Rock City Renegades #3

The Interception

Rate this book
Theo

Since I was a kid, I’ve only wanted two to be a professional football player and to have a family of my own. Being drafted by the Rock City Renegades was the first step, but now I’m ready for the rest. I have the house and the rescue dog, who’s proven to be a bit of a menace for everyone other than my crush, Finley Bolton. So when I find myself needing someone to watch him while I’m away, moving her in is the most logical option. She may be pregnant by another man, but it doesn’t take long for her and the baby to etch their names into my heart. I want a life with them, but will I be able to break down Finley’s walls and prove that I can be the man she needs, or will she pack up and obliterate every dream I’ve ever had?

Finley

Getting pregnant by my casual hookup wasn’t on my bingo card for the year, but that’s exactly what happened. He’s made it crystal clear that he doesn’t want anything to do with us, which leaves me scrambling to pay for everything on my own. So, when Theo Calloway asks me to dog sit after I’m unexpectedly fired from my job, I have no choice but to take him up on the offer. Right away, he begins caring for me, blurring the lines between friendship and something more. I said I wouldn’t catch feelings—sure that I’d be better on my own. But when he steps up, showing me what my baby and I deserve, will I be able to move on and protect myself from the heartbreak I’m so used to?

You’re probably thinking “Cee? A “not his baby” book that you actually enjoyed?” And yes. Absolutely. If they were all written like this one, I’d read them all. The absolute standard for this trope for me now. I regret nothing. Full RTC!

______________________________

If anyone can convince me to read and love a “not his baby” trope book, it’s going to be my Smut Mommy™️, C.L.Rose. Yep. You heard that right. I have absolutely no reason to hate the trope other than picking up one a few years ago, hating it, and never picking it up again afterwards. Well she said “hold my beer” and I’m so glad I read Theo & Finley!

Theo, sweet baby boy Theo. He’s so precious. He’s got the house, the team, the dog, now all he needs is the woman. He’s longed for Finley for a while now, but never had the chance to make his move. Now, he’s stepping up in a big way to be everything she always wanted but didn’t know she could have.

Fin is going through some major changes, so when a new job pops up, and all the pieces seem to be falling into place she just rolls with it. Because why not? Life is changing, it’s time for some stability.

I loved seeing their relationship grow, as well as their friendship. These two really were friends above all else. They took the time to learn about one another, talk, chill, and grow with each other before taking their relationship to the next level.

This book had me tearing up, laughing my ass off (Maddy daddy) and just absolutely swooning for their love. They truly just wanted and had each other. They move quickly, but with everything going on, it just worked for them.

I never got that icky feeling that Fins ex would come back into the picture. I never got the ick from how she got pregnant. I never got an ick from anything here. Theo wasn’t trying to replace anyone, he was just being himself. Stepping up when no one else would to show his girl what she meant to him, and that she was always meant to be his.

Phenomenal. Beautiful. And honestly for me? Life changing. I’m a changed woman.

5🌟, 3🌶️

I knew this book was going to be special, but I wasn’t prepared for how differently it would hit me.

The Interception is soft, emotional, and deeply comforting while still feeling real and grounded. Even as someone who isn’t usually a fan of the accidental pregnancy trope, this story handled it so beautifully that I was fully invested from the start.

Theo Calloway is everything. He is steady, emotionally open, and so intentionally devoted that it made my chest ache. The way he chooses Finley and her baby without hesitation was beautiful to witness, and every quiet moment of care made him feel like home. Finley is strong, guarded, and incredibly relatable, and watching her slowly let herself be loved while keeping her independence was tender and rewarding. Their friends to lovers journey felt natural, built on trust, shared space, and genuine connection.

The pregnancy storyline added so much emotional weight, and the way Theo stepped into that role with patience, protection, and pure love completely stole my heart. The romance balances softness and spice perfectly, filled with longing, gentle devotion, and moments that made me melt. Add in the found family and Theo’s constant reminder that if he wanted to, he would, and this book became an easy five stars.

This was tender, emotional, swoony perfection from start to finish.

Thank you, C.L. Rose & The Smuthood, for the ARC! 😍 All my bookish thoughts are completely my own. ✨

Oh Theo! The man that you are!!! C.L. Rose gives us another amazing book boyfriend to swoon and fall for with Theo Calloway in The Interception.

