I was loving this book for the first half- loving it. Heidi and Drew were adorably awkward and so cute together! I was thinking throughout the book 'man, if I was friends with these two and saw them together I'd be so jealous' and, despite how I felt about the rest of the book, that still stands... but oh this book frustrated the heck out of me.
The thing that let me down was the fact that they kept their secret for so long. I knew going into this that it was brother's best friend so I knew there'd be some secret-keeping, and it wasn't a problem until instead of coming clean Drew lets Seth believe he had sex with the girl he was seeing. They weren't serious, I don't think, and Seth slept with someone else to get back at them but I just- why?? Also, I was so angry that Seth had such a big say in their relationship- I have some thoughts about Seth but they're not really organised in my head right now so I won't go into that.
Anyway, I might one day re-read this because I think the frustration from that moment at 67% just completely made me blank out from the book but there were more cute moments after that so!

This one is difficult. There are things that I really enjoyed about this book and made me want to rate it five stars, but the numerous editing issues and random things that didn’t make sense made it impossible unfortunately. The main culprit to the low rating is probably the complexity unrealistic way our shy virgin went from never having done anything to basically initiating “pornstar sex” overnight. What virgin asks for a “facial”? The scenes weren’t even a steamy sexy type of read, it was more cringeworthy and gross. Then it was funny in that “it wasn’t actually meant to be funny” way. It definitely wasn’t realistic or organic. The hero was great except for a few things. Like when he would say random douchey things out of the blue. Each time was basically like “where the hell did this come from?” He was also way too obsessed with the brother/frat thing. I get frat life, but come on! It got old so fast. His loyalty to his frat brother over his girlfriend just made him look weak. It lowered the attraction factor for me by far! The next book is about her brother and best friend Jenna. And even though I love best friends brother books, I’m skipping it. I know I’d cringe the whole way through after watching their bed hopping with other people throughout this book. Especially considering it doesn’t even take place until 3 years from now. 3 more years of other people drama? When supposedly she at least had always had a crush on him, none of that sounds appealing to me.

I’ve read two series from Tabatha and really enjoyed them both. I was in the mood for a feel good type story, one that didn’t include a ton of angst or emotional trauma to my heart yet still gave me the warm & fuzzies when I was done. This one looked fun, the blurb and reviews told me this was likely exactly what I was looking for. After reading this, I’ve come to the realization that I truly love this author’s stories. This will go on my top 2020 reads for sure, a real feel-good authentic romance that I couldn’t put down once I started. Amazing hero? ✔️ Adorable & quirky heroine? ✔️ A sweet forbidden/brother’s best friend romance with the perfect amount of steam? ✔️ I’m not usually a fan of the feel good meet cute type yet this one totally pulled me in and was impossible for me to walk away from.

