Broken Angel is the second captivating book in Dante St. John’s dark paranormal urban romantasy series.

Ivy has never given up hope of being reunited with her wife Emma even after all they have been through. Now she must make her fall in love with her all over again and make her realise their love is everlasting.

Dante’s writing is effortless, and her world-building has multiple layers and blends elements of romance, magic, demons, and a post-apocalyptic world. The witty banter had me laughing and other times it was full of emotions. Broken Angel kept me engaged, whilst the steamy moments added to the anticipation. The quirky band of badass misfits are strong, sassy, and likable.

I can’t wait to see what Dante does next!

Oh my my my

Angels and Demons and Raven Shifters, oh my!!! So much more heart pounding than the first one, I couldn't put it down- so worth the lack of sleep to keep going 😅 absolutely love the "Dom/Letty" let it find it's way back on it's own vibe (IYKYK) (I really thought it would be the wine from their world). The world building, the character building 💯 absolutely perfect.

i absolutely loved this book. Broken Angel is the second book in the After the Breaking series, and Dante St. John has a rare talent for writing love that defies all others—love that survives the end of the world.

This book is emotionally charged, deeply character-driven, and full of tension that makes you say, “just one more chapter.” Ivy’s devotion to Emma is unwavering and heartbreaking in the best possible way. The main characters are two of the most powerful supernaturals—a demon and an angel—who also just so happen to be wives. Ivy remembers everything. Emma remembers absolutely nothing.

The story begins with Ivy, who was accidentally forced to possess a living host for decades (which has never happened before). When she finally breaks free, she must find Emma. The angel. Her wife.
Ivy’s years of being trapped and powerless are reflected in a good portion of her choices she makes and deeply impact how she approaches Emma. Even though Emma doesn’t remember Ivy, she refuses—under any circumstances—to force Emma to love her or be with her. It makes her love feel earned, not idealized or even "fated". Watching Ivy navigate such a fierce, enduring, and desperate love that exists only on her side in her memories is honestly devastating. I cried on several occasions because Emma’s amnesia creates a slow-burn tension that asks a painful question.... What happens when you find the love of your life, but now you’re a stranger to them? Ivy’s need is not to be chosen because of destiny, but because of love.

The demon--angel dynamic is handled with tenderness. Ivy is fierce, flawed, and often takes on a more “masculine” role, though she reads strongly as the eldest daughter type in my opinion—strong for everyone else except herself. She struggles to show vulnerability, emotion, and weakness, though those cracks appear when her guard is down (usually because of Emma). She carries female rage, control issues, and a deep fear of rejection, masking her pain because being hurt again feels unbearable.
Emma, on the other hand, embodies the feminine...both unhealed and healed. She is soft, nurturing, and often a people-pleaser, avoiding conflict at the expense of herself (even to the point of abuse). Her healed version is powerful-- embracing her sexuality, her desires, her sovereignty. She learns how to love Ivy (relove) and Corbin without losing herself in the process.
The adding of Corbin being a third love interest adds another layer of tension without feeling forced. He is genuinely kind, grounded, and easy to understand as a potential choice for Emma...especially because he knows her in the present, not the past she can’t remember. He represents safety and familiarity, while Ivy represents history, devotion, and a love that never stops. That distinct differences make the emotional connection sky rocket.
Corbin also plays a huge role because of how genuinely safe he makes Emma feel. His presence is steady and protective rather than possessive like Emmas ex, making Emma’s draw to him feel natural and earne (a common theme here).

What surprised me most, however, was the friendship that forms between Corbin and Ivy. Neither of them trusts easily, yet there’s an immediate, unspoken understanding between them. Their shared love for Emma becomes the bridge that connects them—creating respect instead of rivalry. That bond adds emotional depth and highlights Ivy’s deep desire to be accepted by others, something she has rarely experienced in a healthy way. It beautifully reflects a HUGE truth... we all crave meaningful human connection beyond romantic love, and that kind of bond—reserved for a best friend—is vital for our well-being and mental sanity. This is how light and dark thrive together.

Ultimately, the story allows its characters to exist fully in their wounds and flaws making moments of clarity, connection, and strength feel earned rather than forced. If you’ve ever felt like an outsider in your own skin... if you’ve wrestled with darkness instead of running from it..this book will feel uncomfortably familiar in the best way.
Broken Angel is the blueprint for a love that refuses to die, even when memory does.
If you believe love can survive possession, the apocalypse, a few possible crimes, semi-stalking, and legitimately forgetting your spouse—this book will wreck you in the best way.

