From Adam. From the code he made me write. From the girl who was foolish enough to think his attention meant something. I built a new life. A better one.
And then I found Rex.
But London has a long memory.
One look across a crowded club, and I know Adam hasn't forgotten what he believes I owe him.
He doesn't want the code anymore. He wants me.
Rex London was supposed to be simple.
Show Rahat's family I'm worth keeping. Try not to fall any harder for a woman who's already got me completely wrecked.
But the second I saw her go still on that dance floor, I knew. Something from her past had just walked back in. And whatever it was, it thought it had a claim on her.
The thing that confuses me the most about this book, and the whole series for that matter, is the FMC's on paper are smart and intelligent woman yet they make some of the most dumb decisions I've ever read about. I could look past one mistake but these women do it multiple times! It makes for an extremely frustrating experience. I have enjoyed a couple of the books but this one, Rahat did my head in! Also I know they met in the previous book but there was no showing of them meeting or their interactions. It literally started with them together but from the last book their meeting sounded interesting yet we didn't get to see that. This was such a let down, in my opinion. The spice didn't save it either.
The story of Rahat and Rex is intense. They’re happy together. But Adam threatens the safety of everyone by just…lurking. Adam is probably my favorite character. The Author’s clever use of Adam gave the book an excellent sense of danger and urgency. Rex and Rahat’s chemistry is off the charts wonderful!!!