Theo, Finley and let’s face it… Boner (with his main character energy) completely captured my heart in one of the sweetest stories I’ve read in a long time. I was completely obsessed with these two from the start. The way Theo showed up for Finley at every opportunity was simply heartwarming. I really enjoyed how their friendship grew into a beautiful love. And as sweet as Theo was, he could be as filthy (in the best kind of way). The mouth on that man!!! These two had undeniable chemistry together and served us plenty of amazing spice scenes. Not that I would expect anything less from C.L. Rose. She always knows how to create the perfect mix of swoon, spice and emotions in her books.

The author also gives us plenty of banter between her Renegades players and the girls. It’s always fun to see the camaraderie and support between these teammates and friends. They provided plenty of funny moments as well as cute and emotional ones. I’m fully invested in this team!

All in all, I have to say that with every gestures and “Mama”, Theo Calloway ended up being the perfect embodiment of “if he wanted to, he would” and he’s definitely showed how he’s one of the good ones through and through.

So if you like your book boyfriends to be the best kind of green flags, with golden retriever energy and that are totally down bad for their girl, please read The Interception. I, 1000%, recommend!!

I would like to thank C.L. Rose for the opportunity to read and review The Interception.

2.5⭐️ my tagged shelves and tropes at the bottom can be spoilers

Ok so I was REALLY looking forward to this sports romance. I absolutely love the pregnant fmc x mmc not the dad trope. Unfortunately, this one just didn’t work well for me :(

What I liked: the found family. I haven’t read the earlier books in the series but previous couples and characters from them are very prevalent in this one and I always love seeing that.

What I didn’t like: it was too insta love. Now if you know me, that’s probably a shocking sentence to read in a review of mine. But the super quick connection and hooking up and falling in love was just way too fast for me with the situation Finely was in. I’m all about suspending my reality when reading romance books, but this just took me out of the story. Additionally, Theo was throwing out phrases like “mine” and “both my girls” before there was ever a discussion about how he and Finley feel about each other or about him being in her unborn daughter’s future life. I just couldn’t stop thinking how unrealistic that was unfortunately. Additionally, the writing for Theo just didn’t do anything for me. I didn’t feel any true connection to him :/ Also his dog’s name was “Boner”…

Overall, I probably would have been better prepared for the letdown if I had read the earlier books in the series but my mood reader brain simply saw “pregnancy storyline” and latched on. If you’ve read and loved the other books, then I think you’ll probably enjoy this much more than I did.

Tropes:
- football player
- giant green flag
- fmc pregnant / mmc not the dad
- shitty ex boyfriend
- teammates as found family
- roommates to lovers
- very quick burn
- he falls first AND harder
- breeding kink
- lactation kink
- dog dad

Thank you Smutthood for the eARC. Review is my honest opinion

Back in C.L. Rose’s Renegades world, and this one was a cute, spicy read that was easy to settle into. Familiar setting, low stress, good vibes overall.

Finley’s story kicks off with a fling gone wrong. She hooks up with Eric, a regular at the club where she works, and ends up accidentally pregnant. From there, things snowball—she’s suddenly facing single motherhood, losing her job, and even her place to live. It’s a rough situation, and that’s where Theo comes in. He’s been quietly crushing on Finley for a long time after seeing her at the club, even if she had no idea.

Theo was easily my favorite part of this book. He shows up consistently, helps where he can, and lets things unfold at a comfortable pace. I liked watching their friendship grow before it turned romantic—it felt natural and unforced. And while Theo is genuinely sweet, he’s definitely not boring. The chemistry between him and Finley was strong, and the spice delivered. As expected, C.L. Rose balances heat and emotion really well without overdoing either.

One thing I really liked was how uncomplicated Theo made everything surrounding the pregnancy. There was never any hesitation or debate in his mind—stepping up to be that baby’s dad was a given. He didn’t treat it like a decision or a sacrifice, just something that made sense if Finley was part of his life. He never tries to replace anyone or prove anything; he’s simply there, steady and dependable, treating both Finley and her baby like they matter.

Overall, this was a sweet, spicy, easy read with characters that were simple to like. Finley wasn’t my favorite FMC—I didn’t fully connect with her—but Theo more than made up for it. Their story was enjoyable, low angst, and well-paced.

And of course, a quick shout-out to Austin Baker introducing his fist to Eric's face. I love seeing him as a side character even after retiring from the Renegades.

