Omega Knotted By Rival Packs: A Steamy Small Town Why Choose Romance

Rate this book
One backpack. One burner phone. One failing suppressant patch.
And three alphas who can scent exactly what I am.

I’m a runaway omega. No pack. No rules. No one to claim me.
Blackvale Falls was supposed to be my refuge—a sleepy mountain town where no one knew my name.

I lasted three days.

Three days before Damien Moon’s dark eyes pinned me like prey.
Before Jeremiah Allclaw’s steady hands made me forget why I ever ran.
Before Ernest Fall’s feral grin promised ruin and safety in the same breath.

They say they’re protecting me.
That an unclaimed omega in their territory won’t survive alone.
They drugged me. Dragged me to a cabin in the woods.
Told me it was for my own good.

Now I’m trapped with three rival alphas whose control is fraying by the hour—
a doctor with secrets, and Molly the therapy dog who’s the only one I trust.

My heat is coming. My past is catching up.
And this these alphas might be my only saving grace… until one of them breaks the rules.

A dark, high-heat Omegaverse romance with small-town secrets, obsession, and the kind of surrender that changes everything. Cassie's story concludes in Book 2 Omega Claimed By Rival Packs.

I loved the idea behind this book—it had so much potential! But honestly, I didn’t care for any of the alphas. None of them really tried to understand Cassie, and it ended up being a lot of steam without much story. The “we’re protecting her” justification for kidnapping felt weak—more like they each had their own selfish motives. Hopefully book two brings more depth.

I think this book has a great concept and would be a really nice pallet cleanser between long reads. But as a long-time omegaverse reader, there were quite a few confusing moments in this story which tells me that this author may not be as familiar with the genre. For example, I believe this is a non-shifting omegaverse as the characters never shift. But their pack structures reflect the wolf shifter sub genre and there are wolf/wolf pack references made throughout the story. So I’m not sure if they are wolf shifters or not.

The majority of this book is about the omega FMC’s heat, but the elements of her heat are not consistent with typical omegaverse stories nor is there a disclaimer or world explanation at the beginning of the book to explain the dynamics in the story.

Also, the blurb makes it seem like the beta MC will play a stronger role and have a relationship with the FMC. He does not have a relationship with the FMC nor does he join her heat so it felt like the blurb is a little misleading.

Lastly, I think the author tried to make the ending seem like a betrayal, but it was not believable in my opinion. Instead, the ending felt like a miscommunication or misinterpretation on the FMCs part and not actually a betrayal.

i wanted to love this. i actually really thought that i would love this because the summary and artwork pulled me in immediately, but now i just feel misled and confused.
cassie is a tinyyy bit annoying.
i feel like we didn't get to know the MMCs that well at all, except for maybe Ernest (he definitely felt like the author's favorite).
& the friendship with Katy felt extremely rushed and forced. why are they acting like lifelong best friends who would walk through hell for each other when they're still practically strangers? it just didn't feel authentic at all.
also.. i went into this thinking there would be 4 MMCs - 3 alphas and 1 beta. that is not what happened.
Molly (the dog) was more prominent in the books than any of the men were, which i mean.. dogs are better than men, so no complaints there.
& last but not least, this felt like it was written by someone who had only ever had 1 brief conversation about OV and just kinda ran with it. so many inconsistencies and things that truly just did not make sense.
are they wolf shifters? i don't think so, but the author makes it sound that way quite a bit.
how long does this girl's heat last? i literally have no idea. one chapter she's riding out the last of it, the next chapter she's suffering the worst of it. does she just stay lucid for the majority of it in this author's version of OV? idk. we need more context about how the author views OV and what to expect so that it makes more sense because this was very confusing in comparison to other books i've read in this genre, and i've read a lot.

