The final installment of the award-winning “My Dear Watson” book series catapults into a dangerous game of survival.
Freedom is almost in reach for Autumn and Leo. Their dreams of happiness close to being realized, but at what cost? They’ll need every trick in their arsenal to survive the monsters lurking in the shadows, past and present, who threaten their hopes for a future or die trying.
Far from home, they’ll navigate family politics, unearthed pasts, and new mafia bosses all while attempting to protect each other and their hearts. Except, some wounds will prove to take longer to heal or if ever. How far will the two must run to safeguard what’s been built, including a family legacy neither anticipated they’d guard?
Sarah Marie won’t be the only one coming back from the dead as secrets continue to be unveiled, but the worst betrayal always comes from the people closest. One final time, Autumn must run from New York City…except there’s no guarantee of return.
This if the fourth and final book of a series that follows a singular couple. Please check inside front of book for CWs. No cliffhanger.
Elm Jed is obsessed with creating stories through writing, videos, or painting on random pieces of wood. When they’re not telling their best friend a new story idea from reading a book they hate, they’re playing DND, conjuring spells, playing dress-up, or going for a long drive. They're a Marine Corps Veteran, and love spending time with the Ren Faire family.
They absolutely love their supportive partner and husband, who makes sure they eat between writing and reading the books they collect for their hoard.

Showcasing how BD$M is also healing even if its the "more traditional" way we think of that. Giving Leo the chance to let go, and have someone else make a decision for him, is really great for his mental. There's healing, and trust, and so much love that that man is reminded of as he submits 100% to his wife.
I missed the crew banter, but its not about them. Autumn and Leo aren't even with their normal crew for a good 75%(ish) of the book. So it makes sense that its not there. New bonds are formed through this whole journey, and they're all so nice to see. I loved being able to see other people in the crew get to be happy with their choices.
Now I'm going to do the more spoiler-y stuff:
I'm glad Gabriel got to Roger. Would've loved to see that mfer beg for his life, but alas, it doesn't happen that way.
When Alba called Leo mijo I lost it. As it was just after Leo spent time crying "red" because he wants the nightmare to be over... and all that man wanted was some motherly love. And Alba was able to give it to him, when he really needed it the most. That whole interaction really touched my heart.
Now Gabriel's ending, that mfer deserved everything he got, and probably could've had more done to him, because eff that guy. 🤣
Finding out what Leo was doing the night before he met Autumn made me screech. I'm not saying what it is, I will however continue to say that I'm sending Elm my therapy bills. Because WTF?!
Now that all 4 are out, I am going to reread the entire series.

Perfect book to end a perfect series!!! My emotions were all over the place, and I definitely read it way too fast, but couldn't bring myself to put it down. The details, the research was fabulously done and I enjoyed every part of the "My Dear Watson" series.