Broken Angel (After the Breaking #2) by Dante St. John

5 out of 5 stars

This isn’t the first book that I’ve read by the author. Broken Angel is the second book in the After the Breaking Series. Broken Demon was the first and I was absolutely in love with it, so I was so excited to read this book. In Broken Angel we follow Ivy, Emma, and their lover Corbin. Will the three of them end up happy? Or will something happen that breaks them apart?

Ivy is the Demon that Echo noticed in Andromeda. Once she escaped after 20 years she went on a search for her wife. She’s not one to give up and she just wants to be reunited with her wife. She kills her father after he doesn’t give her the answers she’s seeking. Andromeda gives her the answers she was looking for and finds her wife in a small town playing teacher. She decides to go to town and befriend her wife. She tells her after everything happens: “Turns out being lit on fire and then having a mountain fall on me is my healing threshold. My body was completely destroyed. Took me longer than expected to pull all the atoms back together. Zero sense of time when you’re floating out there in the universe.”

Emma is Ivy’s wife and she has no idea that she is an angel or that Ivy is a demon. What happens when she dumps her boyfriend because he doesn’t like her hanging out with Ivy? Then comes a co-worker who has been nothing but friendly. What will she do when she catches feelings for both Corbin and Ivy? Something major happens and it leaves Corbin and Emma alone for a while. She tells Corbin this: “Okay. You’re right. We need to move. She’ll find us.”

Corbin has been in love with Emma since she moved to town. Now he has to fight for her attention from another woman. Can he make her see that he is the one she should choose? Or can he get over the fact that he and Ivy are both in love with the same woman. Corbin has his own little secret that he’s been keeping so when Emma is taken he has to let it be known. Corbin tells Emma this when she comes out looking for Ivy: “The thunder? Yeah. Get back inside. It’s freezing out here.”

Dante St. John does it again with Broken Angel, the sequel to Broken Demon. Ivy is finally free after spending twenty years trapped inside a human body, named Andromeda, and the first thing she does is go looking for her wife. Emma is the angel she was torn from when the world ended, and finding her has been Ivy’s only hope for decades.

When Ivy finally tracks Emma down, things are not as simple. Emma does not remember Ivy at all, and she has built a new life. She is surrounded by people who care about her, including a very gorgeous man named Corbin. Ivy knows she cannot force her to remember, so she has to start over and try to make Emma fall in love with her all over again.

I actually enjoyed this book a bit more than the first one. Broken Angel leaned more into action and plot and a little less into spice, which really worked for me. I found myself completely locked in from start to finish.

The story blends romance, demons, angels, and a post apocalyptic world in a way that feels easy and immersive. The world building has depth without ever feeling heavy. The banter is sharp and funny, the emotional moments hit hard, and the steamy scenes still add plenty of tension without overpowering the story.

Emma struggles with feelings she cannot explain and connections she does not fully understand. Corbin adds another layer to the story, bringing his own secrets into the mix. The dynamic between the three of them keeps the story engaging and unpredictable.

I absolutely loved this book. Ivy and Emma’s love story is intense, heartbreaking, and hopeful all at once. Watching Ivy refuse to give up, even when everything is stacked against her, made this such a satisfying read.

Now I am seriously hoping book three gives us a full on team up between Andromeda and Ivy, because that would be completely badass and I need it immediately, especially after how this book ended.

📚Broken Angel
✍🏻Dante St. John
Blurb:
They say it’s better to deal with the devil you know—too bad the angel forgot they were married.
Ivy waited over twenty years to be reunited with her wife. She’s not about to let a little thing like amnesia stop her.

Forced to possess the body of an unwilling host, Ivy lived in silence for two decades, powerless and desperate to find Emma—the angel she was torn from when the world ended. Now, the demon is free, and she has one find her wife.
With her former host’s help, Ivy tracks her wayward angel to a small town.
There are just two small Emma doesn’t remember Ivy at all. And she has a line of admirers half a mile long.
With no idea if Emma will ever recall their love, Ivy is about to learn that getting a second chance isn’t as easy as picking up where they left off.
My Thoughts:
I absolutely loved this book! Ivy and Emma's story is one for the ages. Ivy has spent the last 20 years trapped in the body of a human, and when she finally breaks free her first need is to find her wife. After searching, she finally finds her, only to discover Emma doesn't remember who Ivy is (or even who she is herself). That doesn't stop Ivy from loving her wife, though. This book was an excellent ending to Broken Demon.

