I've been teaching with OUTCOMES for about two years now and it literally turned my teaching around. Known in the ELT community across the globe as an immensely successful mouthpiece of Lexical Approach, the course makes a perfect classroom tool. My most favourite feature about the course is vocabulary builder files, it'd make sense, though, to include more activities based on them. Another thing I wish National Geographic would change is the Conversational Practice Videos in each unit. I mean, the activities around them are perfectly fine, but the videos themselves are somewhat cringeworthy production-wise. Here's hoping proper consideration will be given to this in the 3rd edition. Other than that, I find the course invaluable: awesome pictures that truly provoke authentic discussion, fascinating texts, listening based around dialogues packed with authentic chunks, choice of lexis - all of these lend themselves to taking Lexical Approach to a whole new level. What gives me the greatest thrill, though, is the fact that target vocabualry is recycled from unit to unit, which is bound to make learning way more successful. In a nutshell, Outcomes might well be the best coursebook I've ever used in my teaching.
