Welp, I picked this one up and didn't want to put it down. The combination of mafia and small town cowboy is where it is at. I mean what more can you ask for than a morally grey cowboy? Yeah, that's what I thought.
Listen, Untamed will deliver everything that you love about Luna Mason. You will get a morally grey MMC who will literally burn the world down for his FMC, a dose of insta love, and a spicy plot. It's always a really good time. What I loved about the one is the bit of suspense. I always love to read a book with a bad guy and try to figure out who it is. And this book had that element so I was in heaven.
There was truly nothing that I didn't like about this one. The vibes were there. The plot kept me engaged. I loved all of the characters and the easter eggs for what is to come. Hunter is morally grey and he will quite literally burn the world down for Lola. She is his light in the dark. Lola has a fun personality and she keeps Hunter on his toes. She also meets his crazy and accepts him and his criminal ways. Hunter's son Wyatt was absolutely adorable. The way he loved Lola like a mother was so sweet to see. And an honorable mentions: Gray the goat.
Luna, I love the direction you are going with this one and I can NOT wait for the next Sterling brother! The easter eggs in this book has me straight feral!

A morally grey cowboy tied to danger, a high-stakes situation hanging over his head, and a woman who walks straight into his world like she owns it had me hooked instantly. What starts as a messy, accidental connection turns into something way more intense when they’re forced into each other’s orbit, and neither of them can really step away.
Hunter is all control and danger on the outside, but underneath he is soft in a way that really hits, especially when it comes to his son 🥺. Lola brings light, chaos, and just enough boldness to match him without ever backing down. Their chemistry is instant and intense, the tension never lets up, and the emotional moments land so well. Add in the suspense, the found family, and those little hints of what is coming next, and I was completely locked in
This book just delivers on every level. It is emotional, fun, and a little unhinged in the best way, and so easy to get lost in. The author has me fully hooked because how does she keep doing this every single time? Five stars, no hesitation.

Hunter might be one of my newest top 5 book boyfriends from Luna Masons universe!
Right from the beginning Daddy Hunter energy was off the charts! The chemistry between him and Lola was so electric I could not stop reading! Plus seeing him interact with his son had me swooning immediately.
I really enjoyed the small town cowboy aspect to this mafia mix but found it was still exciting with the mafia pacing but a touch slower during the first half (more small town vibes).
It was also so fun to see Drago, Enzo, and Conan in this book! I love them all so much and cannot wait for book 2! I called Axe being next up and I’m so so excited!!! 😏

Okay so this was a cowboy/mafia romance which I feel like is very uncommon in the mafia romance world so I was very intrigued going into it and honestly it didn’t disappoint. I was sucked in since the start with this one.. I loved the relationship development b/t the MMC and FMC, the side stories and the spice 🥵 was really good also. Usually I don’t like the single dad storyline but this one wasn’t too bad and I feel like overall the story was very beautifully written. The only harp I’ll give it is the pet names b/t the main characters gotta a little cringy at moments but overall still very cute and enjoyed it

Luna Mason has entered her cowboy era and I’m here for it. It wouldn’t be a Luna Mason story without a mafia twist to it though! Untamed is book one in her all new series Beneath The Reign. Make it a single dad story and I’m sold even more. Being a darker themed book Luna still manages to pack all the insta love, swoon worthy moments and banter into it. One thing this author always does that I love is she always finds a way to bring all of her worlds together. Characters from her past series that you love will always pop up for little glimpses.

