With Christmas Eve approaching, marking a year since his former boyfriend cruelly dumped him, all woodworker Declan Munro wants to do is quietly ride out a blizzard in his Cascade Mountain cabin. That hope is dashed when he rescues an ill-prepared snowshoer in the advanced stages of hypothermia. He races him home to warm up and regain consciousness.
Corporate accountant and Miami transplant Tate Crawford feels like he's been transported to the winter wonderland of his dreams, especially when he's rescued by a handsome mountain man. Snowed in, Tate and Declan ski, skate, and sit by the fire together. Heart-hurt Declan fights his growing feelings for Tate, who fears he has nothing to offer in this mountain paradise. Will the two allow themselves the possibility of love?
A Snowshoe Christmas is a fun Little Holiday read. Declan and Tate offer up a pretty lighthearted romance. Even though there is some drama caused by misunderstandings, this still presents a nice little low angst romance read. This was my first book from this author, and I can definitely tell that I will go back for more. My only criticism would be that the first couple opening pages were a bit roughly written, and awkward to read through. This book could also benefit a good read through from an editor.
A perfect holiday read. Great pacing, smart dialogue, and plenty of Pacific Northwest charm will make a reader long for their own cozy fire, loyal pup and winter wonderland to share with a handsome stranger.
took a break from murders to read my gay Hallmark Christmas softcore books from the virtual library. Two adorable guys get stuck together for the holidays sounds like a Hallmark Christmas plot and then one runs away but then he comes back and they live happily after.

This was okay. I liked the basic premise, but the insta-love was a bit much, although I did like both MCs. I just wanted to see a little more of their story instead of it just happening so quickly and easily.
DNF @67% ... dialogue was awkwardly unnatural, story was meh, and then it lost me when the big climax turned out ot be a misunderstanding/no-communication trope. 🙄
I don't typically read romance novels but this one caught my eye. I enjoyed the setting and the pacing. There was just enough tension to keep me turning the page. Well written and a most enjoyable read.
