Watching your best friend run away after kissing him? Mortifying. Finding a dead body on campus with him days later? Even worse. That was the last time Mabel saw Danny, which didn't really set the stage for an epic love story. With her job at a dream horror studio, romance is the last thing on Mabel's mind... Until an anonymous Valentine's Day card arrives. Someone knows what really happened at Westbrook College, and they're ready to kill again. Mabel has no choice but to return if she wants to protect the people she loves, including Danny; now a promising, hot law student. It's been a year since they talked, and their chemistry is as thick as their distance. But when trapped together and facing a killer in a Cupid mask, Mabel must stop running. As the heat of attraction with Danny cranks up, and the body count rises, Mabel can't forget one of the biggest rules in a slasher; it's always the boyfriend. Oh, and don't have sex.
Thalia is a new author born and raised in Puerto Rico, the same place where she lives, and constantly complains about the heat. She started writing at a very young age and soon discovered that craziness was what she wanted to do in life.
When she's not writing you can find her procrastinating on Instagram, pinning things on Pinterest, and laughing at memes. She has an endless love for dogs (and animals in general).
THIS WAS AMAZING. Perfect for fans of Scream, it reeally brought on all the vibes!! One year ago on Westbrook College campus, Brian Manders was murdered and hung from a statue, very similar to how Casey Beckers body was found in the beginning of Scream. Our FMC Mabel's bestfriend Cerys had recentlt came forward with sexual assult charges against him, and people are fast to point the finger at her. Fast forward a year later Mabel, has moved to LA to work at a movie studio writing slasher movies, she recieves a threatening letter with a photo of her sister Carmen, and immediately heads back to Westbrook, where her sister is. But Mabel isn't the only one with a letter, Danny, Mabels bestfriend before The Incident happened, Cerys, Carmen, and some of the other sorority sisters. Kappa, Mabels old sorority is hosting a Smash or Pass event for valentines day, where she and Danny realize that no matter how hard they tried to move on they still have feelings for each other. But as we know in every slasher, things will reach there climax. Text messages sent around.the group of sorority sisters and frat brothers and lead them into one of the houses, and that is when the killer strikes. Trapped in a house with the killer, no body is safe. And there can only be one final girl, or can there? The whole entire book I was so confident I knew who the killer was, and then the plot twists after plot twists were insane!! Definitely pick up this book if you are a fan of Scream and slashers!!

This was a brand-new author for me, and I tore through this book like I was running from Ghostface himself. The blend of Scream-style suspense with Valentine’s Day humor was chefs kiss, and the quick pace kept me hooked from start to finish.
The sister dynamic between Mabel and Carmen was a true highlight. It felt so real and reminded me of my own relationship with my sister, which made their moments even more heartfelt.
And Danny? He brought pure golden-retriever charm with a filthy mouth, and I loved every second of it.
This was a bloody good time, literally. As a huge fan of horror romance, it’s no surprise I devoured this. It’s a fast paced slasher romcom that doesn’t hold back on the carnage and even sneaks in some spice. Brutal, fun, and wildly entertaining from start to finish.
