Path to Prosperity #1

Path to Prosperity: A LitRPG Adventure

Rate this book
An action-packed LitRPG Adventure with a unique System from the bestselling author of Apocalypse Healer!

Everything he touches grows stronger.

Percy is a poor child with nothing to his name. He has no power, no family–only an old mentor in his wooden hut outside town. Even that is taken away from him when the old man dies.

But everything changes when he gains access to mana and manifests what is known as an Ego.

His Ego doesn’t grant him strength like others would. It's rare, allowing him to consume what he owns and to reforge the ordinary into the extraordinary.

A wooden shovel can transform into a weapon of legend. A tattered coat could become impenetrable. Even dormant powers can be transformed into forces of awe.

He consumes what’s his by right, clawing his way from poverty to power. But the higher he climbs, the darker the world becomes. Powerful Adventurers vanish without a trace, and Percy is pulled straight into the heart of the mystery.

Thrust into a sea of evil powers, a prophecy, and the Seven Hells, he has to rise—or be swallowed whole.

From the bestselling author of Apocalypse Healer comes this action-packed new LitRPG Adventure with a unique system based on transformation and evolution of items and powers.

Good til the last drop

I can be honest I’ve read this series already from beginning to end. I started reading it when it was online before it was published and it is amazing. It starts out with an MC that’s lovable a world that is built handcrafted by the author, and you are told a story from beginning to end. Perhaps that’s the best thing of all this story actually has an ending three books. That’s it and in those three books you’re going to go on a journey a journey from nothing to something. You’ll love the main character characters and you’re going to love this series. I speak as someone who reads this genre all the time and you look for the golden Nuggets the little hidden gyms. Well this gym deserves a little bit of polish and a little bit of promotion. Read it and promote it I’m telling you it’s worth

good story but not a bright MC, didn’t care for this book.

First of all, this is only my opinion. Did not particularly care for the book because of the way the main character was written, it seems like the author wrote him as a dollar, not too bright, slow on the uptake. he can think rationally and calmly in his head, but dealing with people on a day today basis seems like a complete impossibility for him. I understand his upbringing, but I know other people who lived in woods and then rural areas who have a lot more common sense in real life. You would figure that the old man that raised him would’ve taught him how to act around people, especially Nobles. My other dislike for this story is the way the character has to spend money to upgrade his abilities. The way this book is written he’ll always be poor and always be broke. I just kept SMH because of the way the character interacted with other people. I really wanted to like this book, but I am not sure I can read the next one unless the characters personality is somewhat rewritten and it becomes a lot more wiser and street smart. He did that working with the merchant so I know he can do it in other areas. i’m not saying I will not give the next book a try but don’t let me stop you from reading this one. I would love to read your reviews in the review section.

A unique blend of systems: mana, ego, and monster cards. Path to Prosperity showcases a rich world filled with fresh new ideas that are shown through the eyes of Percy.

Percy was raised by an old hermit in the woods, sequestered from the rest of the world. All signs indicate that in a future book our fated hero will be outed as a lost noble, but for now he's a bumbling commoner with not a penny to his name.

Now that old Greg is dead and Percy's awakened, only to find that he has an ego that devours things and converts them into power for him Percy is wandering lost in a world he doesn't really understand.

For that reason the first book does not have much of a driving plot. It's very much of a Percy learns about himself and completes the next quests type deal. But the world building is great.

About 70% into the book a new set of characters are introduced that help shake things up a bit. The story ends right as things get really good.

Brilliant.

An inexperienced MC with a completely novel set of burgeoning powers. Tries and succeeds (mostly) to navigate a world he was ill prepared for. Read it, you won’t be disappointed.

I really appreciated the originality in the magic system. The MC has a cool origin story coming from his isolated home in the woods and moving to civilization. It felt like this was a webnovel at one point. The pro if that is true is that there will be a lot more to come.

Like watching grass grow

You would think it might be difficult to make a story like this so boring, but somehow the author pulled it off. The only tension is in my neck from repeatedly nodding off.

I really want to know who this guy really is. He lived in the woods and was trained by some guy, but he knows nothing about his past. I loved the power to upgrade his stuff and how he learns to use his gift, but not everything goes his way.