What I liked:
❤️ It’s not very often that I can truly say I LOVED EVERYTHING about both MCs. Drew is not your typical gorgeous frat boy, he is so sweet & swoon-worthy....
“Good night, Heidi,” he says. I smile. I can’t help it. “Good night, Drew.” He shakes his head. “You shouldn’t do that.” “Do what?” “Smile at boys like that,” he says, walking away. “Just makes us weak.”
.....and if you think this is one of those where the popular frat boy makes the heroine jealous or acts like a douche in any way, well rest assured this one isn’t anything like that....
“After the other night, I just couldn’t bring myself to share that part of me with anyone else. Anyone but you.”
And Heidi? She is a virgin good girl, a little awkward & shy. However there is this realness about her and the things she says/does that made her such a breath of fresh air. She could turn something that would’ve made me cringe otherwise.....
“And you, Ms. Marie...” He looks at me, amused. “Fujimoto.” So busted. I nod, my face on fire. “Konnichi wa,” I greet.
.....into something hilarious.
❤️ I had a lot of faves in this story, but something that really made this story what it is would have to be how real Drew & Heidi’s relationship felt. I felt like I was witnessing these two in real time, seeing all their “fumbles”.....
I deflate. “I’m a virgin, too.” Drew nods. “Yeah, I sort of figured as much when you dug your nails into my scrotum.”
.....being able to laugh with them while finding it so authentic. I was able to believe in their connection because she took her time really developing it....and when it came to some of their firsts....
“So, I’d literally sit on you?” “Yes, ma’am.” “And you’d…” “Eat that pussy.” “But what if I smother you?” I shrug. “If I die, I die.” She snorts. “Really?” “I honestly can’t think of a better way to go.”
....she had a way of balancing the awkwardness that comes with those situations without losing the steam at all.
❤️ Honestly, my fave character in the book was Jenna, and that’s saying something considering just how much I adored the MCs. EVERYONE needs a Jenna in their life, she’s the kind of bestie that take ride or die to the extreme.....
.....being there to boost up her bestie and celebrate “victories”, or make their “mess ups” easier to deal with....
“I kinda... sneezed on his face.” “Yeah, you did,” she says, biting her devious lip. “No, seriously. That wasn’t some dirty metaphor. I literally sneezed... on his face.” She pauses, slowly deflating. “Oh.”
.....a majority of my highlights were from her. And speaking of besties, Seth might not have been the best guy all the time but there is no denying he’s the ultimate one to Drew. Their constant banter......
“You guys spend a lot of time together, huh?” “Well, Heidi,” Seth begins, “when two men love each other very, very much—” “Stop,” Drew says. I bite my lip, smothering my laugh. “It all makes sense now.” “Love unrequited,” Seth says, faking tears. “Cuts like a knife...”
.....it’s hilarious but again, like much of this story felt authentic.
❤️ Some romance books say “comedy” and aren’t all that funny....this is no such book. There were SO MANY moments I was truly laughing like a lunatic, having to explain myself to whatever family member was around me at the time. Even in scenes that I didn’t expect to laugh.....
“That’s right!” Seth says from his lawn chair. “It’s called having honor and integrity.” “He’s right.” He points at Drew. “Shut up, Drew. Flowers don’t talk.”
.....resulted in some of the funniest for me. My highlights are like 90% funny quotes, that should tell you something.
❤️ So many college books don’t depict the campus as anywhere I would want to be. It’s too serious, too miserable, too “cruel”. I loved that this one wasn’t like that at all. It was fun, exactly what college should be. I mean even the one place you would expect to be full of complete grade A a-holes was a place I wouldn’t mind hanging out. Come on, a frat house that believes in settling problems like this....
“Now...” he says, his eyes volleying between me and Seth, “we’re going to pong this out. Like men.” He tosses each of us a ping-pong ball. “Now, throw.“
....instead of with fists....who wouldn’t want to party/live there?

On His Face Is an absolute must read for everyone and a book that easily made its way on my top 2020 reads which has been no simple feat lately. It’s hilarious, sweet, authentic, and deliciously steamy.....I dare you to try and read this book and not fall for these characters. And when you figure out the couple up next? Well let’s just say its the cherry on top of the already loaded sundae.

The Tabiverse NEVER disappoints! From meet cute to HEA I FLOVED IT!!
Heidi, with the encouragement of her best friend Jenna, is going to have a phenomenal college experience. 5 goals and she finds herself well on the way to "Fall in love with a stranger" when she finds herself needing assistance with her car after her art class.
Where the stranger was the model. And they both are instantly smitten.
The stranger? Drew, who we learn is not only familar to the Tabiverse because he's Melanie Rose's baby bro, but it turms out he is roomies and best friend to Heidi's big brother.
Drew may have just jumped the line to the very top of the hot, charming book boyfriend line. And there are many in the Tabiverse.
He's absolutely dreamy!
He and Heidi may find themselves sneaking around behind her brother's back, but they simply can't resist their pull towards each other.
Seth, big bro, has some making up to do towards his sis. Including her in his world is a step. You can imagine he is the drama. After all, he makes Heidi verbotten to all his frat bros...which includes Seth who just met and was blown away by Heidi.
Jenna and Seth add their quirks to the story as well.
I love this story!! This isn't some clueless virgin baby sister story. Yeah, she's a virgin but she's not clueless. She needs a push now and then...but she has her own mind.
I'm all warm and happy after finishing this. I can't wait for the next.