If you’re in the mood for a cute romance with solid spice, a genuinely good MMC, and a familiar world, this one fits the bill nicely.

Theo Calloway. The man that you are. Every time this man says Mama, I melted. This book made me so happy that not only Theo got his HEA but that Finley and her baby did too because they deserved all the happiness.

Theo Calloway was the SWEETEST man there ever was, right up there with Ace baby. This man is selfless, especially when it comes to Finley and her unborn baby. This book was different for me in the sense that Finley is not pregnant with Theo’s baby and the relationship that blossomed between them with this situation, was beautiful and made it seem so natural for them. Theo is all in, in whatever capacity Finley is wanting him to be. Also, we love a man who communicates! The boyishness was so endearing, I loved it.

Finley, this poor girl, just kept getting dumped on by everyone, until Theo swoops in. She was really not expecting much from Theo but he just grabbed her hand and held on tight. This woman was just as sweet as Theo, though. She was trying to take care of him just as much as he was to her.

Their inner monologues had me cracking up, like every C. L. Rose book. The way she writes her characters is so interesting and so unique, I just love it. These two were no exception because I could not get over how freaking cute and sweet they both were. But what really gets me every single book is the spice. This woman’s mind is like nothing I have read. We get an F it moment, but in a gentle way. We get them both taking control and it is so delicious. But the sweetest MMC with a filthy mouth, yes.

This whole book hand me giddy and smiling throughout. The found family, as always, is amazing in this. Not only had Theo stepped up but also the Renegades and their other halves.

Thank you to CL Rose for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Accidental pregnancy romance where it’s not his baby is one of my favorite tropes and CL Rose knocked this one out of the park! Packed with so much incredible emotion, caretaking, and found family. And don’t worry, this one isn’t lacking in spice either 🥵.

This story was fine. It was a bit flat and the characters were ok. Theo was almost too perfect in everything he did and Fin was a bit juvenile. I thought the story was very insta-lust and moved very fast. I was wanting a story with a bit more angst and emotion. This story was very surface level and fluffy.

Only fitting that being post partum caused this review to be a late one but if you know me you know these MMC’s are a love language and reading Finley’s pregnancy journey again felt a little bittersweet knowing my own pregnancy journey had also come to a close 🤍

When Theo Calloway saw Finley Bolton he became instantly obsessed. Little did he know the small details and thoughtful gestures that drew him to her were her way of trying to draw his attention which she never thought she’d achieve. When Fin finds herself pregnant by her situationship who wants nothing to do with her or her baby, golden retriever Theo swoops in to save the day with his dog as an excuse. As the two find themselves in close proximity and both are honest with themselves and with each other about their true feelings love is able to blossom and this little patchwork family becomes so much more.

If you know me you know my type is morally gray but a CL Rose golden retriever MMC JUST HITS DIFFERENT. Theo mfin Calloway is the dreamiest swooniest man and I’m not just saying that because of the pregnancy/ post partum hormones….but Finley girl I would’ve folded like a mfin lawn chair for that man. The growth that not only Finley experienced but Theo showed in this relationship and their journey was so beautiful and heartwarming and it was just like a warm hug wrapped up in book form.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another banger by my bb girl CL Rose. I am so proud of each of these books and characters and am honored that you chose me to be by your side through your journey.

I would like to start out by saying thank you to C.L. Rose and The Smuthood for this ARC in exchange for my honest review!

I absolutely ate this one up!! This was my first C.L. Rose book and now I must go back and read her entire backlog! I was hooked on the first page and my attention never wavered! C.L. Rose wrote a perfectly paced storyline that I am officially obsessed with!

Finley and Theo’s story was so beautiful and heartfelt! I loved watching them go from acquaintances to friends to more.. especially when Theo was straight up just in love with her from the start.

Finley was a super resilient and strong character. Her backstory was gut wrenching and I felt for her immensely. I loved how she much she wanted to do right by her baby from the start.

Where do I start about Theo? He was perfect. He was the perfect caretaker. He was also super relatable and real.. especially since I’m an awkward girly who puts her foot in her mouth often so I just got him 😂. But also hot damn, the man was hot!! C.L. Rose knows how to write a man!!

Believe it or not, this was my first not his baby trope and I was foaming at the mouth for it!! This was so good! I’m obsessed!

