Upon A Time: The Secret Life of Country Mice : Book 1

Rate this book
This Christian Romance novel is a story of unexpected love, spiritual awakening, and the seasons that shape us, and a glimpse into the secret life of country mice.

To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heavens. And if you want to make God laugh, just tell Him your plans.

Daniel Anderson, a country boy and soon-to-be college graduate, was just enjoying one last spring break in New York City when he lost his wits over a pair of sky-blue eyes and thick black hair. Torn between his faith and the pull of temptation, Dan chooses obedience to God—leaving behind the girl who stole his heart.

Rebecca Lloyd, a rising marketing star and city girl through and through, never expected to meet a tall Midwestern cowboy at a nightclub. She certainly didn’t expect to dance with him for hours, fall in love through their DMs, or have her heart broken, all while discovering the Savior she never knew she needed.

Warm, Endearing & Real!

I loved this story & my heart is yearning for more from this author. I wasn't born in Minnesota, but having lived here for 44 years; I can say with assurance that this author has captured the essence of Minnesota life.
We don't yearn for the fancy, but rejoice in life's smallest blessings; giving God the glory!

When I settled in to read this story, I didn't know what to expect from this new and unknown author. I ended up reading it in two sittings! I was pulled in from initial character development, hometown happiness, the joy of budding romance and the stark hardship of a love that cannot be!
Another unexpected blessing; not just reading, but experiencing this story, as if I had been there, I loved the refreshing re-assurance that God is real. He is with us, calling, leading and helping us through our darkest fears and rejoicing when we acknowledge HIM as our only Salvation. I found myself looking for recipes, smiling about small town celebrations and finding an ever greater desire to keep my Savior close in my heart and in my relationships.