This is a raw, high-stakes urban fantasy romance that serves as the second installment in the After the Breaking series. Following the events of the first book, this sequel shifts the focus to a story of lost time, forgotten vows, and the desperate search for a second chance in a world that has already ended. The story centers on Ivy, a demon who has spent twenty grueling years trapped inside an unwilling human host, forced into silence while the world collapsed around her. Her only motivation for survival is finding Emma, the angel she was married to before the Breaking tore them apart. When Ivy finally gains her freedom, she tracks Emma to a small town, only to face a heartbreaking obstacle: Emma has amnesia and has no memory of Ivy or their life together. The world-building maintains a gritty, post-apocalyptic atmosphere where supernatural beings deal with very human problems like grief, trauma, and unrequited love. The narrative explores the psychological toll of Ivy’s two-decade isolation and the frustration of being a stranger to the person you love most. Unlike many romances where the reunion is a relief, Broken Angel treats the reunion as a new beginning fraught with tension, as Ivy must decide how much of their shared past to force upon an Emma who doesn't remember her. It’s best read after Broken Demon to fully appreciate the setting, though the central romance between Ivy and Emma stands on its own emotional merits. If you liked the first book you definitely need to read this book next.

Ivy has just returned from being trapped in a human body since the Breaking, but that is a long story and we don't have time to go into that, but she has always had the ability to regenerate, but this time something feels off, whether it is the over sensitivity to everything or the never ending pain, she is not sure, but it has never been like this.

Another thing which has changed is she isn't with her wife, a beautiful angel who owns her whole heart and Ivy is determined to find her, so she gets help from her past entrapment and their friends and finally gets a lead. As she is still recovering, it takes her nearly a full day to travel from where she is to where her Angel is living and by the time she gets there, she is exhausted but determined to set eyes on Emma, but it seems that nothing is simple and Emma doesn't recognise or remember her.

This is where Ivy begins to make a life in the small town and make Emma hers, so she gets a job, an apartment and starts winning her over, despite all the other admirers hanging around, but will Emma fall in love with Ivy all over again, and will the rest of the road be smooth, it will there be more bumps and twists along the way? This is a romance with dark elements sprinkled throughout which pulls you in and keeps you there through the twists, turns and steamy scenes until you find out whether the two have their happily ever after.

Broken Angel is the second installment of St. John’s After the Break series. If you like a paranormal romance with a sharp, emotional hook, then this is the book for you. This delivers it all and then some, following our FMC Ivy, who has been searching for her wife Emma for over 20 years, only to find that Emma doesn’t remember who she is. St. John leans into the ache of a second-chance romance that can’t just “pick up where the characters left off previously.” Ivy’s devotion is unwavering, which makes the stakes feel intensely personal, especially as IVY carries the weight of everything she endured while trapped and powerless for decades. The small-town setting and Emma’s “admirers” add a fun layer of tension and jealousy without losing the emotional center of Ivy fighting to be chosen again by her wife, not just again, but over and over. Overall, this one reads like high-angst, high-heart paranormal romance with a central dynamic that’s equal parts tender and gut-punchy. It’s also clearly positioned as the continuation of the series from Broken Demon. So, if you are looking for a book with fantasy, second-chance romance, small-town love, and a sapphic perspective, then this is the book for you!

This book grabbed me right away and never let go. I didn’t think I would love it as much as I did the first in the series, but it ended up being incredible! I will say that you should definitely read the first book before diving into this one because it will be much easier to understand with the full backstory. Also, it’s just amazing. The world-building is one of my favorites here, but the characters are on another level. A demon desperately searching for her angel wife after twenty years apart is already compelling, but the added twist of amnesia makes it hurt in the best way. Ivy is fierce, loyal, and heartbreakingly patient, and it’s impossible not to root for her. The past possession storyline adds an eerie, thoughtful layer that makes the world feel lived-in and strange in a good way. Emma’s lack of memory creates a constant ache, especially as Ivy has to watch her fall into a whole new life. The small-town setting contrasts nicely with the apocalyptic backstory and keeps the story grounded. The romance is tender, angsty, and slow-burn without feeling dragged out. I highly recommend picking it up if you’re looking for a second-chance love story that’s equal parts supernatural drama and emotional gut punch.