I read this a while ago but took my time reviewing it, why well I am still not sure how i feel about it. I have read a good amount of brothers best friend situations, and even though this is not my favorite genre I have enjoyed some books on it, I never got the understanding of why can't they tell there best friends, but it must happen enough that it has sooooo man writers doing this. Anywho I started and I was like oh good this is good and then it wasn't. I didn't understand some of the ridiculous situations, like why would you say you slept with your friends girl instead of admitting that you were with his sister and she was your girlfriend, in what world would that be better? yeah truly dont get it. And the lying people people just own up to it. I have nothing good to say about the brother so i wont be reading anymore of this series.

Wow!
"What's the worst that could happen?" Famous last words. Haha! This book was a blast to read and I fell in love with these people! Drew was absolutely positively the most epicly beautiful man I have ever read about. Such a sweetheart he was! You cannot help but to swoon over him! And as for Heidi she was a shy girl who I really enjoyed watching her bloom into an amazing woman! She was so awkward you could not help but crack up at some of the situations she got herself in. All in all I loved this book so much. One if the best I have ever read!

I enjoyed this book and couldn’t put it down. It was just fun for me. The main characters had great chemistry. I rate based on my enjoyment and this was a fun ride.

I was immediately hooked on this story and could not stop reading. Heidi is a shy freshman in college living with her best friend Jenna who is totally NOT shy and does everything she can to get Heidi out of her shell. Drew is a gorgeous college junior modeling in the girls art class. Heidi and Drew's meet cute is completely adorable and hilarious. Their connection unmistakable but then things get complicated when it's discovered that she is his best friend's little sister. Neither can resist the pull and the attraction. Their story is full of drama, loads of steam, romance, love, tears and a beautiful HEA. Now I am super anxious for the next book!!!

Ok so first Tabatha Kiss that title though!?... Well done...Major kudos...
With a title like that, I didn’t even need to read the blurb to know I’d be interested in knowing the story behind it.
And what a story it was. When you get to the part of where the title comes to play...it’s just too perfect for words.
On His Face is the story of a character we actually met before which I totally didn’t realize until almost halfway but it was such a pleasant surprise!
I loved Heidi and Drew. Their story was so humorous and delightful. I for sure laughed out loud at some of the side character’s antics and Heidi’s innocence was adorably cute. It was also steamy. These two proved you don’t have to have sex to bring the heat. Heidi and Drew’s story was just an overall seriously enjoyable read and of course that little breadcrumb at the end leaves you wanting more.

And what a story it was. When you get to the part of where the title comes to play...it’s just too perfect for words.
On His Face is the story of a character we actually met before which I totally didn’t realize until almost halfway but it was such a pleasant surprise!
I loved Heidi and Drew. Their story was so humorous and delightful. I for sure laughed out loud at some of the side character’s antics and Heidi’s innocence was adorably cute. It was also steamy. These two proved you don’t have to have sex to bring the heat. Heidi and Drew’s story was just an overall seriously enjoyable read and of course that little breadcrumb at the end leaves you wanting more.

I think the hero needs to grovel more. Prior to that, I was thinking of giving this book a 4 star but man... he got away with things too easily there.

I didn't think that this story would be so good. Heidi and Drew were so cute together. I really liked it because I laughed a lot, but keeping the secret for so long was a shitty thing and was kind of stupid.

Yes!!!! A thousand times YES!!!!
I am head over heels in love with Drew Rose y’all!!! He is not like anyone I’ve ever read before. He’s a great hero!!! He’s not without his flaws, because perfect is boring. But he’s pretty damn near perfect. I love that even though he comes from money, he’s still the most grounded and humble guy around. I love that even though he’s a frat boy from the best frat house, yet isn’t a big player or douche. I love that even though he’s incredibly hot and fit he isn’t showing off. He’s just so dang swoony.
Annnd Ms. Heidi Newbury is quite possibly one of my all time favorite heroines, allergies and all. She’s used to being more of the background character in her own life and let her best friend Jenna and older brother Seth take center stage. But Drew took one look at her and well the rest is history. The banter in this story is off the hook funny. I love the bromance between Seth and Drew. I love how fiercely protective Jenna is with Heidi, even though she overstepped her boundaries big time in a major snafu. I love that even though Heidi is more on the quieter and mellow side, she still knows how to speak up for herself and be true to herself first and foremost, even if it might break her heart.
There’s a lot of funny lol moments, tons of chemistry and smokin hot love scenes and also so much sweet and tender moments of two young people falling in love. Because even though Drew may be more experienced than Heidi, what he encounters with her is a first for him. And they still share a lot of firsts together. It’s sweet, it’s funny and I can’t wait for Jenna and Seth’s story next. The whole time while reading this I was like those two are gonna hate bang each other so hard. There’s definitely something there.
Also I still really want there to be a Criminal Records series and now I really want there to be a Delta Xi spin-off too!!! Please, pretty please 🙏🥺. If you’re in a book funk, read this. You can thank me later 😉.