The first like 90 pages of this book had me hooked in and I couldn’t put my kindle down. However, these two came together WAYYYY too soon for my liking. Now hear me out, I don’t mind the instant attraction trope, but these two felt such big emotions without actually knowing anything about each other. And whilst I did actually like Hunter & Lola as characters I couldn’t really enjoy their relationship together because it felt so surface level, they came together at around 38% percent into the book and from there on out the book felt off. I am very curious about the rest of the characters in this series and can see why this book is going to appeal to many but it was rushed in my opinion. The characters should have got to know each other more and I would have felt more confident in their love for one another. This is just a personal preference I have when I want to become invested in the main couples romance. Now I’m really intrigued about Harper & Ace’s story for sure as I can sense a second chance romance coming and I need Violets book too because my girl did make me cackle quite a few times 🤭

the concept of the small town, ranch life and cowboys mixed with the mafia suspense and excitement was amazing. add in lots of spice and steamy moments, and you get the perfect blend to keep you entertained.
we get a morally grey mafia cowboy mmc who will burn down the world for her, and the city girl fmc who keeps him on his toes, and is his light in the dark.

but lola & wyatt? ugh my heart. their relationship was so pure and precious. this little boy who is so strong for his age, and just wants love and his family.
plus gary the goat? he’s so fun and i love him.
we get some cameos from characters in the beneath series which i loved, and this story and the sterling brothers set everything up perfect for what comes next.

Okay! Sold!
I've read only one book by Luna Mason, Indulge, which I really enjoyed. But after Untamed? I'm officially a fan of Luna Mason's book and I'm now going to go read more of her books because Untamed was freaking AWESOME! Mason gives us a book that collides two of my favourite tropes ...mafia romance and cowboy romance.

This was great. Cowboys and mafia? Sign me up. Add in single dad and running towards it. Luna did a great job in this new genre while still staying true to her roots. Loved the cameos of the rest of the family.

Okay HOLD ON, mafia boss and cowboy?? Yeah, Untamed had me feral before I even finished the blurb. Luna really said “why choose one morally questionable man when I can give you BOTH in one” and I respect that deeply. Oh and did I mention he's a single dad too? Yeah besties, you're gonna want to read this one.
Our MMC is Hunter Sterling, Head of the Sterling family ranch, that man is dangerous. He’s Cold, powerful, fully capable of violence to the outside world but to his family, his son and Lola he is all protective, soft (only for her obviously).
Our FMC is city girl Lola, she comes from high society, fashion powerhouse but to her that just isn't her calling. So what does she do? She follows her best friend to Arizona on a mission to find herself and what she actually wants to do with her life. It's there that she meets Hunter and her life turns upside down. I loved Lola, she’s strong, emotional, and holds her own in a world that could literally swallow her whole. The “city girl dropped into a mafia cowboy world becoming Hunter’s Firefly and...wife! This consumed me, their connection was instant & electric, like they both knew they were meant for each other. The tension in this book both with the enemies at Sterling Ranch's door, a potential prison sentence, a quick marriage, the Lunaverse character appearances and the new faces that I can't wait to have their stories - Hello Ace Sterling! This book kept me invested and already hungry for more. Shoutout to the cutie that is Wyatt Sterling, Hunters' son and his best friend Gary the goat

Untamed definitely took me by surprise. I have been a huge fan of Luna Mason for a while now and so when I heard that she was making a mafia cowboy romance I immediately knew I had to saddle up for a wild ride. Hunter is probably one of my favorite MMC‘s that Luna has ever written, from his tattoos to his crazy obsession with Lola, his hard exterior, but gooey inside, he truly had me swooning the whole book. I also loved Lola as an FMC. I loved her aesthetic. She was truly giving New York it girl, but I also love that we got to see a different side to her that was strong and independent. I loved that we got to see her give up some of her control to Hunter without giving up her stubbornness and strong will. Hunter and Lola‘s love story is definitely one of my favorites Luna has ever written. I loved their banter and dynamic from the get-go, they started out blazing hot and ended the exact same way and I love that we got to see the family dynamic blossom throughout the book between Lola, Hunter and Wyatt, Lola and Wyatt’s relationship was so beautiful to see and im glad we got to see a lot of their dynamic in the book! I'm glad we got a tiny glimpse into Ace's story, and I can’t wait to go back to Arizona and see what else New Falls has in store for us!!!