This is the second book in The Breaking Series. This is a emotional story about redemption, rebuilding trust and so much more. It is an urban paranormal story which follows on from the first book so I do recommend reading that book first so you're can follow the story.

Ivy is a demon. After spending 20 years after the breaking trapped in a human she is finally free and the only thing on her mind is finding and reuniting with her wife. At the time of the breaking they were torn apart and now Ivy is determined to find her.

When Ivy finds Emma there is a complication, Emma doesn't remember Ivy, doesnt know she is an angel and doesn't remember being married to Ivy.
But thats no issue for Ivy she will just make her wife fall in love with her again.
However things aren't that simple and when an additional love interest gets added to the mix in the form of Corbin who is also hiding secrets of his own, the path to reclaiming Emma as her love and wife becomes more tricky than Ivy first imaged.
Will Emma remember who she is and her relationship with Ivy? Or will Ivy lose her again but this time to another person?

Broken Angel is the second book in the After Breaking series by Dante St John. It is an intense and emotionally charged continuation of the After the Breaking series that blends raw vulnerability with high-stakes tension.
The novel dives deep into themes of trust, redemption, and the haunting weight of past choices. The character’s journey is layered with pain, resilience, and moments of tenderness - making them feel incredibly ‘real’. Ms. St. John’s writing style is vivid, bringing the story and characters to life.
What stands out most in this instalment is the emotional push-and-pull between the MCs. Their chemistry is electric, but it’s the quiet, broken moments that truly hit home. The pacing is tight, with just enough breathing room between the dramatic developments to let the emotions simmer.
If you enjoy post-apocalyptic romance with grit, flawed heroes, and a touch of darkness, Broken Angel delivers. It’s not just a love story — it’s about redemption, survival, and is a reminder that even in the ruins, hope can take flight.
Happy Reading…

Broken Angel by Dante St. John
4 Stars

Broken Angel is the second book in the series. The main characters are literally a demon and an angel, along with a cast of other supernatural beings, which adds a fun, dark fantasy vibe to the story. This book focuses a lot on emotional damage, inner conflict, and what it means to be broken—even when you’re not human. The angel and demon dynamic is interesting, especially as both characters are deeply flawed and struggling with their own pasts. There’s plenty of angst, tension, and moral grey areas, which fits the tone of the story well.
The writing has a gritty, moody feel, and while the story can be heavy at times, it works for the kind of dark paranormal world the author has created. It’s definitely not a light read, but if you enjoy supernatural stories with emotional depth and complicated characters, it delivers. Overall, Broken Angel is a solid continuation of the series and a good pick for readers who like paranormal romance or fantasy with darker themes and lots of emotional stakes.

I loved this book! It follows Ivy and later Corbin as they look for Emma. Emma is an angel and Ivy a demon and they have been together centuries but Emma doesn't remember who Ivy is so she must make her remember. Emma lives amongst humans who don't know she's an angel so Ivy must hide her demonic side which proves quite difficult at times. Corbin and Ivy and Emma all form a relationship as a group and become very close. They must stick together as they are attacked, one is kidnapped and one becomes missing presumed dead. They must overcome all obstacles thrown in their way if they are to be happy together.
I loved this one more than the first, it had me gripped from the very first chapter. I loved the fact that each chapter is written from either Emma's or Ivy's point of view so we could know how each other felt about everything and I loved the relationship the 2 main characters had for each other. I highly recommend not just this book but the author too, will be reading more from her.

This is the second book in this series in which I enjoyed reading and just as great if not greater. I enjoy this author’s creative characters as well as their ability to pull me into the story from the start. This is an engaging story about amnesia and getting a second chance at love. It is a story that kept me turning pages fast just to see what would happen next. Ivy has waited decades to find her wife but when she finally does Emma doesn’t remember who she is. Will Emma ever remember the love she felt with ivy? I enjoyed all the characters in this story. I enjoyed Ivy’s determination to get Emma back. They are book strong characters that I enjoyed watching their growth. They made the story easy and entertaining for me to read. They also made me care about what happened at the end to them and I had to know. This is a fast paced, hard to put down story that I really enjoyed. I look forward to seeing what is next for this author. I highly recommend this book.

