"Please don't stop trying..."

Charlotte has two problems: She is a twenty-four year-old virgin with an irrational fear of sex and she's seeing a guy who makes her knees weak.

When Christopher gets too close, she panics and pushes him away to keep from being hurt when he eventually finds out her secret fear. She imagines it will be easy to move on without him, but discovers playing hard to get is his big weakness.

Dating a man with Christopher's experience fills Charlotte with fears and doubts, and the rules for dating and hooking up confuse her. But when someone from his past appears, she finds her trust being tested to its limits.

Will their relationship wither under the stress of her fear? Or will the winding path they follow lead to something different... and perhaps even better than she dreamed?

I am not sure I even liked what I just read enough to give this three stars. But there's something about this family of characters that is compelling enough to keep me reading.

This is the story of Charlotte, a 24 yr old virgin who is seemingly traumatized by the thought of having sex, so much so that it's the reason that she chose to break up with Christopher, who we met briefly in the last book.

Christopher is confused and surprised, dismayed, at Charlotte's breaking up with him that his dick continually leads him back to Ashley, his go-to woman for hot sex. She doesn't want a relationship or kids so she's "perfect." While I get that this is an erotic novel, it's supposed to be a romance and I hated reading his scenes with Ashley, whom he runs to and sleeps with whenever things go wrong with Charlotte. On the other hand, it's not surprising that he might do this. Charlotte is weirdly bipolar about the whole sex thing, has a temper like you wouldn't believe, jumps to conclusions and has major communication issues. We also find Christopher to have a temper like you wouldn't believe, and he acts impetuously and also seems to have major communication issues.

All of which drove me crazy, hence the three stars.

And there are the subplots that get introduced but go nowhere.... that seem to involve the doctors at the hospital and Julie's mother and one of the doctor's husbands. It's alluded to in a couple of paragraphs but then ignored. Poor Cathy hasn't found anyone yet.

Feeling some type of way

This story kept me on pins and needles mostly. I want to say I loved the story but several things bothered me. First off the dialogue is good but some times it jumped. Questions were being answered without being asked and a couple of typos. It got smoother towards the end. Secondly, the relationship between Ashley and Christopher made me angry. If you are having such a great relationship with Charlotte, why would you continue to go back to your 'friends with benefits' girl? Then he never even apologized for not telling Charlotte first of his job opportunity but let her take the brunt of it. Although I was rooting for them, Christopher's anger, willingness to be done with Charlotte, and his ego almost made me stop reading. If it were not for a characters death, I would have but Christopher grew up from that situation.
It was a Good read. Enjoyed the family aspect of the book.

4.5 stars for a great return to form for this series.

I was lucky enough to be asked to beta read this book and I really enjoyed Charlotte and Christopher's story, which is a sweet and sexy journey to find themselves and each other.

I really like this author's voice, she creates a very real world full of friendships and intimacy between her characters which I really enjoy.

I look forward to the next book in this series.

good

I was hoping Charlottes story with Christopher was gonna be like Julie and Jacks or even Polly and Kurt but it was still romantic and a totally enjoyable read. A great 3rd book in this wonderful series.
