Tina knows that her six year relationship with her fiancé Logan is starting to fall apart. Her hope is that moving into a beautiful renovated house in a small Pennsylvania town will help revive their romance. However, since relocating from New York City to the Poconos, strange things have started happening to her. The basement door keeps opening whenever she enters the kitchen, she feels like someone is watching her all the time, and the handsome stranger who sold her the property won't tell her about his brother who lived in the house before her.
Then there are the dreams that wake her in the middle of the night drenched in fear and desire. As she begins to uncover the reasons why she is being haunted by the previous owner, she can't help but think that her present is tied to a tragic past. What if the only thing she can do to save her home, and herself, is submit to a ghost and a man who isn't her fiancé?

It’s so good yall!!! 10/10 no notes. This was exactly what I wanted this spooky season. Intrigue and ghostly spice. MMF is not usually my thing (poly yes, rh meh) but this one was such an original and unique take with one brother being real and the other a ghost. I had the best time!!!! Thank you Nina for this delightful haunting !!!
I wasn’t reading for the plot, but this was a surprisingly compelling story! And by compelling, I probably just mean hot, because ghost erotica is the ultimate dubcon/noncon kink. 😳😳😳🥵😮💨
Points deducted because the mystery was too obvious though, and that distracted me from the “compelling story”. 😏
SO DAMN GOOD. this horror romance is EVERYTHING the genre should be, IMO. Huge thank you to Nina Saxena for giving me an early copy of this. I’m going to tell everyone to put this on their spooky season tbr!
This book was unhinged. Loved it. There is some trigger/content warnings you should read. A woman buys a house in PA and her husband is like following along but he’s just the worst. The house is haunted. Shenanigans ensue.
There is a ghost and then there is twin brother. 👀 The spice is ultra hot and our FMC is just there for the ride.
I am loving Nina Saxena! If you enjoyed the If Shakespeare Was an Auntie series, but wished it were spicier, check her out!!! There are quite a few trigger warnings you need be aware of before you read this. But they are all listed so I could consent before I started it.
This is a story about a woman who is with the wrong man, and how the universe conspires for her to kick him to the curb and find the right one. Does she do this by cheating….yes. Did I root for the infidelity? 100%!!!!!!
Tina and Logan have been together for years. They started as a convenient hookup that somehow morphed into an engagement. Nothing was wrong enough to stop the relationship till now, but it definitely wasn't right. While visiting Logan parents, Tina saw a house for sale and was compelled to buy it. Logan wasn't keen on the idea, but agreed to move with her for 6 months as a "sh*t or get off the pot" ultimatum for their relationship. Note: Tina bought the house herself. It's completely hers.
Too bad it's haunted. Yup. Haunted!!!!! There's a ghost terrorizing Logan and seducing Tina. It's super dub-con. The ghost doesn't take no for an answer. We learn who he is. Who he's related to in this small town. And exposes hidden secrets of Logan's that give Tina the info she needs to make concrete decisions about her future.
This is spicy, taboo, and a blast to read. There's some violence. Crazy spice. You do have to suspend your disbelief if you don't think ghosts are real. But for someone who inhales vampire romance, this was right in my wheelhouse.
This is Hormance (yes, I’m trying to make Hormance happen) at its finest. Very spooky, very sexy, and very intense, Nina Saxena packs the meanest punch with this novella. From beginning to the very end, the twists and thrills do not let up and I was kept enraptured by the tangled web of Tina, Derrick, Damien, and Logan’s story. While the mystery was not particularly mysterious (it was pretty blatant, actually), other aspects of the story lent itself to make the atmosphere heavy and ominous which made the experience all the more beguiling.
The themes of NOW YOU SEE HIM ticked off so many of my favorite boxes and had just the right amount of spice for me. The touch of taboo in it made it all the more exciting but the kinks explored definitely will not be for everyone (definitely check out the content warnings first). It’s been a while since I have read a novella that perfectly balances spice and plot while also successfully pacing the story leading to a satisfying (and in this case, shocking) conclusion. I really had fun with this one and while I would love to read more of these characters, I would not do anything to change that ending and instead, I will sate myself by diving into Nina Saxena’s other titles.
I don't even know how this book got on my radar, but it was fun. If you've ever wondered how s*x scenes would look between a person and a ghost, the look no further.
This book ended up being a little deeper than I thought it would be! Tina and her fiance Logan have moved to a small town in Pennsylvania. Almost immediately Logan is weirded out by the home, by the creaky basement door that always seems to open on it's own, and the general eerie feeling he gets. Tina likewise senses the weirdness of the house, but is more open to everything going on than he is. She's truly just enjoying the house and the future she hopes to build between her and Logan in this new adventures they're on.
Almost immediately, the story starts adding in twists and turns that sometimes made my head spin. The paranormal aspect in this book isn't scary at all, but it's WILD. Who is the ghost haunting the house? And how is their new contractor related to the whole situation? If you want a fun, quick book with lots of steam, lots of paranormal, and lots of reality bending experiences, then I think you'll enjoy this book.
