What do you get when cancel culture sends a former it-girl influencer straight into the arms of the grumpy small-town mechanic with a secret obsession?A Daddy who’s got a secret that just might end our happily ever after before it begins. I was supposed to disappear. Change my name. Colored my hair. Get out before the internet dragged me under for good. Instead, I ended up in a busted Tesla, soaking wet, face to face with a man who could bench press my entire life and still have energy left to punish me. Beau Boone doesn't talk much. But when I call him “Daddy”, the Boone damn breaks. Now I’m staying in his house. Wearing his shirts. Following his rules. And learning that the quiet ones don’t just fantasize. They study. Turns out, Daddy doesn’t just want to fix my car. He wants to lock me down in a way that can never be undone.
Author’s A scandal-wrecked runaway. A grumpy mechanic Daddy who’s been studying how to please her. He’s been obsessed from afar and now that he’s fiddled around under her hood, he’s never letting her go. Book 4 in the Real Daddies Boone Brothers series brings a filthy grump who knows how to fix things right. Safe, no cheating, and completely feral for his girl.
Since I was a little girl, I’ve made up stories. I would lay in my bed at night and before I knew what a trope was, I would make up these trope filled stories. Boy sees girl, boys falls for girl, boy saves girl….happily ever after. As I got older, the stories turned steamier and more intricate, but the basics never changed.
Now, my books are still full of romance but the naughty bits are naughtier, my hero’s are obsessed alpha types and my heroines are quirky, real women who come in all shapes and sizes.
So, sit back, banish the real world and get lost in some over the top romance with a heaping helping of hot. xoxoxo
I love reading books by this author! She never disappoints especially when it is a series! She did it again with this series. I like how gentle and concern Beau is about Tessa but I kinda wish there more sexy scenes with the toys. 😈🫣🤭.

When Tessa accidentally drowns her Tesla at a local carwash, the last thing she expects is to collide (quite literally) with Beau Boone, the grumpy small-town mechanic with a protective streak a mile wide. Tessa, once a glittering social media influencer, is now a woman on the run from her imploded online persona. With her dyed hair, new name (“Tina”), and fierce determination to keep a low profile, she’s desperate for a breather from the suffocating scrutiny of internet fame. Beau, however, knows exactly who she is. He’s followed her online for years, and while he plays along with her disguise, he can’t help but be intrigued by the vulnerable woman hiding behind the filters and curated captions. What struck me most about Tessa was her longing for anonymity. A chance to exist without every breath being analyzed, monetized, and exploited. The way her parents profited off her image, treating her more like a brand than a daughter, gave me chills. Their greed and neglect left Tessa book-smart yet painfully naïve about the real world, making her all the more sympathetic. Beau recognizes that Tessa needs space to heal, but his quiet strength and simmering desire are impossible to ignore. Though haunted by mistakes in his past, Beau can’t deny the pull between them. When circumstances force Tessa to stay under his roof, his commanding presence and gentle authority become both a refuge and a temptation. Once their connection breaks through the walls they’ve both built, there’s no turning back. Beau shows Tessa not just passion, but what it means to be truly cherished. I especially loved the way this story handled Beau’s Daddy kink. Rather than focusing on regression, his brand of dominance is about adoration, protection, and pride. He sees Tessa as the intelligent, capable woman she is, and the way he brags to his brothers about her knowledge of engines was downright swoon-worthy. The stakes rise when Tessa discovers her parents have turned their predatory attention toward her autistic brother. Determined to protect him, she’s ready to sacrifice her newfound happiness, but Beau refuses to let her face that battle alone. And in that moment, it’s clear that Tessa hasn’t just found safety in Beau. She’s found her soulmate. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Tessa is done. Burned out from an influencer life she never chose, she walks away from fame, from the people who used her, and from everything that once defined her. Her car dies on the edge of nowhere, and the man who catches her mid-fall? He’s huge, silent, and looks at her like she’s already his.
Beau offers her a place to stay and a life with rules. He’s got secrets, a protective streak a mile wide, and a dangerous kind of tenderness. What begins with control and obsession shifts into something deeper as boundaries blur and trust builds in the quiet, intimate spaces between them.
But when the past she tried to outrun starts knocking, Beau won’t back down. What starts as survival becomes a new beginning, one built with bare hands, fierce loyalty, and a love that demands everything.
Tessa grows from a guarded survivor into a woman who finally chooses herself. Beau lets go of guilt and fear to become the partner and protector he was always meant to be. Together, they turn obsession into devotion, power into safety, and wreckage into a home.
A steamy, age gap romance with dominant daddy energy, obsessed protector vibes, forced proximity, small town escape, and found family, exploring trauma recovery, identity, power dynamics, emotional intimacy, obsession, trust, healing, and unconditional love. It’s about two broken people reclaiming their worth through devotion and desire, breaking patterns of control, and choosing each other when the world has only ever used them.
When Tessa, a former influencer on the run collides with Beau Boone, the town’s gruff mechanic, sparks ignite faster than the busted Tesla that brought them together. Beau doesn’t just fix cars—he fixes broken pieces of people, even when he doesn’t mean to. He’s quiet, commanding, and absolutely unforgettable. And when the “Daddy” dynamic slips out? Game over. The chemistry between them is explosive, but it’s the undercurrent of devotion and intensity that makes this book so unputdownable.
What I loved most is that while the story sizzles (and trust me, it does), there’s also a vulnerability that runs through it. Both characters are escaping their own versions of destruction—cancel culture for her, the weight of secrets for him—and finding unexpected safety in each other. Beau’s brand of protection isn’t just about control; it’s about cherishing her when she feels at her lowest, and showing her she’s not disposable.
Wyatt blends small-town charm with heat that could melt steel, creating a story that’s as much about claiming love as it is about surrendering to it. If you love protective, dominant heroes with a hidden tender side and heroines who find their strength in unexpected places, Rough Daddy is your next obsession.

