What a delight, a tear jerker, an emotional roller coaster with the ups and downs and all around of family. Steeped in love, forgiveness, wit, anger, regret, pride, and most of all genius, this book of poetry about Paul Lenzi's many generational Italian family is masterpiece of Pentimento. I could go on and on mentioning my personal favorite selections, but I would sound like I was reading the Table of Contents. I'll let you pick own favs, but one I love most today, will be different tomorrow and the next day and the next and so on. Families share so much and Lenzi's history is so poignant with memories, reflections, and beauty, you will want to refer to it time and time again, never letting go of empathy, joy, and truth. These poems will feed your soul and fulfill your craving for the water and bread of life. This book is as essentIal to the reader as the blood and tears of poet, Paul Lenzi.

Families share so much and Lenzi's history is so poignant with memories, reflections, and beauty, you will want to refer to it time and time again, never letting go of your own family memories with empathy, concern, joy, and truth. These poems will feed your soul and fulfill your craving for the water and bread of life. This book is as essentIal to the reader as the blood and tears of poet, Paul Lenzi. I suggest buying it for family, friends, special occasions to share with those you love. It will open your eyes and mind to areas of your own life that have been hidden in the mists.