Holy moly this was fantastic! A great Halloween novella if you’re looking for haunted house and spice. This was so much fun and definitely hot!
I really enjoyed the storyline behind the haunted house. A little predictable at times but still entertaining. I had a lot of fun reading this. The plot was intriguing and the pace was fast which made this a quick read (plus I just couldn’t put it down).
Tina was a great heroine. I liked that she was determined to figure everything out. The other characters were also great. I especially liked Derrick.
This is definitely erotica 🤣. The spice here was smoking hot! 🥵 I was not expecting how steamy this got. I’m going to hint that the ghost is involved (plus someone else!)🤭. This gets very naughty!! Warning: Do not read this in public‼️
A very good Halloween novella/horror erotica. Would recommend reading!
Wow. Absolutely the best way to end the spooky season. Like I said, let's be real because I did not pick this book up for the plot. I was here for the smut and I'm not afraid to admit it.
Now I think the the actual plot was predictable and while I don't condone cheating, I was able to look past it because of the events that turn out. The real story is really the relationship development between the FMC, the MMC, and the MMC's brother. I will admit there were a few times where I was unsure about Damien, but towards the end, I realized I didn't want him to go😂
Have I got the perfect book for your spooky season!! The moment I heard about this horror romance which included a ghost twin, I was sold! While this is a huge divergence from what you may find in a Nisha book, it tickled my brain in the best way. Normally I get too easily scared reading horror, but because this ghost was all about Tina, I didn’t have a problem. Well. The problem is I want my own set of twins, including a rough, ghostly brother that is willing to share!
Ya know, I’ve never contemplated 👌🏻👈🏻 a vengeful poltergeist and his very much alive twin brother, but Nina doesn’t make it sound half bad. 🤣
GR labels this book as horror romance, but honestly it’s just a dark paranormal romance. It is ghosty spooky, but not horror. And that’s saying a lot coming from a scaredy cat like me.
Honestly, that ending had me hoping there will be more coming from their household in the future.
Definitely check the triggers, but they’re not too bad.
Honestly, I went into this book completely blind by a title recommendation on TikTok. I really had no idea what this was gonna be about and it was absolutely ridiculous. If I would’ve known it was a cheating/revenge plot. I would’ve never picked it up in the first place, but that’s on me for not investigating deeper lol however the book had many typos that were very distracting. I didn’t love it. I am hoping my brain will forget this book soon.
A quick little escape from reality. This is a spicy, ghostly story full of aggression and, maybe, sleep paralysis? Read it for the smut, not for the plot. I did enjoy the narration done by Simone Lewis and Jonathan Waters. They were able to relay the heat and urgency of all the situations encountered. Both are easily understood at faster speeds.
Thank you Simon Maverick for the gifted audiobook in exchange for my honest review!
Hi Friends! Nina Saxena is my pen name for dark, paranormal sci-fi and fantasy romance. NOW YOU SEE HIM is a horror romance and not because there are ghosts. Please, please, PLEASE read the content warnings before you begin, especially if you aren't an avid reader of dark romance books. You can find all of them here: www.authorninasaxena.com
Murder, spice, a fed-up FMC, and not one but TWO flannel-wearing grumps (minor detail: one of them is dead 👻). The vibes are spooky, messy, and addictive in the best way.
I’m not usually a horror romance girlie, but Nina Saxena might’ve changed that. Some dub/noncon scenes may not be for every reader, and I definitely wanted more pages at the end, but overall this was a quick, unputdownable read.
Read it in one sitting. Check the content warnings. Then thank me later. ✨
This book was unhinged in the best possible way. I went in expecting pure ghosty spice chaos (and got that, don’t worry 😏), but what completely surprised me was how invested I got in the actual story. It’s weird, wild, hauntingly hot, and somehow still emotional? I devoured it. 10/10 would let this ghost ruin my life again. 👻🔥
Completely random novella i saw on my feed and since it's still close to Halloween i decided to give it a chance. I hate book with a cheating H and h but honestly here i didn't really focus on that. The story was wacky as fuck but i actually had fun reading it !! Some parts of the story felt a bit all over the place but overall i really enjoyed it despite the cheating.
I enjoyed the storyline. My black heart had hoped for a murder-y ending and I'm a little sad it didn't go that far. The ending was too abrupt for my taste. And the typos really pulled me out of the story.
Literally one of my favorites of Nishas! If you love short smutty romance with dark and horror elements look no further. Truly hope she continues writing books like this because it was perfect.
This is a bonkers (and filthy) good time! I recommend checking content warnings to make sure this is the book for you, but otherwise go in with as little plot knowledge as possible for maximum enjoyment.
brothers/twins sharing is probably my favourite taboo trope, couple that with one being a ghost and spooky vibes, and you have me in a chokehold!!! i absolutely devoured this.
