Elara
Elara is great at a lot of juggling a competitive degree, reading more romance novels than is socially acceptable, applying to jobs seven thousand miles away, and—most importantly—staying single. But when a running injury pushes her back into the pool, she collides with the one person who can throw all her carefully managed chaos off balance.

And it all starts with a note.

Lucien
He should’ve been an Olympian. Instead, an injury tanked the dream and left him building a career as head coach for the next generation of professional swimmers. His summer plan? Focus on his athletes, expand his camp, and avoid complications.

Until his neighbor’s best friend shows up at his pool—and one reckless note shatters the control he’s fought to keep.

About the author

Leoni Saemann

Leoni has been writing stories for as long as she can remember—give her a pen and a piece of paper, and she’ll disappear into her own little world. Writing has always been her escape from reality (and sometimes, she admits, she’s in no rush to come back).

Her debut novel, Pull, Kick, Breathe, Fall, blends the worlds of sports and academia with a good dose of banter, tension, and two people far too stubborn to beg the other to stay.

When she’s not writing, she’s probably buried in class notes, overanalyzing fictional relationships, or sipping on coffee strong enough to qualify as a personality trait.
You can usually find her sharing bookish chaos, writing updates, and behind-the-scenes moments on TikTok @leoniwrites and Instagram @leoni.writes

I could not put this book down if I tried. Lucien and Elara’s character development had me so invested I was ignoring responsibilities left and right. And Evander and Skylar? The comedic relief I didn’t know I needed, their humor was absolute gold.

I won’t lie, there were a few little errors here and there that normally would’ve driven me up the wall, but the story was so good it didn’t even matter. Plus, for this being the author’s first book? Color me impressed.

This story had me mad, sad, and so giddy at times my feet were literally kicking under the blanket like a schoolgirl. The emotions were all over the place in the best way possible. Oh, and the spice? Let’s just say… 🥵 There wasn’t a lot, but for what was there I loved every bit of it.

If you’re looking for a good, heartwarming love story with humor, tension, and just the right amount of heat, this is the one!