Broken Angel is the second book in the After the Breaking series and the second book I've read by Dante St. John. Dante delivers once again with a fast-paced, action-packed, romantasy that had me hooked from beginning to end. Andromeda's demon, Ivy, is now free and searching for her wife, Emma. Ivy finally finds her, only to realize Emma has no memory of Ivy, or even of her own angelic origins. The reader is also introduced to Corbin, who finds himself drawn to Emma. Will Emma choose the wife she doesn't remember or the handsome friend she's known for years? Dante brings the same vivid world-building to this book as she did in the first book. The characters are realistically and fantastically flawed, believable, and absolutely lovable. Broken Angel is filled with action, mystery, supernatural creatures, lots of twists and turns, and so much more emotion. I can't wait to read more from Dante St. John.

I was really lucky to receive Broken Angel as an arc. This book was even better than the first if that is possible. The evolvement of the characters in this book has been great and the why choose aspect is fantastic. All of Dante’s characters are strong powerful women and I love how empowering that is! It was awesome to get a recap of where andromeda and Viktor are as well as cameos from Eli and echo(my favorite characters).I love the action scenes of the paranormal powers but balanced by the plot of the characters. There was just the perfect amount of spice mixed with plot. I hope we get more of this series and more of a backstory of the breaking because I am not ready to be done with it yet! 5 star read for me and will be shouting it from the rooftops! Dante St. John is an author you don’t want to miss!

Broken Angel is a beautiful well-balanced spicy Romantasy heavy on the excitement with a respectable side of garlic rolls. This book is a masterful exploration of character full of longing. Dante St John explores the edges of non-traditional relationships without resorting to platitudes or preachiness, allowing each character room and space to love and be loved in their own unique way. Sure there are wings, demons, angels, and nearly immortal flocks of ravens in geek’s clothing. But more than that, there is heart. In this boo, Dante takes the reader gently by the pocket and pulls them in, to the story, and into love with the leading cast of misfits. So, I invite you, pick up the book, grab a garlic roll, and drink in this spirited story. You won’t regret it.

Broken Angel pulled me in from the very first chapter. The emotions in this book feel so real, the pain, the healing, the love, the twists all of it. Dante St. John does an amazing job making you connect with the characters, especially Angel, whose struggles and strength made me want to keep turning the pages.

The writing is fast-paced and addictive, and the storyline has the perfect mix of heartbreak, suspense, and romance. I loved how the story showed growth, resilience, and the power of finding yourself again after everything falls apart.

If you love emotional reads with depth, drama, and characters you can truly feel for, I definitely recommend this book. It stays with you even after you finish.

I was so happy when Ivy got her own story. If you haven't read book one yet, I would definitely make sure to go read book 1. You wont regret it! Plus, you'll be able to understand a few events that happen in this book. Now onto the story! Ivy is has been forced to possess an unwilling host for 2 decades. So she has had to sit in the quiet and silence for two. decades. two. I'm surprised she didn't go crazy after all that time. When she is finally able to find her angel with a demon and her host's help, she is able to find Emma in a small town. Only to her devastation, Emma doesn't remember her at all. I love that even with this setback Ivy doesn't give up. Second chances are hard, especially when your partner has no memory of you, but you remember them.

Broken Angel
By Dante ST John

Broken Angel is the second book in the After Breaking Series. I had trouble getting in to this book, pretty sure I was more than half way through the book before it caught my interest. It was more than likely because I haven't ready book one and have missed out on alot of the background, that has been carried on into Broken Angel. On saying that I feel the book ahs been written well, if you have read book one I am sure you will engage with the characters in this book. To do Broken Angel the justice it deserves and think I will read book one, then re-read Broken Angel. Please don't let my review stop you from reading this book, but do yourself a favour and start at the beginning of the series.

Broken Angel by Dante St. John
5 Star Review
Dante St. John. Has done it again! This book grabbed me with page one and is so emotional and raw, that it almost slaps you in the face. This story is about redemption, damage, and a combination of self destruction and salvation.
Ivy has spent a very long time looking for her wife Emma. She is devastated to find out that Emma, after she is found, does not remember who Ivy is. This brings up a lot of emotional turmoil and roadblocks in what should be a second chance romance. St. John’s writing is so real that instead of reading about Ivy’s pain, I could feel it! It was raw and wrecking.
The writing is this book is easy to read, intense, and really stays with you. I am left looking for more.

