Deadly Secrets: Prose and Cons Cozy Mysteries #3

Rate this book
The last thing bookstore owner Helga Henderson expected during the lighthouse renovation ceremony was the discovery of a human skeleton sealed behind a false wall.

But then she discovers the victim was Vincent Langley, a maritime antiques dealer who knew her late grandmother Shirley—and their connection runs deeper than a casual acquaintance. A cryptic photograph shows them together just days before Vincent's disappearance, with a mysterious "Our secret stays with the light."

With her loyal animal companions Watson, Dickens, and Poe providing unexpected clues, Helga teams up with Coast Guard Commander Robinson Mitchell to uncover what Vincent and her grandmother were investigating. As they dig deeper into the lighthouse's dark history, they realize Vincent wasn't just murdered—he was silenced to protect a deadly secret that powerful people would kill to keep buried.

Someone has been guarding this secret for fifty years, and they're not about to let Helga shine a light on the truth. When anonymous threats escalate to direct danger, Helga must navigate treacherous waters between past and present before the killer strikes again.

What a great read. Loads of twists and turns and the amount of historical papers that were read and found before everything came to light. A murder, a lighthouse light turned off and a community that held loads of secrets. What else would you want beside a bowl of popcorn to get you involved in this amazing mystery. Recommend this book to all mystery lovers.
