I've been a fighter all my life. I never back down. I don't fold. But him? One touch from him and my resolve instantly disintegrates.
BO
You might call me mean, evil, maybe even diabolical. I'll take all that because I only care about her. Nothing and no one else. She's all that matters, and I'll do anything to make her mine...again.
Memphis is an erotic dark romance with elements of suspense.
Thank you NetGalley, Alexandria House, and Tantor Media for the ALC!
Memphis is the exciting second book of the Three Kings Series, and Alexandria House gives us a story packed with action, love, and so many surprises that I couldn't put it down!
The book is mainly about the strong and complicated relationship between Memphis and the very driven man named Bo. Memphis, even though she tries to act tough, is a mix of soft and hard, although she tries to pretend she has not one soft bone in her body. She's a good character because her strong shell breaks when she's with Bo.
And then there's Bo. He is definitely extreme and maybe beyond unhinged, but that intense focus is why I love how he never gave up on what he wanted. He chased Memphis with a passion that was great to read.
The plot was a wild journey. This story had so many twists and turns that I didn't know if I was coming or going. As soon as I thought I had everything figured out, I was completely wrong! It was fast-paced and kept the suspense high the whole time.
I was especially drawn to one side character. I need to know more about Umber, ASAP!!! Her story sounds fascinating, and I am really looking forward to the next book that focuses on her.
On the flip side, there is one character who plays the villain perfectly: Bo's mama is pure trash and deserves to go beyond hell! Her terrible actions cause a lot of problems, which makes the happy ending for Bo and Memphis feel even better.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait for book 3! If you like a strong romance with lots of drama and big surprises, you should definitely read Memphis.

The voices used for Bo and Memphis were perfect; the narrators, Wesleigh Siobhan and Winston James, completely captured Bo's intense and slightly chaotic energy, while also giving Memphis the strong, guarded tone she needed. The performance made the emotional scenes even more impactful and the tense moments even more gripping. I highly recommend listening!
The second book in the Three Kings series by Alexandria House was another hit for me! The narrators do such a great job with her writing. They make me feel like I'm apart of the plot. There was a bit of a build up to this story that took a little time to set up but once we got to the "ooohhh" moment I was all in! Thanks for this ALC NetGalley!