Luna…this series is going to be so incredible omg! I never would have imagined cowboy x mafia being one of my new favorite tropes but here we are 🤪. If you’re looking for a really good spicy dark romance with betrayals and plot twists, this is definitely the book for you.
Hunter and Lola’s story is fast paced. Their connection and attraction for each other was instant. But, their relationship was tested multiple times, especially when Hunter becomes a suspect in the murder of the mother of his child. This book had so many twists that I wasn’t expecting, which made this read exciting! Hunter a top tier book boyfriend. He’s super protective and obsessed with Lola. Lola is amazing. I loved her character development and her personality throughout this story.

OMG. Luna Mason you jerk! This book shattered me! I’m just glad you put my heart back together. This is probably the first book in a while that made me feel feelings other than 🥵 spice.
Lola is a model / influencer and does a lot of work with her parents company, “training” to become CEO. But she is told to primarily be the “face” of the company. She would rather be a photographer instead. She moves to Arizona with her bff Violet (who is taking over her uncle’s catering business).
Hunter is the head of the local ranch and also a mob boss. He has 3 other brothers: Beau, Colton, and Ace. (Beau is suspicious from the beginning.) He also has a 6 year old boy, Wyatt.
Hunter and Lola get together. Hunter says immediately that Lola is it for him. Lola is just as enamored but is afraid it’s too fast.
Reese, local attorney and realtor, is her landlord and tries really hard to hard to date her. She gets bad vibes from him and calls him out in front of everyone when Reese puts his hat on her head. Reese then pushes her around the next day demanding she be with him. Lola gets away and goes to Hunter. Hunter goes and beats Reese up saying “he was raised better and no friend of his would act like that”.
Life moves on, there are some Greek mob guys trying to get Hunter to sign a deal but Hunter says no. Beau adamantly tris to get Hunter to sign, but still he refuses. Hunter has a contact look into the Greeks for more information.
Amber, Wyatt’s mom, is unalived and pinned on Hunter. Hunter realizes that Lola isn’t safe without his name, so he marries her. Beau is upset but accepts, as this divides his “share” of the ranch even more.
Lola has to go back to NY for her father’s bday party but she doesn’t want to. Hunter asks if she will keep her rings on while there and she doesn’t think she should because her parents will be upset.
Hunter says some really mean things, and Lola takes her rings off and leaves to the airport. Beau offers to driver her.
At the airport, Beau leaves her cell phone and nabs her to a house no one knows about. Hunter realizes something is wrong and he and Ace go to the airport to find Lola. They find her phone but not her. The info on the Greeks comes back and Reese has been meeting with them, but so has Beau!
Beau nabs Wyatt and brings him to the house. Wyatt helps free Lola and she gets him out the house, telling him to run and don’t stop. She stays behind to distract Beau and Reese.

What in the dark mafia cowboy romance did i just read !?! First of all, thank you so much for this arc Luna Mason and VPR.. second of all,
I am obsessed and even that is an understatement. I love cowboy romances, i love mafia romances, i love dark romances but what do i love more???? A dark mafia cowboy romances!!! Fill my glass up with all these things and you make me happy for life.
I also had the pleasure of reading a arc for luna at the beginning of last year and i already knew then that i loveeed her writing style. And yes with this new series, she did it again.
The chemistry between the mmc and fmc, the family bonding and found family pieces. And don’t get me started on the best friend relationship ship in this book, it made me feel so happy for Lola.
Oh and Luna if you can send some money over so I can buy myself Gary the goat? Because of course i need a goat now 🐐 all the stupid shit that goat did in the book it made me laugh so much 😂

Hunter is a classic morally gray hero with a strong protective streak, but what makes him stand out is how much of his motivation comes from love and responsibility rather than just power. His role as a single dad adds an extra layer that softens some of his harsher edges.
Lola’s position between two men could have felt overly dramatic, but the story keeps the focus on emotional tension rather than just conflict. The marriage of convenience evolves in a satisfying way, especially as trust builds under pressure.
The suspense plot keeps things moving, though some twists feel more predictable than others. Still, the pacing works and the stakes remain high throughout.
Also, Gary the goat deserves an honorable mention.