She is fleeing from her life. She grew up in front of the lens her parents having monetized her on social media. When cancel culture comes for her she is ready to be done with it all, this isn’t the life she wants for herself. She doesn’t know what she wants and when her car breaks down and he is her rescuer, he stirs something in her that makes her want something different. He sees her right away, his little obsession, and he is ready to pick her up and take her home with him. They are strongly attracted to each other, but he keeps pulling away, as much as he wants her choices from his past makes him think that he is not worthy. But being around her calls to everything in him and it is hard for him to resist. This is a quick read story you don’t expect a lot of complex character development, or overly detailed plot lines. This one has a few little hidden Easter eggs otherwise it’s a pretty straightforward plot. He is all big hunk of alpha male and she is craving feeling safe and protected for the first time in her life. When he is ready to go all in, he goes all in and there’s nothing he wouldn’t do for his baby.

ROUGH DADDY is Book 4 of the REAL DADDIES: Boone Brothers series. And I think this one melted my Kindle...holy hotness 🔥🥵. This is a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, age-gap, opposites-attract, grumpy-sunshine, forced-proximity, double virgin, stalker-lite, DDlg, girl gets her mountain daddy romance. Tessa is an 18-year-old child influencer having a breakdown after she experienced a scandal and cancel culture. She has no family support except her younger brother as she has been exploited and abused by her parents. She decides she's leaving the city and ends up in the small town of Wildfire after her Tesla dies. Beau is a 44-year-old hunky, grumpy, mechanic who has been low key obsessed with Tessa. When she ends up broken at his shop, giving a fake name, he thinks it's fate. He takes her home offering her his guest cabin. Things get pretty steamy, but Beau is afraid he's going to hurt her. And what happens when she finds out he has known who she was all along? The chemistry between these two was pure fire and we got an amazing HEA after some drama and angst. Now, I have to read the first three books in the series. If the rest of the Boone Brothers are as hot as Beau, I might need a new Kindle!
Influencer? Not Anymore! Exciting. Tessa is hiding from the world after the threats she received. She has dyed her hair and changed her name to Tina when the huge man offers to help her in the town of Wildfire. Beau knows exactly who she actually is because he’s been in love with her for months. He has stalked her social media accounts and knows everything, even what isn’t posted. When they confess their love for each other everything is perfect. Until she sees all the texts from her younger brother, Ethan. Then when Tessa goes to use Beau’s computer she finds all the files he has on her. HE KNEW WHO SHE WAS FROM THE FIRST MOMENT THAT THEY MET! He explains and tells her they will go get Ethan, together. But, she feels like she needs time to process and handle her parents alone. She leaves Beau a note and takes his truck. OH, NO SHE WON’T! Will he catch Tessa in time?

Rough Daddy by Dani Wyatt is the next book in her Real Daddies: The Boone Brothers Series. It can be read as a standalone, however you will get more enjoyment reading the other 3 books first. 😉 I was waiting for grumpy Beau's story! We got glimpses & laughs from him in the other 3 books. This is an ägë-gäp (26 years... she's 18, he's 44), opposite-attracts, Daddy Dom Protector (no age play/regression), ṣïże ɗïffërëṅcë (in all the very best ways 😏), ɗịrṭƴ-ṭälƙẹr, small town life, blue-collar worker vs social media influencer, grumpy/sunshine, dual virgins, found family (Tessa brings her younger brother Ethan into the Boone Family), safe internet stalking, very much ṣëxƴ times 🥵🔥💋 (outdoor stone oven scene & work bench scene!) romance with an HEA & future epilogue.
Finding out you have fallen in love with your stalker is a bit much, but Beau and Tessa managed to wade through the waters. I would have been terrified forever! Beau was able to make Tessa feel safe and secure with him since he already knew what she was hiding from. Fall in love with the Boone brothers, hate Tessa's family, and experience a bear attack all in this book lol! Definitely a page turner and maybe even pull at your heart strings with Tessa's brother! Daddy/little girl dynamic throughout the book and pregnancy/milking at the end.