In this first book of a duet by Ilaria Graves, we meet Cassie, an omega who is running from a disturbing home situation. She is on suppressants and feels like she never wants to be claimed by a pack and be submissive. She ends up in Blackvale Falls and is wanted by not one alpha, but three alpha pack leaders and a beta with a rescued golden retriever. Cassie is kidnapped by them in order to keep her safe from other packs who will claim her as she goes into heat.
This book has everything you are looking for: beautifully written characters, an emotional storyline and just the right amount of angst and steam to keep you turning the pages. Watching their push and pull, their heartfelt promises to keep her safe, the chemistry, and the desperate attempts to stay away from each other make it so intensely satisfying when they finally give up the fight.
If you are a fan of OV books plus reverse harem, you will enjoy this book. This book ends in a cliffhanger, leaving the readers to wonder who Cassie can really trust to keep her safe. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I enjoyed the writing style of the author, but there isn’t really a lot to the story. Cassie comes to town and is abducted by three “alphas” because she, an “omega,” is about to go into heat and they want to protect her. As someone who has never read a book in an “omegaverse” I was a bit lost as to what it all meant. Just a bit of a primer at the beginning would have been nice. And while I’m sure there was a reason the author kept Cassie’s reason for coming to town a secret it just left me confused as to why Cassie was so combatant against the guys. A good deal of the book deals with Cassie suffering through her “heat” and, again, a bit of explanation would have been nice. Having said all that, I still found myself wanting to know more and am curious how things will play out with the five characters.

Caught Between Alphas

I liked this book but found myself a little confused at times. It wasn’t quite a traditional omegaverse, yet it also wasn’t shifter-based since no one actually shifted. I suppose it’s more of a hybrid, as wolves were mentioned but never fully explored.

Cassie is an omega on the run who finds herself in Blackvale Falls. Unbeknownst to her, the small town sits right in the middle of several pack territories. When her suppressant patch starts to fail, she unexpectedly goes into heat—and that’s when things spiral.

Cassie is kidnapped by three different pack alphas, each claiming they’ll protect her—from one another, and from themselves.

This is book 1 of Blackvale Falls (Contemporary Omegaverse Series) and it is absolutely stunning. The plot was intriguing and exciting and delicious. World building was excellent and expertly wielded. The characters really drove the story. They were all extremely likeable and well developed and perfect together. Very steamy and seductive. Recommend. Can't wait for more from this series.

Grab a copy, kick back and enjoy!.

This is a steamy reverse harem story but ends in a cliffhanger. Cassie runs away from home but end up with three alphas saying they will protect her. But will they when she goes into heat. This is one of those books you need to read.

I loved this book !

I loved how each of the guys start to change through out the book and im hoping Ernest isn't with her mom's plan . October 16th can't come fast enough. I also love how strong Cassie is even during her heat. But after awhile she starts to embrace her nature. And deep down maybe she does want a pack . 🤔

The problem with omegaverse books is that the authors understandably sometimes want to make the omega a “strong, independent, woman” and the whole relationship is consented, yet instead, the fmc is so entitled and bratty. That was the case with the fmc here. I didn’t like Cassie, her inner monologue was so repetitive and annoying I didn’t really care for her. Dnf

Stopped reading at 63% honestly it started off quite well, but then everything happened so quickly where the guys kidnapped her as they couldn’t see any other way to keep her safe and I hate alphas like that. The only alpha I remotely liked was Jeremiah. The others were just plain awful. Wouldn’t recommend.

different.

Omegaverse. Reverse harem. Runaway. Small town. Unwanted heat. This is interesting. What happens when she wants something other than what she is? When she rubs and hides and tries every suppressant available? Until finally her heat breaks through in a town with three packs pre variously balanced and perpetually on edge?

3.5 ⭐️

Fast paced story and the characters were alright. Not quite invested enough to immediately read the next book.

Omega Knotted by Rival Packs — Review

This book is straight-up feral omegaverse mayhem, and I devoured every second of it.

Runaway omega? ✅
Three possessive alphas ready to bite? ✅✅✅
Pack rivalry, scenting, and enough growling to register on the Richter scale? Oh, absolutely.

Was there plot? Yes.
Did I care? Only in between the mating tension and territorial chest-puffing.

My only complaint is that the alphas blurred together a bit — but honestly, who’s complaining when they’re all hot, obsessed, and willing to throw hands over her?

4 growly stars. Come for the chaos. Stay for the knotting.

Not your normal omegaverse

I’m a little disappointed that there wasn’t a note in regard to this omega verse. I’m also assuming that they aren’t shifters but it’s confusing when Katy calls them wolves.

I’m confused on why Cassie can’t scent her fated mate or her scent match (some omega verses you can’t scent until their heat hits). I also don’t understand how she kept saying her heat broke but the very next sentence would be that she needs to ride her heat out. Also, during most omega verse heats, the omega isn’t typically fully lucid - unlike this one.

Overall, the book was okay. It’s a quick read.