Would I suggest this to a friend? Yes! Would I reread? Yess!! Would I like a trophy? Heck yeah!!.. don’t tell my husband 😇😇

Edit on 1/25: I just realized that I have read so many not his baby trope books and I’m obsessed with them but I’m just an idiot disguised as a book girl.

For the most part the book was enjoyable. I loved Theo, that man had me swooning. Although I could relate to Fin, I just kind of found her to be meh. She didn’t do much and then when she had her freak out it made me really mad because how are you gonna do that to Theo when he’s been nothing but consistent and is literally head over heels.😫 I about threw my kindle! Anyways, the found family was done well and I just love how smitten Theo was over both of them. That man right there is husband material. Also, that breeding kink had me um blushing and giggling ngl🤣

I wish they would’ve gotten together later in the book and not so soon. Also, I wish Fin wouldn’t have let her abandonment issues get in her head.

5⭐️♾️: THEO CALLOWAY!!! Top tier book boyfriend! I loved him so much! He is literally the sweetest, swooniest, dirty talking MMC 😍😍🥵😮‍💨. The fact that Finley made him all kinds of tongue-tied and was basically his dream girl was 👌🏻. Loved Finley and you couldn’t help but root for her. Theo was meant to be her light and ended up being such a perfect partner for Finley. Loved that things revolved around Boner getting fired from doggy daycare for being a menace and of course he was a good boy for Finley only 😂. It was fate for Finley to become Boner’s dog sitter. Theo ended up being the most thoughtful and caring MMC 💕. The way he dropped all kinds of pregnancy knowledge on Finley was so endearing and the fact that he loved that baby as his own was everything 🥹. My heart was so happy after this one 🥰. Candice delivered yet again! It was perfect and I’m still completely obsessed with this series!

This might just be one of my new favourite CL Rose books! It’s definitely my fav of this series.

Anything pregnancy is a big win in my book and I really enjoyed Candice’s take on ‘pregnant, but not his baby’. Really, that baby was Theo’s. He was such a green flag and I loved everything about him. He was honest and communicative and just wanted to take care of Finley.

I didn’t quite gel with her as much as I wanted to - BUT she was young and scared shitless, so in the grand scheme of things, a super relatable FMC.

Anyway.. this book was full of delicious Candice-coded spice, funny banter and epic found family! Theo and Finley were such a cute match and addition to the Rock City fam!

Thank you Candice and team for the arc 🩷

I just finished and I am still a puddle of emotions. I’ve read every single book Candace has every written and loved them, but this book has officially become my favorite.

I thought I’ve seen a man be down bad, but I hadn’t seen anything until I met Theo and saw him with Finley. The way he was so patient with her, and loved her so fiercely had me swooning. But then you add in how much he loved her sweet baby before she was even born, and he completely swept me off my feet. Any fictional man I read after this will never live up to Theo, because he was the biggest green flag, golden retriever, sweetheart of man that I’ve ever met.

Not only was the romance between Fin & Theo so epic, the found family in this one was next level. Seeing the way Theo’s teammates and all their girls rallied around Finley and her baby from the beginning was seriously so wholesome. Seeing this group love Fin, and continue to show up for her definitely helped her heal a part of herself that she needed. I loved the Renegades family before this book, now not only do I love them more, but I’m sad I will never get to be a part of this friend group. (Also, side note but Austin’s moment to shine near the end of this book had me grinning ear to ear. I love that man and cannot wait for him to get a book). It was also so rewarding to see Fin grow so much throughout her pregnancy, and the birth of her baby. I feel like she never felt like she was worthy of love (which was so heartbreaking bc she was such a Bad Ass FMC). And because of Theo, his teammates, and her kismet meeting with someone from her past, near the end of the book, she was able to finally feel like she was worthy of the good things happening to her, which had me 🥹

I cannot wait for everyone to read Theo & Fins story, get to meet their baby, and see what everyone in this found family group is getting up too.

4.5/5✨
3/5🌶️

Finley had a fling with Eric, a guy who frequently came to the place she worked, with whom she accidentally got pregnant. She never thought that this would be the thing which would lead to so many problems in her life: to be a single mom, to loose her job and accomodation. The only good thing in this craziness was football player, Theo, who was her knight in shining armor, helping her so much with her delicate situation. They were first friends, then roommates, but what happens when both of them were craving more?

