My father didn’t ask if I wanted a wife. He announced it at the dinner table. Now I’m promised to the daughter of the man who should be my enemy. She’s beautiful, defiant, and every word out of her mouth makes me want to silence her. With my hands. With my lips. With everything I swore I wouldn’t give. This marriage isn’t love. It’s war in a white dress. And I don’t know if I’ll destroy her… or let her destroy me.
Sophia
I was raised to smile, obey, and sacrifice. But I won’t go quietly into a life I never chose. My new husband is cold, ruthless, carved from shadows I’ve feared my whole life. Yet when his eyes burn into me, I feel heat I can’t outrun. The closer he gets, the more I want what I shouldn’t. One kiss could ruin me. One night could break us both. And once we cross that line, there’s no way back.
Missy is an Australian author who writes kissing books with equal parts angst and steam. She loves writing stories about billionaires, enemies to lovers, and the boy next door- just to name a few.
When she’s not writing, she’s taking care of her two daughters and doting husband.
Inspired by the acreage she lives on, Missy regularly distracts herself by visiting her orchard… some days more often than writing!
Then there’s her overweight cat, Charlie, chickens, and bees if she needed another excuse to pass the time.
And, when the day ends, there’s nothing better than unwinding with a gin and tonic as the sunsets surrounded by the ones she loves.
Fated Love is Book 4 in the 'Elite Mafia of New York' series. It carries on from the trilogy about Santoro brother, Luca (Cruel Lust, Stolen Love and Finding Love).
Dante, underboss and eldest son of 'capo' Rocco Santoro, is expected to take over when his father steps down - as the head of one of the most ruthless mafia in New York.
He is used to making sacrifices for the good of his family, doing what is expected of him. But he is blindsided by his father's announcement that he is to be married to Sophia, daughter of their rivals, the Vitalis.
After Sophia's brother Alessandro betrays everyone, the heads of the Santoro and Vitali families decide that now is time to end their decades old feud - uniting the two families and consolidating their power through Dante and Sophia's marriage.
But Alessandro might not be finished causing trouble and a bigger threat than anyone imagined...
Dante was hard to like at first. He fought so hard to stay in control, not let his anger out or let himself care about anyone, which made him appear cold and aloof.
Sophia was powerless, forced to marry a stranger who is indifferent to her. She was desperate for a connection, to be seen as more than just a daughter to control and taken for granted. I really felt for her.
But I found myself rooting for them both to let go and open up to each other, and I enjoyed following their journey to find happily-ever-after together. And there was plenty of spice along the way.
Tropes: Mafia, Arranged Marriage, Enemies to Lovers.
Next is Exiled Love - Guilia, the youngest Santoro sibling's story.
3.5 stars I missed the part they got to know each other bcos how can you love somebody you know nothing about. he only talked about his ex, and literally, the next minute, she got kidnapped, and like 2 hours later, they love each other. They should've given Dante at least 2 books. bc lowkey Luca and Emilia's story didn't deserve 3 books. it was so dragged out.
and it's crazy what this author is trying to pull with Guilia and Alessandrio in the next book.
An Emotional, High-Heat Finale That Hits Every Single Mark Fated Love is everything I love about Missy Walker’s mafia romances—intense, emotional, and utterly addictive. This fourth book delivers a perfect blend of danger, passion, and heart, wrapping up the storyline in a way that feels both satisfying and unforgettable. The connection between the characters is powerful from the very beginning. Their bond feels fated in the truest sense—magnetic, protective, and beautifully deep. I loved watching their relationship grow through the chaos around them. The stakes are higher than ever, the twists come fast, and the loyalty within this found family shines through every chapter. And the steam? Missy Walker never disappoints. The chemistry is explosive, but what really stood out is the emotional tenderness woven through those moments. You feel the love just as much as the heat. As a longtime fan of this series, this book gave me everything I was hoping for: closure, passion, danger, and a romance that lingers long after turning the last page. A perfect addition to the series and one I’ll be rereading.
Thank you to @MissyWalkerAuthor for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This book will pull you in so fast and will keep the tension high the whole time. It is dramatic, emotional, and full of intense chemistry that will make you want to keep reading till the end.
Dante and Sophia are a really compelling pair. Dante is closed off and clearly struggling with being forced into a marriage he never wanted, while Sophia refuses to be the quiet, obedient wife everyone expects her to be. Their dynamic is all push and pull, and every scene between them feels charged. You can feel how much they want each other even when they are fighting it.
What I liked most was watching the walls slowly come down. Beneath all the anger and power struggles, there is a lot of vulnerability on both sides, and those softer moments really worked for me.
It definitely leans into the drama, but if you enjoy intense, angsty romances with strong characters and plenty of heat, this is the book for you.
I'm in awe of every book written by Missy!! Dante had come across as a cold hearted and ruthless underboss in the first 3 books of the Elite Mafia of New York. This book has shows the events that lead to the making of the that cold hearted and ruthless underboss. It is gut wrenching to see what he has given up for his family and what he has lost. Sophia a girl raised in the same mafia world but in the rival family, wants to be seen for her smarts and not just property.