Age gap romance. Tessa is a young influencer forced to disconnect following a new scandal. She then finds herself stranded in a small mountain town with a beautiful mountain man. Beau is a wounded man living in the mountains and working in his garage. For some time now, he has been following a beautiful influencer on social media, so when she breaks down in his small town, he does everything he can to help her, even hiding the fact that he knows her. Will Tessa and Beau have a beautiful story, or will the secrets between them tear them apart….

I’ve not read other daddy books, so I don’t have a comparison. I struggled with the FMC being 18 years old despite her intelligence and challenging upbringing (these making her more mature) It was a short story so the pace was fast. The story lightly touched on a few topics, neurodivergent, parental control, submissive, controlling MMC, troubled FMC, virgin. It’s a story, it flowed well, if you like this genre then I think you will enjoy it.

Wooo. I'm done. This was so good. Like, I want more. Seriously. I love an obsessed, stalker MMC. Beau was perfect for me. Lol. He was completely gone for Tessa. Then she ends up in his town? He is not gonna let her leave. I loved them both so much. Great characters. Tessa was sweet but also had a lot of strength. Beau was the perfect daddy to her. Now I need to go back and read the rest of the series.

Beau is a OTT Alpha Male. Tessa is a nerdy princess. She's a social influencer changing her career path and he is a hot mechanic. The stats align and they have their meet cute. I love their story. I love each book in this series. All the brothers are hot, possessive, over the top alpha males who would do anything to protect their woman. And the show their woman how much they love and appreciate them. This is by one of my favorite authors. Her books are on my re-read list.
Tessa is running away from her family and problems. When she gets to the small town of Wildfire. While washing her car she runs into the mechanic Beau Boone. He knows who she is and why she is running but he also knows she is his. This book was one of my favorite. Tessa and Beau work perfectly together and every moment was life changing. From Beau on the way he viewed himself to Tessa knowing when to say no. Dani did an excellent job on the Boone brother series.
Y'all don't understand how much I LOVE Beau. The man is perfect in every way! His story with Tessa draws you in and doesn't let you stop reading until the very end. I'm a sucker for mmcs that are bigger and obsessed with their fmc. Beau was all those things in this story. The story is steamy and entertaining. Beau will have you wanting more and more. I really can't stop saying how much I loved him. All the stars!
This was a good book, I loved the MMC and his possessiveness. I am still confused about why he wouldn't touch her. Who does he break? What happens it never tells us and if it did I must've not read that. Overall a good book, the plot was well written , the HEA nice and the ribbing between the brothers are the best.

I can't quite describe MMC except to say he's a softie despite his imposing presence. He's large and strong, convinced he ruins everything he touches, yet his behavior towards FMC shows otherwise. I am amazed at how obsessed he is with FMC—he could probably identify her with his eyes shut, demonstrating his profound love. Surprisingly, FMC seems to enjoy it. When a Boone falls, he crashes just as hard.

This is book 4 in the Real Daddies: Boone Brothers series and is the shorter and easy to read spicy age gap instalove story of Beau and his obsession and infatuation with Tessa and his determination to make her happy and his. When he gets his opportunity he is all in to give her exactly what and who she needs. Short, spicy, lots of love and a HEA for the couple.

Rough Daddy, book 4 of the Boone Brother’s series by Dani Wyatt @danieyattauthor. Dani writes great books steamy novellas & I expect the same!
Aww! I adored this book about Tessa & Beau! Tropes: Contemporary, Male/Female, Age Gap, Daddy Vibes, Instalust/Instalove, He Falls First, Family Drama, No 3rd Act Break Up & HEA!
You know that you've just read a good book, when you don't want to reAd other books for a while. The characters are so strong and colourful and vibrant, they have taken residence in your heart and you are not willing to replace them just yet....Rough Daddy is that kind of book. One of those you always remember...❤
Age gap was way too high to not be creepy (18/44) & the male character was way too much of a potty mouth for my taste (so many Fuc* & Fuc*ing). Also both being virgins?😒 At least I learned a few things I'm not sure I wanted to know about predatorish parents who exploit their kids celebrity on social medias.🤢

I am all up in my feels right now since I just hit the end of Rough Daddy. Each Boone brother book was a five star read, but Beau and Tessa’s story has a special place in my heart.
But I wanted so much more. The last Boone brother gets his happily ever after. Beau is just as OTT about his woman as his brothers but maybe a lil more…(we love a stalker on page lol). Quick read but the perfect blend of sweet and spicy.
The book was a real page turning for sure. Love how much both main characters suited each other so well. I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves a OTT quick read.

Beau is flipping HOT! This author saved the best for last. Beau and his girl singe the pages and make this book fly by. You won't be disappointed. Maybe we will get a Boone brother book where we can catch up with these men.