If you're lusting for a super lovable cinnamon roll, than you should definitely meet mr. Theo Calloway.🥰 He was the one who fell first and I truly liked how shy he was around Finley in the beginning. That definitely didn't last because they entered into a super cute friendship which nurtured some different kind of feelings. And Fin's pregnancy hormones didn't help at all!🤭 Ohhh, and how darn sweet Theo was that he didn't care at all about the fact that she was carrying some other guy's baby. He was so lost for both Fin and the baby, doing everything he could to make their lives easier.

This was such a cute, spicy and kind of empowering story. I liked how things slowly evolved, how these characters were built and how easy it was to fall in love with them.

Thank you The Smuthoot and author for accepting me for this cute e-ARC!

I’m not sure if I’m more upset about the fact that a woman wrote this or that so many other women rated it so high.

This was nothing more but a patriarchal wet dream.

We get Finely: a poor girl with no goals nor ambitions and no hobbies either, barely getting by. She gets pregnant and even though she doesn’t want to have a kid (at least not at this point in her life), has no means to take care of it and the baby daddy wants nothing to do with her or the child, she doesn’t even consider abortion. Worry not though, her prince is gonna arrive in a fancy SUV pretty much right away.

That would be Theo. A rich, successful man, whose biggest dream is to have a wife and kids. He gets 2for1, when pregnant Finley has the exact right struggles necessary for him to swoop in and move her into his house, so he can live out his picket fence dream. I guess that’s why he immediately starts calling her “mama” and never stops. Including during the sexy times.

Freud would be proud, I guess, but I was just disgusted. Not only because it was incredibly cringy, but also because it was a complete erasure of Finley’s identity. She’s not her own woman anymore. She’s someone’s mama.

We even get a scene of her dancing in the kitchen with a wooden spoon. All that was missing was a frilly dress and some freshly baked bread and the tradwife transformation would be complete.

Of course, we got a third-act breakup that further destroyed her already pathetic character arc. Our poor Finley couldn’t be happy until she was chosen. By a man. Once she was informed there was at least one man in her past who had wanted to choose her, she was finally able to start “healing” (her words, not mine). SHE LITERALLY NEEDED A MAN TO FIND HER WORTHY IN ORDER TO FEEL LIKE SHE IS.

If all of that wasn’t bad enough, we got to the birth, where she obviously suffered a lot without epidural, because why would she take advantage of modern medicine. That wouldn’t fit into our patriarchal wet dream, where a woman’s value is measured by the extent of her sacrifice.

It’s also why she was ready to get pregnant again right after postpartum (which goes against everything we know about female bodies and their need to recover after such an ordeal). Well, who could blame her, really, when she saw her man change a diaper and was immediately so impressed with such an incredible achievement, she decided to give him “as many babies as possible”.

Are you all for real with loving stories like this, especially in this political climate?!

The only redeeming quality is the found family but it’s not enough to save this book from a type of patriarchal propaganda the Heritage Foundation would salivate over.

Candice strikes gold again! How in the hell can one person just knock every single book out of the park, because she sure as shit does. I have actually never read a “not his baby” trope book before, and I really had no expectations… but whew Theo Calloway is the DADDIEST of all DADDIES 😮‍💨 The way Candice wrote Finley and Theo’s story was so sweet and pure, yet raw and real. I’m truly a SUCKER for a good breeding kink, and holy moly the breeding kink to go both ways… I was so invested. I know going into a C.L. Rose book, I’m going to get the best spice, hands down.. and this one was no different.. what made me smile though was the gentleness and care from Theo in those moments. I just truly loved everything about this book.. it was written SO well and made my heart so unbelievably happy. I hope that every single woman in the world that finds themselves in Finley’s shoes, finds their Theo (and Boner of course)!

First off, a BIG thank you to C.L. Rose and The Smuthood for allowing me to be an ARC reader for The Interception.

Where do I begin? Sooo…it was like Miss C.L. Rose had the audacity to look me in the eye and say, “your dignity ends here. you will be feral. you will like it.” And then I liked it…

Theo is a walking green flag wrapped in muscles, attitude, and a mouth that absolutely knows what it’s doing. Finley has more restraint than I’ll ever have because I would have folded by chapter 3.