Y'know, when I started this, I kinda hated it.
Clumsy, pretty without knowing it, artsy manic pixie dream girl type heroine just happens to catch the eye of a beyond beautiful boy who can see past her every flaw, because they're not flaws to him!

But then the heroine... she... she sneezed on his face.
And I think that's when I got dosed with a hard case of the insta-loves.
Because I loved this.
I resented having to put it down to do "life" things.
I caught myself thinking about it without realising.
Pondering what was going to happen next. How Tabatha Kiss was going to fuck my couple over and set it to rights again.

Better than I expected

This is a spin-off from Chicago Nights series and features Drew, Melanie’s little brother. The characters are mentioned, but there are no cameos. You don’t need to read the Chicago Nights series, but I do recommend it.
This was a cute secret romance with my older brother’s best friend book.
I adored Heidi and Drew right from the beginning and I especially loved them after the sneeze incident. I was not a huge fan of keeping their relationship a secret for so long, it just felt a like a ticking time bomb. The major reason for this craziness was Heidi’s brother, Seth, and that fact that Drew was his best friend; Seth and Heidi do not have a good relationship because of their parents’ and their divorce. Quite honestly, I still don’t like Seth, he acted like such a big baby and worried only about what he wanted; he wouldn’t have even tried to reconcile with his sister if it wasn’t for Drew.
Heidi and her bestie Jenna also had a great relationship and I think it mostly has to do with the fact that they are complete opposites. Heidi is the quiet artist and Jenna is wild med student, they should have nothing in common, but they have been friends since they were kids. Now that being said, I did have my issues with Jenna and her antics, for a moment I was quite sure I would not like her. Her constantly forcing ideas on Heidi was annoying, but her last idea of “helping” Heidi did end up being very bad for everyone. However, Jenna showed how genuine she was and how she truly loved her best friend.
I look forward to reading On His Knees which features Seth and Jenna who quite honestly hate each other. Which is funny to me, I get why Jenna hates Seth, but I’m not sure why Seth returns the sentiment.
Also, you will definitely learn why the book is titled On His Face ;)
Okay side note: although it’s cute in a book, DO NOT get in a strange man’s car alone especially when it’s dark, rainy and no one is around please

Plot: Heidi would like to expand her horizons now that she's in college but she's not sure if she's ready. But when she meets Drew, the life model from her art class, he might be the person who can pull her out of her shell. Or he would be, if he wasn't also her brother's best friend. Maybe they can be with each other in secret, but letting everyone around them know what's going on might lead straight to disaster.
Commentary: I'm not a fan of new adult. I read them sometimes, but I really try not to if that's the predminant trope - and this one straddled that (along with the "secret relationship because you're my brother's best friend" thing). I don't know if you remember, but I do - in that new adult age, everything is life and death. Everything is so important. Everything matters more than the universe. So much angst. So much overwhelming anxiety. I'm really not looking to go back to that feeling! That's generally why I avoid new adult. It's a little bit of second-hand embarrassment in just about every situation. But in this case, it was that plus one of my least favorite things about college - frat boys. I know that there are people who are devoted in this life and beyond to their Greek organizations. I know there are people who would do anything for their frat bros/sorority sisters. Good for them. I find very few positives about that scene (I know, the networking! the bonding! Also the elitism! the hazing!) and so reading about it wasn't really my cup of tea. That's a me thing - I'm sure plenty of people like the chance to relive something that was important to them. Then this book was for those people, not me.
And can we also talk about Heidi's brother? He was never held accountable for the way he acted, then or now. He was a bully, and I don't care if it was at the behest of his father (which should have been addressed also) or not. He is exactly the kind of person I imagine when I hear "frat bro" - he fit the stereotype 100% and never broke out of that the entire time. He was gross and should have been called out in a more serious way. He barely tried to make up for years of bullying and should have explained himself. Maybe he will in his book with the best friend.
But just for example:
Why is she living in a bad part of town? Her dad refused to help her with college even though he completely bankrolled her brother. And her brother's response is not "hey, why isn't dad helping you" it's "hey you live in a bad place, haha." He's surprised because he has absolutely nothing to do with her and her life after bullying her throughout high school.