Book 2 finds us with the couple of Ivy, a demon, and her wife Emma, a beautiful angel. After the breaking, they were separated and Ivy spent 20 years stuck in a powerless existence, just pining for her gorgeous wife. When Ivy is finally able to find Emma, she recognizes that she has been the only wife pining for her love - Emma doesn't even remember her, and has a line a mile long of admirers speaking on her beauty and grace.

Ivy has no doubt the love of her life will get beyond her amnesia eventually - she didn't spend twenty years yearning for her love to give up that easy.

A very well written book with stunning world-building and the ache of yearning. Such a wonderful series so far!

This book was a brilliant follow up to the first book and, for me, was even better than I was expecting it to be. Emma and Ivy were everything for this story. Their connection, their history, their ongoing journey. I was pulled into them instantly and I could not stop reading. The more I read the more I became interested in everything about them.
I loved the way the author seemed to so effortlessly match the characters with the story. The two of them complimented each other so well and created a story that stays with you once it is finished. As the second book in the series, this shows such promise for anything more to come.

Broken Angel is Dante St. John's second book in the After the Breaking Book series. I could not put this book down; it was everything I was hoping for and so much more. This story had me hoping that their love would be able to withstand the trials the main characters faced. Would love be able to withstand all obstacles, including memory loss? What wonderful character development, the storyline was at times so heartbreaking, but the passion that it brings about in the reader was amazing. I highly recommend this book series to all you fantasy book fans out there. Definitely for a more mature audience, not recommended for a younger reader.

Okay, I did not read the first book…I know, I know. But with that being said. This book was still so easy to follow. And I’m glad that I read it regardless. I absolutely loved Ivy’s tenacity when it came to trying to get her wife back. Even though Emma didn’t remember that Ivy was her wife, she wasn’t about to just give up. Especially after 20 years of floating around in the universe wanting to become whole again. Emma doesn’t even remember that she’s an angel and Ivy is a demon. I loved the twists and turns and the curveballs from Corbin. This book was intense and loving. It really grabs you and keeps you turning the pages. So now I’m going back to read book one! lol

Oooo what a journey. If you have not read book one, Broken Demon, please stop and go read it first, it makes everything so much better and worse. That emotional damage of Ivy trying to get back her wife, Emma, broke my heart repeatedly but giving up isn’t what she does. She never stops fighting. Ivy remembers everything and won’t give up. Emma has completely forgotten who she is herself and Ivy. Her new life in a small town and a line of admirers is just the beginning of what happens next. The twists, turns and a few curveballs definitely make this a must-read series, and I hope the author graces us with a third book. I don’t wanna say goodbye to this world or the characters yet.

Broken Angel is the second book in the After the Breaking series by Dante St. John. This book was just as good, if not better, than the original one that had me hooked from beginning to end. Andromeda's demon, Ivy, is now free and all she wants is to find her wife Emma, but of course everything isn’t perfect once she finds her. The world building is fantastic and the characters are realistically and fantastically flawed, believable, and absolutely lovable. I loved the romance as much as the action and mystery that’s in this book that has lots of twists and turns. I can't wait to read the next book in this series from Dante St. John.

I got an ARC of Broken Angel and honestly didn’t plan to read it all at once, but I was hooked right away. The writing just flows so easily. I ended up finishing it in two sittings because I couldn’t stop. It’s emotional without being heavy, and the characters feel so real that you can’t help but get attached.

There’s this mix of heartbreak, love, and hope that really got to me. Dante St. John’s writing is beautiful and effortless to read. I’m already looking forward to whatever they write next.

Ok so after I read this, I realized there was a book 1 🤦‍♀️ I do feel that not reading book 1 did harm my rating a bit and only because of the connection with Ivy. Now, besides that, it was such a good read. Once I got past my confusion a bit, I got into the story. I love Ivys loyalty and drive to find her wife! I also love how Andromeda and Ivy still remained friends even with Andromeda unknowingly imprisoned Ivy. It was such a nice touch. Now, Ivy having to essentially win back Emma made the story even more entertaining. It was cute, sweet, and very much what I needed.