Luna Mason has the distinct ability to get me hooked in the first chapter. The mysteriously hot cowboy with an even darker persona made this an absolute page turner. The suspense kept me on the edge of my seat and I absolutely could not wait to read more.
Hunter Sterling is everything you want in a morally grey hero - sexy, protective, and dangerous. Lola is his perfect match and kept Hunter on his toes. She went head to head with everything he threw at her and she showed her true loyalty to him when it mattered the most. This was a high stakes, intense, and utterly addictive dark romance. The chemistry between Hunter and Lola was sizzling hot. The best part was the utter trust these two had for each other and how they each saw the other person’s vulnerabilities as a strength rather than a weakness.

These two were incredible! Lola was a force and didn’t let anyone mould her into anything she didn’t want to be. She was done with trying to be someone she isn’t to please others.
I loved their love story from start to finish and couldn’t get enough of the formidable cowboy mafia boss , his firefly and his adorable little man. Their instant connection and love was beautiful.

I was very grateful to receive this book as an eARC, as I have read most of Lunas other books I was really excited to receive this!
However there was something missing for me. I did enjoy the story, but I don’t think I could handle having 2 of my favourite tropes (cowboy & mafia) together in the same character 😂. The spice as always was perfect & I loved lola!! Just couldn’t get along with maffia&cowboy in one🫤

I swear, I had NO idea I was missing this combo in my life more than my next breath 😭📚 Then Luna came in and proved, yeah, this was missing from ALL of us.
I was insanely curious about this story. The moment I started reading, that classic Luna vibe, I was HOOKED. Couldn’t put it down.
Single dad + mouthy city girl… do I even need to say more?? 👀 I fell HARD for the characters. Not just the main ones, but the side characters too, their relationships, their dynamics… I’m already desperate for their books.
BUT LET’S TALK ABOUT THAT BETRAYAL. Because WHAT. WAS. THAT. 💀
I have NEVER experienced something like that while reading. Not even CLOSE. I didn’t see it coming AT ALL. Not even a little bit.
My jaw literally dropped. I almost fell off the couch. I couldn’t breathe, had to put the book down, and just stared at the wall like: “this can’t be real…”
Safe to say, this series has a STRONG start.
That twist hit me just as hard as it hit the characters. Straight to the gut. Left a bitter taste I still can’t shake. Absolutely GENIUS move by the author, and I’m still not over it.
And don’t even get me started on the fact that we already KNOW who the next main characters are gonna be 👀 The tropes?? Yeah, I’m already obsessed.

Another perfect book from Luna Mason! Cowboy isn’t usually my genre of choice but if Luna writes it I’ll read it, and god she did not disappoint, Hunter Sterling the man you are!

3,75… 4⭐️ tô na duvida!
Bom, mas é bem fast love, e eu não sou a maior fã disso. Porém… cowboy + máfia né, não tem como ignorar. Só achei que ele se apaixona rápido demais 🫠
Vários personagens das outras máfias do universo dela são citados ao longo da história, o que eu gosto. No geral, os livros da Luna sempre são legais de ler, mas esse não foi meu favorito.
Ainda assim vou querer ler o dos irmãos, porque mafiosos cowboys têm meu 🖤

I loved this book! Lola and Hunter had this almost electric chemistry that was impossible to ignore. He is brooding and obsessed and possessive pretty much from the first minute he lays eyes on her. I really liked Lola - she was a little sassy and strong but also looking to get out from underneath the weight of her family’s expectations. I also loved her relationship with his son.
There is a good bit of mystery and suspense and I was hooked right from the start!
