A quick winter survival tale about a group of campers that decide to hike the Sierra Mountains during a ferocious snowstorm. The very same mountains the Donner Party got stuck on back in the late 1840s.
This was really fun! It felt a lot like William Golding's classic tale, "Lord of the Flies", but with a bit more horror added in. I really enjoyed seeing how these characters handled this situation and it left me wanting to seek out more of this author's work!
Highly recommended.

Solid, entertaining survival horror. Teenage campers get lost on a mountain range and fight the elements and each other. Fast paced and fun.

First thing I want to say is thank you to Fathom Press for reprinting this classic. I think it's awesome that companies like Fathom Press bring old books and give them new life.
This is my first time reading this 1989 story about some councilors and a group of kids take a nature hike though the wilderness and an unexpected catastrophe sends them all on a fight for survival.
