Lani and JV
I loved Lani and JV! These two went to the mat for and behind each other, even when things were shaky. JV was the MVP when it came to the twins...it was definitely Stepdaddy Season. I started this and realized I'd read it before, but I kept reading because why not? Happy Reading Y'all!💋

this was my first book by the author and it won’t be the last! i really enjoyed this book from start to finish! i loved the chemistry between the two MC! Both the MC showed so much development that you couldn’t help but root for the two! What happened in Vegas, stays in Vegas right? Maybe not.

The closer I get to the end of this catalog, the sweeter and most heartfelt the stories get!!!…
Lani and Jayous kept me laughing, even when I know they were serious!!!…
I loved the way their story developed to how it ended, because the drama was there and Lani stood on business!!!…
A single mother on her hustle accidentally married a womanizing man who thought settling down was a foreign concept, until it wasn’t!!!…
The bond that JV built with Lani’s children was so beautiful and I love how they adjusted so well to him!!!…He didn’t allow Pharoah to run over Lani, even when he was trying to play in her face!!!…
I was glad he put a period behind the relationship he had with father, especially after finding out how he did the woman he now knows is his mother!!!…
Uncle was definitely a positive part of his growth and development and I’m glad that relationship continues to flourish!!!…

Locked In
This book was the epitome of making lemonade out of lemons. Kehlani, was up there trying to be a friend and got lied on and shaded. The trip wasn't a total lost because she got JV out of it. Now their road in the beginning was rocky until they got to know each other and feelings grew.
They rocked hard for each other and checked the world on their own and each others behalf. They were locked in and enjoyed how after a while they talked things out and made great work of makeup sex. JV, had so much going on, my head was hurting because dude couldn't catch a break. Bogus dad and clingy exes. I am happy he finally laid hands on his dad though because he was doing too much for no reason at all.
This was a good read and I was chuckling and fussing all at the same time.

I am going to read it agin because I did enjoy reading it previously! My Review from 2024:
I enjoyed reading about JV and Lani’s love journey after waking up married in Vegas. I wasn’t surprised when Lani ended up being pregnant with the way they were always getting it in. I like how Lani set her boundaries and demanded respect from JV towards being the only woman in his life and how JV cut the other women off immediately. JV played no games when it came to Lani not even from his own father. Pharaoh was so trifling to me for putting his kids out of the house and neglecting them because Lani moved on with her life. Pres was more of a father figure to JV than Jerry and JV made the right move with firing Jerry. I love how JV, Lani, Si, Joce, and Legend are one big happy family along with Pres, Phyllis, Celeste, Nique, Granny, && now Lani’s Dad.

Only If It’s You
Man this was a whirlwind, crazy ride! I loved every part of it. Can’t nobody say Kehlani wasn’t a super mom, strong woman and entrepreneur! She is also stubborn, an over thinker and a cry baby lol 😂 JV made a complete turn around. I felt like he had some of those stubborn qualities that Lani had and he kept putting himself in positions that could’ve went badly! Now I live his new team of people and Unc never switched up! Dominique was that cousin/brother you need and Celeste was the best friend/sister we all pray for! The matriarchs were amazing especially granny! Zoey needed more than what she got! A great read!

Unexpected marriage that turned into love!
Unexpected Love. This book had such a great storyline filled with so many unexpected twists and turns that kept me wanting to read. I thoroughly enjoyed how the author kept me invested in JV and Lani's story. JV character development was great. I'm glad he finally stood up to his father.
I want more. This was a great sports romance.

BDE For Real
I absolutely loved JV! Once he got out of his own way emotionally he was that MAN! The way he loved Lani and the twins, OMG, so sweet.
He definitely stepped up to other man that they all needed and deserved. Oh, and his daddy ain’t s***!