Dante and Sophia are forced in to a marriage to bring peace to the two families from the war Alessandro started. It is heartbreaking that Dante thinks he doesn't deserve someone as wonderful as Sophia, and Sophia thinks Dante sees her as property just as her father and brother (Alessandro)! It is beautiful to see how they both open up to each other and realize just how perfectly they are made for each other.
I was so ready to jump back into this family and this world. Ohhh Dante. Sweet tortured older brother of mafia family Dante. Arranged marriage where we get the HEA we crave and need. Dante had severe trauma from lost love in his past that haunts him and Sophia breaks through those barriers. Sophia is the daughter of a mafia don who doesn’t see her value, but once Dante does, there is no unseeing it. This book was great and I loved it!!! Baby sis gets a forbidden love story next and I’m super excited about it.
Dante and Sophia were just the best. That spark and the friction and the banter that came with them made this a must read.
Dante is told he is marrying the daughter of the enemy Sophia but neither is happy about it.
There is an attraction between these two from the start but the heavy denial and bitter hatred is hard to get over. The friction and the forces against them only makes the steamy times more important between them.
Danger, drama, friction and romance builds the plot into a wildfire. This author never disappoints. A truly amazing read.
I didn’t know if I was going to warm to Dante, he’d come across so cold and arrogant in the previous books, I don’t think there was a chance I’d like him, but he’s won me over! So much pressure on him clearly took its toll! Fabulous writing, a taboo deal and some major twists along the way. Sophia really went through it and you could feel how much she just wanted to be her own person. Lots of spice which is always on point from Missy! Great read!! Never disappointed in a Missy book, always wonder where she gets all these ideas! I couldn’t put it down as per!
I started this book then had to put it down over Christmas break, but I kept thinking about it and wondering what was going to happen. Hard headed Dante meets feisty strong willed Sophia and sparks fly! Definitely a fast paced book with a cool twist in the plot. I thoroughly enjoyed the banter, snide comments, sibling rivalry and new relationships formed between people who would have never met if not for the arranged marriage.
This is a fabulous addition to the Mafia series. I am looking forward to reading the next book.
I’ve been waiting for Dante’s book and I was so happy when I saw this book in my inbox! I couldn’t wait to start reading!
Dante’s book was everything I was hoping for! I LOVE the enemies to lovers trope, especially in combination with an arranged marriage! The (pretend) hating and the build up tension is so delicious! Missy managed to create another amazing mafia story, with great characters and great spice!
I loved it and can’t wait for Giulia and Alessandro’s story!
This book was fantastic from start to finish. The story had strong highs and lows that kept me completely hooked, and the emotional tension was done so well. I loved watching the characters grow through every challenge, and the way everything finally comes together at the end felt incredibly satisfying. Missy delivered another powerful addition to the series, and this one might be my favorite so far.
Missy captivating us again. She took Dante the brooding older brother from Finding Love and makes your heart hurt for him. I loved Dante and Sophia’s story and how it grew. I’m highly excited for Exiled Love. Each story is better than the last and I love how you get the updates of the couples in the next story. The chemistry is always great but the way she brings out each character and their individual stories is great.
I was excited to be back on this Mafia Series and enjoyed this one. This is a story about arranged marriage, family power and found family. Troublesome pasts and new beginnings. Dante and Sophia’s story was a nice progression in this series and I am looking forward to getting my hands on the next instalment. Thanks to Missy Walker and the team for the opportunity to read this as an arc.
Fated Love is the fourth book in the Elite Mafia of New York series. Books 1-3 focus on Lucas and Emilia and now we finally have Dante and Sophia’s story.
In this enemies to lovers, arranged marriage story, Missy brings her usual mix of tension, drama and passion.
I just wish it was spread over another book so we could have more Dante!
This was a fantastic read, as always Missy's writing and storytelling has me captured from the first chapter to the last sentence. An amazing talented author.
Dante and Sophia story was incredible full of plot twists and spice. An arranged marriage to finding love with each other.
This story was worth the wait and definitely looking forward to the next book.
I was a bit lost on the story as it has some characters from a previous book that I hadn't read. It had a great story line and loved the steamy parts. I love how Missy includes characters from her other books. I will have to go back and read those and some of the parts in this book will make sense. Overall great book. I love Missy's books.
ARC 5⭐️ Missy Did it again! Not sure how but I have a new favorite couple. 2 rival families coming together via arranged marriage?! Yes please. Dante and Sophia finding out they really do love each other even if it took a kidnapping from a deranged ex to make them see it! I ate it up!!!
Mafia is far from my favourite genre, however I shouldn’t be surprised that Missy has won me over. I dutifully downloaded the prior 3 books to get some context before reading and thoroughly enjoyed this continuation of the Santoro’s sage. Now patiently waiting for the next instalment…