Every time Theo uttered the word “mine” ovaries exploded around the world and many a pair of parties melted. Call the fire department. We have an emergency. Smokey the Bear can’t even help contain this fire. 🔥

Congratulations. I am not the same person I was before reading this. I’ve been intercepted, emotionally compromised, and I would absolutely let it happen again.

The Interception by CL Rose eARC review 🏈💜

Is this my new favorite CL Rose book? Yup, I think it is. I am a sucker for a golden retriever MMC and Theo Callaway is a walking green flag with a dirty mouth who I couldn’t get enough of. Okay, let’s be real.. I still can’t and will be thinking about him for the foreseeable future.

This book is the perfect example of why Candice is an auto buy author for me 🤭. This story is everything. It’s sweet, emotional, heartfelt and heartbreaking and can we talk about the spice because holy shit I was sweating. Theo Callaway and his filthy mouth and kinks… ooooofffff 🫠 HOT!

Finley is just a sweetie and deserves the world, thank goodness she finds a man that wants to give her just that. 🥹

What to expect:
🏈 Accidental Pregnancy (Not his baby)
🐾 Friends to Lovers
🏈 Forced Proximity
🐾 Golden Retriever MMC
🏈 Caretaking
🐾 Breeding/Pregnancy Kink

Thank you so much CL Rose for the arc!

Pregnant FMC • football player • forced proximity • he takes care of her •

Lawd have mercy! We all need a Theo Calloway in our lives!

Loved it!!!

Finley finds herself pregnant, jobless, and homeless. Queue Theo, the hunky football player who’s been pining for her for a year. He saves the day by insisting she become his dog sitter. Once finding out she’s homeless now as well, he convinces her to stay in the guest room.

We get to “watch” as they fight their attraction and feelings grow.

Finley represents a lot of women who are afraid to let someone love them and take care of them, for fear of being left behind.

Theo is that woman’s dream - confident where it counts, loving, caring, honest. Absolute. Perfection.

Filled with banter, emotions, football, family, and plenty of mouth-watering spice!

Theo, what can I say. He restored my faith in men, he is so hot!!.. He would do anything for Finley, to protect her and the baby. But also has a kinky side. So he is a good mix of kind, loving, protective and a filthy mouth. They have a really good connection and banter going on and I love that. What started as friends, even though they always had a bit of a crush on one another, becomes more eventually.

As always this serie is getting me back on a good reading track, it's the kind of book that is light hearted and you don't want to stop reading. So I almost finished it in one sitting, but sleep was needed lol.

Theo Calloway is perfection!! This is hands down my favorite CL Rose book. Theo is the most thoughtful, down bad MMC and he had me swooning and sweating throughout this book.
Candice writes FMCs that are such badasses and Finley is no exception. She has been through so much. She finds out she’s pregnant from a situationship and decides she will do anything for her unborn baby. Theo has been pining for Finley and wants nothing more than to be there for Finley. He is so thoughtful and sweet and instantly wants to claim her baby as his own.
The found family in Candice’s books are just chef’s kiss! The banter is hilarious and the way they all rally around each other is just the sweetest! I am just obsessed with this series and I can’t wait to see what’s next!

Thank you CL Rose for the arc!

This is my first C.L. Rose book and she definitely did not disappoint on this book! I literally could not put it down! After I read this book I started to go back and read her book!!

Finley is completely surprise to find out she is pregnant but the baby’s father wants nothing to do with the baby! Also to makes matters worse she gets fired from her job and she gets kick out of her apartment. But finally her knight and shining armor swoops in to saves her! I cannot say enough words about Theo, the way he is with Finley made my heart giddy for her. He treats her like the queen she is. O by the way he calls her mama! Plus the mouth of Theo like 🥵🥵🥵 I can’t say enough on that topic! Not only does Theo fall for Finley he falls for the baby too! This book will make you cry and it will make you laugh!

If you have not read this book or series you definitely should you will not be disappointed!!

All you need to know is that calls her mama over 50 TIMES!! Yes I went through the book and counted! That’s it read this book!

Honestly this book perfect. I don’t think I even have the words to say how much I loved it. Theo was down bad for his girl and showed her everyday how much he cared. Finley was guarded and reserved but when she finally let Theo in she was done for. This book is full of great one liners, moments that make you cackle and even some parts that had tears in my eyes. I don’t know how C.L. Rose continues to put out banger after banger but she does and I’m here for it. I can’t wait to see what’s next in this series.
