Rate this book
I'm snowed in with a sexy millionaire for the holidays . . .

Roman

A loud Christmas party full of strangers isn’t my idea of a good time. Until I’m caught under the mistletoe with a gorgeous guy who kisses me like he’s been waiting all his life to do it. And then he disappears just as quickly as he showed up. I’ve never believed in love at first sight, but I can’t get him out of my head. When I find him hitchhiking in foot-deep snow just a day later, and we’re forced to take shelter together during a blizzard, I’m ready to call it fate.

Sage
I should never have kissed that millionaire under the mistletoe. It was completely reckless. And yet… I can’t seem to stop thinking about him. I’ve been single since my ex leaked a NSFW video of us as part of a social media challenge, and I thought I was destined to be alone forever. But there’s something about this gruff stranger and the filthy way he talks to me that has me begging for his touch…

Welcome to Haversham City, where Christmas wishes always come true. Settle in with a cozy romance with these sexy millionaires as they find their happily ever afters this holiday season.

He wasn’t looking for love. Then came the kiss, the snow, and him.

Roman doesn’t do holiday cheer or emotional risks. Burned by betrayal, he’s focused on work, control, and keeping people at a distance. But one night at a friend’s Christmas party, a quiet moment in a shadowed alcove puts him face-to-face with someone unexpected, and one mistletoe kiss shakes something loose.

Sage isn’t looking for anything either. Still healing from an ex who broke his trust in the worst way, he keeps his head down and his heart locked up. But the man behind that kiss is different. Steady, protective, and patient in a way Sage hasn’t felt in years.

When a snowstorm traps them in a remote cabin, silence turns to tension, tension turns to touch, and touch gives way to something neither of them saw coming. Roman's dominance hides a tenderness Sage didn't know he was allowed to want. And Sage’s quiet vulnerability holds the kind of strength Roman has been missing.

Sage starts to believe he can be more than what his past left behind. Roman begins to hope that maybe love is worth the risk. As walls lower and truths rise, what begins with attraction becomes a fierce, intimate bond neither expected.

A steamy, snowed in, hurt comfort, mistletoe kiss, opposites attract, small town MM Christmas romance exploring trust after betrayal, emotional healing, vulnerability, dominance and submission, found family, and self-worth. It’s about two scarred men learning how to stop running, how to be held without fear, and how to trust again without losing themselves. What starts as a kiss in the dark becomes an intense journey toward a love that doesn’t let go.

The Elevator Pitch: A steamy MM holiday romance ignites when a single kiss leads to snowbound temptation between a brooding billionaire and a sweet, emotionally scarred artist. What starts as heat deepens as trust builds, walls fall, and healing takes hold. It's tender, intense, and wrapped in a love that feels like coming home.

This was a cute story. I really liked Roman and Sage together. I’m glad they were both able to move forward after what happened with their ex’s. What happened to both of them was terrible and I’m glad they found each other.

I really liked Sage’s parents, even with the little they were in it. I can’t stand Roman’s mom and I just knew what she was gonna do, and of course, she did. I also just knew that he was going to end up staying with Sage for Christmas because of his mom, and I’m so glad he did. He deserves way than the way his parents treated him, and Sage’s parents are great! They had only just met Roman, and as far as they knew at that time, Sage and Roman weren’t dating. Despite that, they already treated him as part of the family. Now that Roman has Sage, I really hope he disowns her. I don’t think that’s the right word to use since it usually applies from a parent to a child, not vice versa, but it still gets my meaning across, lol.

I wish there had been something with Rory in it towards the end, being that he’s the one that pointed out they were under the mistletoe, but despite that, there wasn’t anything about Rory’s reaction to them getting together. Also, I know how Roman knows Hayden, but I really wanted to know how Sage knew Rory. We get to see Sam again, so we know how Sam and Rory know each other, but not Rory and Sage. And Sage wasn’t mentioned in Rory’s book.

I know Roman is a millionaire, but the story just kind of feels like it’s about two regular guys. Honestly, with some things that Roman had said, I was expecting him to use his money and connections to get Drake thrown in jail or something because of the video. He definitely would have deserved it and it at least would have made the story feel more like a millionaire romance than it does, because it really doesn’t. The only thing indicating that Roman is rich is when Sage thinks “I shouldn’t have kissed that millionaire” at the very beginning, which is honestly an odd thought to have if you think about it. I’m fairly certain Sage didn’t who Roman was at the time, so the thought felt more like it was worded the way it was to insert the millionaire part into the story.

Overall, it’s an enjoyable read, and I’m happy Roman and Sage found each other. I think their personal experiences with their ex’s helped them trust each other a little more than they would have anyone else because they both know what it feels like to be betrayed and struggling with trusting someone new.

