Thanksgiving in Sandy Harbor is a time for family, food, and gratitude, but this year’s holiday feast serves up more than turkey and pumpkin pie. Allie Blanchard is eager to host her family gathering with her best friend Lucy by her side, but when a murder interrupts the holiday, celebration turns to suspicion. With tensions rising and secrets hidden behind polite smiles, Allie and Lucy dive into sleuthing while Allie’s husband, Alec, leads the official investigation. Between pie baking, coffee chats, and a table of suspects, they must catch the culprit before the holiday ends in disaster.
Full of small-town charm, seasonal traditions, and a dash of humor, this Thanksgiving cozy mystery will leave you thankful for another helping of murder.
Allie and Lucy had their sleuthing work cut out for them when a local who seemed to them to be a nice person was murdered, and there were some good candidates for suspects. It didn’t take me too long to figure out whodunit, but the fun’s always seeing how Allie trips up the perp during the showdown, sometimes literally but usually with her clever questions. At least Thanksgiving was gonna be enjoyed by Allie and all her friends and family on time after the killer was put away.
I adore these books. Knowing the characters so well after reading so many makes the reading experience that much better. Allie and Lucy get up to their usual crime solving ways during the Thanksgiving season. This one seemed a but less sleuth-y, but enjoyable nonetheless!
This was one of my favorites I've read so far by this author. And it was perfect for Thanksgiving week! I enjoyed getting back to this town & these characters, & the mystery was pretty good. I will continue to work my way through her blacklist.
It's been a while since we had a Thanksgiving themed cozy from this author, but I was happy to see this one! I love this series, and this was a wonderful, seasonal addition!
