Icarus : The Mafia Myths Series

Rate this book
The Woman who saved him is the daughter of the man he swore to destroy.

In the sterile quiet of a hospital, Sol finds peace talking to "John Doe," the man in the coma after a brutal motorcycle crash. She pours her heart out to the handsome stranger, a kindness he seems to absorb even in his unconscious state.

But John Doe is no stranger. He is Icarus Aetos, a ruthless mafia don who just escaped maximum security prison. And when he finally opens his eyes, he realizes he's stumbled directly into the life of the woman whose father killed his mother and sent him to rot.

Icarus has a history of flying too close to the sun, but this time, he's found the perfect he'll make the Don's daughter his bride.

Sweeping Sol into a whirlwind marriage, Icarus’s cold vengeance clashes with Sol’s fierce heart. As their intense connection threatens to melt his carefully constructed walls, the dangerous games begin. They must battle their own demons and the powerful enemies closing in—including the man who wants Sol back and Icarus dead.

Will Icarus’s rage burn them both to ashes, or will Sol be the sun that saves him

I should not be this into a dangerous man, but here we are…..

This book has a great mix of emotion and danger. Sol is an easy heroine to love, and her voice feels honest and grounded. Icarus’s point of view adds a darker intensity, and the chemistry between them is strong from the moment he wakes up. The mafia twist and Greek myth touches make the story stand out. Some pacing moments are fast, but the characters and tension kept me hooked. A dramatic and addictive read.

So good!!!!

First off… Lantana knows how to write a villain. So good!!! So creepy!!! The kind you just want to punch in the face and then run away.

She also excels at giving strong men the ability to be vulnerable without losing their “man card”

I loved the PCOS representation.

Love how selfless Sol is.

I LOVED finding book 2 Easter eggs in this book.

Also, please give Gio a book 🥹🥹🥹 I want a grown up story about him.

icarus & Sol's relationship was amazing
the plot of the book and story was great

I read this book for Lantana, to check for plot holes, errors etc that being said the errors etc ARE NOT a reflection on my rating

I felt as though the ending was abit - blah and flat compared to the drama-action and hype throughout the whole back and the time hop really wasn't needed

(ive voiced this to Lantana and gave her my suggestions) based on that alone - thats why its 4 stars not 5..

if i hear back from Lantana with regards to further edits and add ons and I need to reread said end chapters then my review WILL CHANGE.

overall tho, I really did enjoy this book.