Reading this was really fun and sweet, but at some point I found myself being slightly annoyed with the way the characters were. Especially one: the FC’s best friend. I hated how she “convinced” Heidi into partying and wanted her to lose her virginity with anyone. The fact that she did something that Heidi was not aware of and not okay with the whole thing happening tells me that I’d find her a bad friend. Her reasoning for her “mistake” is so shitty for me, I think if she’d use more brain and actually see what was happening between Heidi and Drew she’d KNEW how to act and what not to do.
Now positive things. I loved Heidi and Drew. She was such a shy sweetheart and it was so adorable to see her blush and just frustrated in a good way with Drew. And HE was so opened up to her. I loved how their first meeting end, I’d never expect it to turn that ways. But it was fun and at the same time adorable because he still came back!! He was so open with Heidi. I really liked how both of them didn’t try to find their feelings, maybe at first, but it’s nothing compared to other books that I’ve read. He didn’t pursue her to do anything sexual with him, and always made sure she feels safe and good. His little surprises to Heidi were amazing. I was swooning so hard over this man.

Heidi is a freshman at college and taking an art class with a friend when she meets Drew. Drew is the model for the class and a junior at the same college. Sparks fly between them whenever they are in a room together. When Heidi's car won't start Drew gives her a ride home. Things heat up and just before they kiss and ends up sneezing on him. Embarrassed she stammers and he ends up leaving. The next day she goes to her car to find him waiting to help her out again. Things progress between them and it seems like its going to be a good thing. Then when Heidi's friend drags her to a frat party she runs into her estranged brother that happens to be best friends with Drew. Will this ends things between them before it can start? Can Drew see that Heidi is perfect for him?
This is a great story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Drew and Heidi were the sweetest, cutest, will-make-you-jealous-if-you-see-them couple. They were adorable and I absolutely loved their relationship. However, I felt like they hid their relationship a touch too long, and put too much stock into Seth's opinion. Drew, I could understand. They had been best friends for a while and planned to be business partners later down the road. Heidi, on the other hand, has awful memories about her brother - whom she hasn't talked to in a long time - and while they are just now reconnecting, she shouldn't care too badly about what he thinks.
It got even messier when Drew allowed Seth to think he'd been with Seth's (sort of) girlfriend instead of coming clean.
While on the whole, the book was generally fun and easy to read, there were several occasions it didn't feel like I was reading things real college people would say. Nothing bad, but... weird, and a little awkward, too.
Read as part of the Talk Swoony To Me collection, and it has definitely started strong.

Loved loved loved this book. It's one of my favorite tropes. Brother's best friend's sister. It had me hooked from the first page. It's laugh out loud funny. This is Heidi and Drew's story. Drew is Melanie's younger brother (from Pretty Ever After). But you don't need to read that book or series to jump right into this story. Heidi is 18 and at college with her bestie Jenna. Heidi had a bad experience that left her skittish and Jenna is always pushing her to step out of her comfort zone. During an art class, the live model is Drew, and that sparks the attraction between him and Heidi.
I absolutely, totally, and completely loved Drew. Completely. Heidi was shy, yet it often took minimal effort from either her bestie or her older brother (Seth) to sway her behavior. The playful dialog was awesome and naturally flowed just as I've come to expect that from this author. There's a little family drama here but ultimately, this story is about the strength of love and friendshi

