Long ago, before men came to the shores of Ireland, there lived a race of gods who fought a great evil to keep their island from sinking into the sea. Knowing men were destined to rule the land they loved, the gods created four great treasures to guard their beloved isle should the great evil rise to destroy it once more. Thousands of years would come to pass before the treasures were needed, before man would have to fight, to save Ireland from destruction.

Maggie MacGreen thought she'd known what fate had in store for her. But when a shipwreck leaves a handsome stranger near death on the cliffs by her home, she realizes that she'd been wrong about life and love.

When Breandán MacKeet's memories return after he is found near-dead on an Irish beach, he begins to wish they'd never come back at all. Everything about his past only brings danger to those around him, especially to the red-haired beauty that saved his life.

Breandán must overcome the past that he thought defined him, while Maggie tries to accept the future that she never saw coming. Only together, can they see who they truly are, and stand a chance against the threat they face.

With a mix of magic, suspense, and plenty of romance, Irish Sight will take you on a journey that turns myth into reality and proves that the magic of accepting yourself is the only power you need to face the future.

In late 2021, I unexpectedly lost my husband.

My high school sweetheart, my partner for 18 years, father to my three children, confidant, and best friend, was gone so suddenly, I couldn’t grasp the new reality I was forced into.

But my children needed me, and though grief sometimes threatened to drown me, I pulled away from the choking darkness of loss, to be strong for them.

I thought maybe I wouldn’t be able to write again: After all, I had lost MY happily-ever-after, how could I create one for my characters?

But I have come to realize that just because the love story I had with my husband ended, in a way I never anticipated, didn’t mean it wasn’t real, true, and full of love. It didn’t mean I couldn’t still believe in it, hope for it, write about it, find it again.

On the contrary, it meant I knew what it took to find it, to create it, to keep it, to nurture it, to survive losing it. And it has made me a stronger woman because of it.

I have always believed that everyone deserves a happily-ever-after, and that some love stories are born in the dark.

Now, I can say, that some love stories rise from the ashes of another story, and though it may be different, it is still love, it is still deserved, and it still breathtakingly wonderful.

I urge you all, no matter where you are in your journey of life and love, to never stop believing in that happily-ever-after, whatever that story means for you.

The Power of Foresight

Firstly I have to say how much I loved the author’s dedication which read as “This story is to remind everyone that even though it may not come when, or how you would like, there is such a thing as a happily-ever-after; never stop believing in it.”

Book three of the Irish Treasures Series, Irish Sight, brings the MacGreen family seer, Maggie MacGreen, Quinn’s sister into the forefront. But before the story takes off, we are taken back to 1982 to twins Deirdre and Delia and how one act of terror tears the sisters apart. We are then taken 27 seven years later where we meet Delia and her husband Colin MacKenzie’s (a fisherman) son, Breandan. After Delia is payed a visit by an ancient goddess who foretells Breandan’s future, Delia decides to share Breandan’s origins and parentage with him.

What follows is Maggie and Breandan MacKeet’s beautiful journey filled with joyous moments of love and tumultuous moments of self-doubt. As keepers of Nauda’s sword, they work together to take another shot and battle the Fomoiri.

“You are whatever you choose to be. Nothing and no one can make you be anything different.”

“That’s life, isn’t it…The never knowing what may come, not for certain.”

Irish Sight concludes with a satisfying climax, also simultaneously setting up the stage for the last book of the Irish Treasures Series, Irish Truth.

I received the book for free through Goodreads First Reads. I have not had the opportunity to read the first 2 novels of this series however, I did not feel I missed the plot of the series. The author did a wonderful job of sharing the back story line without taking away from the plot and protagonists of Irish Sight.

There is a historical component to the series and I loved that she included a glossary for the unfamiliar Celtic words. I am impressed with the attention to detail to keep the historical legend in it's true nature while incorporating the fictional characters.

I loved the mystery, strong female characters and energy in the story. Though I am not partial to romance texts this story had way more to offer than romance. But if you are partial to the romance this book has a lovely true love, fate tale to tell.

This is the third book in the Irish Treasures Saga.

Maggie MacGreen finds a young man washed up on shore from a shipwreck she saw in her mind. She is drawn to him and he to her. The only problem is that he can't remember anything.

When his memories return, Breandan realizes what he is and tries to sever the relationship that he has started with Maggie. But she accepts that he is part Fomorii. Will they be able to fight the dark magic that haunts Breandan and thw sword he is to protect.

I love this series and recommend it to everyone that love Irish tales and romance. Can't wait for the last book to come out.

Excellent continuation of the story. Foreshadowing and upcoming scene predictability are maybe too strong but I also like getting right to the fight scenes and not having tons of fluff. Excited to see where the new characters take us in the final book.