I thoroughly enjoyed this short, sweet tale of two men, damaged by their exes, but drawn to each other by an unexpected kiss when caught at a party under the mistletoe. Egged on by a friend of both, they kissed, Sage ran, but neither Sage nor Roman could forget that kiss. The next day, while both were on the same road, Roman came upon Sage walking in a snowstorm after his car quit. Surprised and a bit leery at first, Sage accepts a ride since both are going in the same direction (and like it’s a BIG snowstorm). As the storm intensifies, Roman decides to pull off at a group of cabins owned by a friend, getting Sage’s okay first. And of course, there’s only one bed. Sage is not real comfortable with the situation, but Roman is very careful with him, making sure things like sharing the bed, etc, are agreed upon ahead of time. Both have their own trust issues, but the time in the cabin lets them learn more about each other and start to build the basis for trust. When Sage invites Roman to come home with him for Christmas after Roman’s plans fell through, Roman was introduced to a family dynamic he had never had growing up, but had always wanted. Even though it is fast, these events set up the pair to take a chance on seeing if something lasting can be built.

I adored both characters and the way they approached the kiss, the cabin and Christmas. Sage had severe self-confidence issues, courtesy of his ex, and Roman had trust issues around being wanted for his money, not himself. Roman was very firm with Sage when talking badly about himself, reminding me of a Daddy/boy scenario in much of the way he encouraged Sage and tried to build his confidence, and Sage hardly seemed aware of Roman’s wealth, trying to pay his share. These two characters just spoke to me, they were so perfect for each other, each filling a need the other had, and regaining the trust and confidence that had been lost.

If you want a short, low angst but positive read with two really likable characters, set around the Christmas holidays, this may be the book for you. I had a smile on my face much of the time, and a really good feeling at the end.

The Millionaire’s Mistletoe Surprise is a cozy, sexy holiday romance that leans into all the best seasonal tropes—mistletoe kisses, snowed-in chemistry, and a little bit of fate. Candace Lark delivers a fast, feel-good read that’s perfect for curling up with during the holidays.

Roman and Sage’s meet-cute is instant and memorable, and their reunion during a blizzard feels delightfully inevitable. Roman’s gruff, guarded personality pairs well with Sage’s vulnerability and quiet strength, especially given Sage’s painful past. Their chemistry is undeniable, with just the right mix of tenderness and heat.

The snowy forced-proximity setting adds warmth and intimacy, while the holiday atmosphere keeps the story light and comforting. This book doesn’t overcomplicate things—it focuses on connection, healing, and the magic of finding love when you least expect it.

This is a fairly short read so the instalove/instalust part of the plot works out well with the length. Both main characters have pretty shitty ex boyfriends in their pasts so they're wary of starting something new, but a broken down car and a blizzard decide to force their hand. This fluffy bit of Christmas reading has the forced proximity and only one bed tropes out in full force so if those are tropes you normally go for, this is a very safe bet of a read. It's not super heavy on plot, but it's short enough it doesn't need to be. An excellent choice for a snack between longer (or more serious) reads.

The Millionaire’s Mistletoe Surprise was such a cozy, feel good holiday read. I loved the mistletoe meet cute and how it quickly turns into a snowed in situation that forces Roman and Sage to actually talk, connect, and fall hard. The chemistry is instant, but the emotional layer surprised me too, especially with Sage’s past and how carefully Roman treats him once he realizes what Sage has been through.

This novella hits the perfect balance of sweet and spicy, with festive vibes that make it easy to binge in one sitting. If you like holiday MM romance with forced proximity, a protective millionaire, and a satisfying happily ever after, this one is an easy recommendation 🎄❤️.

This is book three of the Haversham City Holidays series. Each book is a standalone read and focuses on a different couple. This is the story of Roman and Sage. The two meet while attempting to hide in the same spot at a party. They meet again later when Sage has car troubles and breaks down. Luckily Roman offers him a lift. This is their story. Both men have had a terrible experience with their ex betraying them. Roman is open to try again more than Sage. His ability to trust has been severely damaged. The book is well written and easy to read. I enjoyed this book.

Book 3 of the Haversham City Holidays series. Can be read as a standalone.
The millionaire and the stranger who kissed him under the Mistletoe.

The plot was pretty straightforward. The world building was solidly drawn. The characters drove the storyline and they were so very appealing and likeable and perfectly steamy together. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

Cute holiday novella with Roman and Sage - both have been betrayed by exes in their past and have a hard time ever thinking they can trust again. After a mistletoe meet-cute with a Cinderalla ending, Roman is left wanting to know more about Sage. As it happens, Sage ends up in need of a roadside rescue when Roman happens along. They end up snowed in for several days in a small cabin with only one bed where they talk alot and other smexy things happen. Very cute, steamy holiday read!

Sage knew he shouldn't have kissed the man under the mistletoe so enthusiastically but he was so yummy. Roman didn't expect the great kiss when he is under the mistletoe. When they end up stranded on the way to their parents' for Christmas there are unexpected consequences.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. It was a sweet holiday story where Roman and Sage run into each a couple of times and fall in love. I liked to believe they were better suited than they were with their exes.

The Millionaire's Mistletoe Surprise is the fourth book in the Haversham City Holidays series and can be read as a standalone. This is a hurt/comfort, opposites attract, snowed in read about Sage and Roman. I really enjoyed this steamy story and the wonderful characters.
