually had her by his side in all things.
The relationship between Draven and Everly was perfect they brought out the best in each other and seeing each other give strength to those who needed it and themselves was fantastic.
Batty and the wolves were great companions and they had me giggling a few times.
The side characters in the story were really great too! Seeing more of Everly’s sister was just what we needed. She was so sassy. Soren and Nevara were the best. I loved them so so much. Overall this wrapped everything up nicely and if you enjoy marriage of convenience, touch her and 💀, animal companions, warring kingdoms, fae, interesting magic and monsters then I highly recommend this series!

Everly and Dravin had their work cut out for them in this last book. The helplessness and forced determination throughout much of the book, because of the fights on multiple fronts, gave a seriousness to the book that in the previous two, there was more levity woven throughout to break up the intensity of emotions or fight scenes.
And while Nevara spent the majority of the book out of commission, it was nice knowing it wasn't for forever. Also, in having Nevara out of commission, it gave Soren more credence of his loyalty. I honestly, loved seeing more of a serious and honest side of him.
And It was nice seeing Everly and Dravin's relationship growing more solid as well as them learning to truly trust and lean on each other.
Overall, this was a great way to end a serious that had gripped me from the very beginning!

I tried so hard to slow myself down with this one because I wasn’t ready for the series to end. ElBin truly excel at weaving beautiful, immersive storytelling with moments of genuine humor that made me laugh out loud.
If you love fantasy that leans into found family, unforgettable animal sidekicks, simmering angst and tension, and strong, capable female characters who grow into themselves over time, this series is absolutely worth your time.
One of my favorite things is how much of Elle and Robin’s personality seems to shine through in their characters. More than once, I caught myself wishing (again) that I could somehow be friends with several characters.
A truly fresh and satisfying take on enemies-to-lovers, magic, and romantasy. I’m sad to leave this world behind, but so grateful I got to experience it.

This is the last book in the Frostbound Court series.
It starts right where the second book ended so it is a smooth transition back into the story.
The world building intensifies a bit more in this book, providing more detail and introduces characters from the other courts. It was a little sad that a chapter or two doesn’t switch POV to those characters to provide a little more depth.
I enjoyed that the romance is not center through the whole series, more of sweet side note.
This final book as a whole for me could have been longer because the final battle seemed a bit rushed. I loved the characters and the world setting of this series. I would love for the authors to consider writing a spin off POV to bring in the courts and characters.
In all this series is a good read packed with action, backdrop enemies to lovers, and a world filled with magic and monsters.

I feel cheated (spoilers)
I just came up on these two ladies and all of the books that I've read from them have been phenomenal, strong female the main characters and great male leads. Now while I love Draven, I was not really sold on Everly. I was really hoping that once she received her mana She would turn into this bad ass heroin, like the rest of the authors, female characters. unfortunately, that did not happen till the very end. She wasn't too bad, but I found her severely lacking. It took me entirely too long to read this book since I have been waiting for it for months I'm not sure what happened, but I'm still a fan. I will still continue to read books from these ladies. They are still phenomenon in my eyes just didn't really like this book. I wish the ending could've been more. Don't let this review. Stop you from reading it you may like it.

Oh my goodness what an epic conclusion to this trilogy. So many emotions, battles, and well written scenes. Draven can just be 🫠🫠. From start to finish, this book had me in its grasp. Starting where the second left off, this book took us on a gripping journey. War on so many fronts. Frostbeasts new and old. The level of detail on these monsters is so well written that I fear the nightmares I may experience. Everly is faced with so many new changes and surprises and must learn to find the balance. Draven must learn to let go of the past and look to the future. The dual POV at the beginning is so well done with such smooth transitions that it drew me in and set the stage for the rest of the book.
Batty!!! Absolutely love her🦇 and her big personality in such a tiny body. And Lumem is the goodest of boys. I love the relationship between Everly and Draven, as well as her friendships gained. I love Wynnie and Nevara and Soren. Their friendships are some of the brightest light in the darkness they are going through.