4 stars for On His Face by Tabatha Kiss. I love Heidi and Drew. OK back to the review. This is a brother’s best friend romance. Heidi is an artist and Drew just happens to be the new model in her class. Heidi has a list of things she wants to accomplish, and Drew is intrigued by this. Drew has this attraction to Heidi that he can’t deny. He helps her with things on her list. All is okay and they seem to hit it off until they find out that Drew is Heidi’s brother’s best friend. Seth and Heidi were not close. They did not grow up together. Drew and Heidi hide their relationship for too long in my opinion. Drew and Heidi care for each other but they let Seth weigh in too much on their relationship. I did not like this part very much , but it all played out ok. “After the other night, I just couldn’t bring myself to share that part of me with anyone else. Anyone but you.” Heidi and Drew are the couple people are jealous of. I enjoyed this story and how Tabatha wrote it.

Tabatha Kiss takes you on a very different kind of ride with this new story. Drew and Heidi are a fantastic couple, and like most couples, get off to a very interesting start. Drew is a fellow college student who does some modeling for an art class that Heidi and her bff Jenna are taking. Like most college students, Heidi has a car that is not the most dependable and leaves her in quite a predicament when Drew jumps her car and takes her home. Once there, he sees some of her artwork and her"Five Goals for a Perfect Freshman Year" board. I don't want to give too much more away because you really need to read this for yourself. Does Heidi fulfill some or all of her goals? I couldn't get enough of this story and could not put it down. And don't forget about the extended epilogue!!!!! Come on, get this great story TODAY!!!!

I was so excited to find out Drew (who made an appearance in a previous Tabatha Kiss book) was getting his own book! I loved this sweet little read between Drew and Heidi. It was full of humour, romance, big brother and best friend attitudes as well as some very hot scenes. I loved the interactions between all these characters and the different personalities they all had.
I loved that the story started right with Drew and Heidi meeting for the first time. I really enjoyed the fact that they didn’t know who the other was and when it all came out, I loved how they let nothing come between them (well… you know what I mean) to be together.
Now I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book with the new couple!

This was a really good read! The writing flowed well from start to finish, and I loved Drew and Heidi together! They had great chemistry, and I loved their first meeting :) Even though these are college age kids, they didn't come across super immature and annoying (thank you Tabatha lol) I liked that Heidi was able to work on her relationship with her brother as well. I did get a little annoyed at Drew, but I could see where he was coming from too. It was a difficult situation to be in. I loved the little threads that linked this one to the Chicago Nights series. Not so much that it confused someone who hasn't read them, but little Easter eggs for people that have. The ending was great, and I can't wait to read more of the Delta Xi brothers!

Okay so the title of this book was the first thing that made me laugh. I mean how can you not when you read it. Then when I read the book description I was looking forward to what I thought would be a fun, flirty and entertaining story of first love. Well some of what I had anticipated was contained in this story. But there were other things that I had a harder time connecting with. Overall the story of Heidi and Drew was okay and pleasant but not completely satisfying.

Absolutely loved it!
I absolutely loved this story!! It was a fantastic read and truly drew me in from beginning to end. I loved getting to see these two characters together and building their relationship. They were hilarious and awesome! I'm not mad, I'm disappointed.
The ending was such a disappointment. I was so proud of Heidi for standing up for herself and breaking up with Drew instead of waiting for him to make up his mind, but then the very next time she saw him she was the one to apologize! NO GIRL HAVE SOME SELF RESPECT. There was no grovel and Drew had a LOT to be sorry for. He was a douchebag of the highest order, he'd rather let his friend think he was fucking the girl the friend was interested in, in order to keep his girlfriend his dirty little secret? No.
Okay at the start of this review I'd given this book a 2 star rating, but in the writing of this I've convinced myself it deserves 1 star.
The ending was such a disappointment. I was so proud of Heidi for standing up for herself and breaking up with Drew instead of waiting for him to make up his mind, but then the very next time she saw him she was the one to apologize! NO GIRL HAVE SOME SELF RESPECT. There was no grovel and Drew had a LOT to be sorry for. He was a douchebag of the highest order, he'd rather let his friend think he was fucking the girl the friend was interested in, in order to keep his girlfriend his dirty little secret? No.
Okay at the start of this review I'd given this book a 2 star rating, but in the writing of this I've convinced myself it deserves 1 star.
