Rate this book
Saddle up, Santa is wearing a Stetson this year, and he's got a big present for all you good girls!

Callie

I'm down on my luck this year, but it looks like things are finally turning around. I just got hired as the new baker at the Naughty List Ranch, and the job includes room and board.

As a single mom with a young son, it feels like a Christmas miracle. Until my car won't start. I send a panicked text message to my new boss who assures me help is on the way.

Then cowboy Santa shows up dressed in red flannel and whistling holiday tunes under his breath. Is it possible that good things do come to those who bake?

Nate

I'm a lonely cowboy working myself to the bone, and I'm not so sure there's any holiday magic left for me. But when my folks call and ask me to pick up a stranded single mom and her cute little elf, I can't say no.

I didn't count on how sweet the curvy baker would be or how much I'd want to claim her for my own. Now, I'm stealing kisses in the kitchen while she's baking spirits bright. I'm falling hard for my Christmas miracle, but she thinks this is just a fling. Can I convince her that Christmas wishes really do come true?

If you love cocoa, cookies, and cozy romance, it's time to meet Nate in Her Cowboy Santa. He's a jolly cowboy who is determined to claim the shy single mom in this steamy holiday romance novella. Set in Courage County and Havenstone, Montana, you're sure to fall for these charming small towns where big, bearded cowboys fall first and forever.

This is exactly the kind of cozy Christmas romance I needed! Mia Brody delivers a swoony grumpy/sunshine instalove that actually feels earned, and that's saying something.

Nate is a grumpy cowboy who's been avoiding Christmas and nursing a broken heart. Callie is a devoted single mom starting fresh with her baby boy Danny (who has complex needs) after leaving her toxic marriage. When their paths cross right when Callie needs help most, sparks fly—and so do the feels.

What I loved most was how well-matched these two are. Both are fiercely devoted to family, and that shared value system makes their instant connection feel real. Callie already proved she'd sacrifice everything for the people she loves, and Nate is starving for exactly that kind of fierce loyalty. The way he anticipates her needs, protects her heart, and just sees her? I was falling for him right alongside Callie. Those small moments of thoughtfulness and attentiveness are what make Mia Brody's romances my favorite type of comfort read.

The steam is plentiful and well-written (definitely explicit!), and I appreciated how tender and caring Nate was with Callie. No third-act breakup, plenty of Christmas sparkle, and a found family vibe that warmed my heart. Also, Rudy the chocolate lab is a scene-stealer, and his relationship with baby Danny was precious.

Can't wait for more stories from the Naughty List Ranch! Highly recommend for fans of instalove, protective cowboys, and holiday feels.

If you believe Christmas miracles sometimes wear flannel, drive pickup trucks, and have a soft spot for tiny babies and shy bakers—then Her Cowboy Santa is about to become your new holiday comfort read.

Mia Brody delivers a warm, cinnamon-scented, utterly swoon-worthy romance that wraps around you like a cozy quilt and doesn’t let go. This book is tender, spicy, a little bit magical, and full of the kind of heart-first moments that make you believe in second chances all over again.

🎁 A Single Mom, a Fresh Start, and One Very Handsome Santa

Callie isn’t expecting miracles—not after the year she’s had.
She’s a single mom doing everything she can to protect and provide for her baby boy, Danny, who has special needs and a heart big enough to charm anyone.

Landing a job as the baker at the Naughty List Ranch?
That’s miracle #1.

Room and board included?
Miracle #2.

Her car breaking down on the way to this fresh start?
Well… that part stinks.

But then cowboy Santa shows up—broad shoulders, red flannel, and a Stetson that should be illegal.

And that’s miracle #3.

Nate doesn’t just offer her a ride—he offers her the one thing she hasn’t had in a long, long time:

Somewhere she and her son belong.

❄️ Nate: The Cowboy With a Past He Can’t Outrun

Nate is the kind of hero you fall for instantly:

big, quiet, gentle

loyal to the bone

secretly soft

unexpectedly lonely

He hasn’t celebrated Christmas properly since a humiliating childhood event left scars deeper than he admits. He lives quiet, works hard, avoids anything sentimental.

Until Callie and Danny climb into his truck.

Because suddenly, Christmas looks different.

Brighter.
Sweeter.
Like something worth believing in again.

And Callie?
She’s not just warming his kitchen with baked goods—she’s warming the parts of his heart he thought were frozen for good.

🍪 Kitchen Kisses & Instant Chemistry

Callie thinks this is just a convenient fling.
Nate knows it’s everything.

Their chemistry is instant, warm, addictive—and Mia Brody does an incredible job balancing soft, tender moments with delicious heat.

Some highlights:

✔ kisses stolen over cookie dough
✔ Nate learning exactly how to support a single mom
✔ Rudy, the loyal dog, adopting Callie and Danny on sight
✔ small-town Christmas coziness that feels like a hug

This story feels like curling up with cocoa and watching snow fall outside your window.

❤️ A Christmas Romance About Family, Healing, and Choosing Hope

One of the most emotionally moving parts of this book is how Nate and Callie see each other:

Callie recognizes Nate’s hidden tenderness beneath the grumpy exterior.

Nate understands Callie’s fears, her independence, her exhaustion, and her fierce love for her son.

Danny becomes the heart of the story—bringing them together with tiny smiles, soft moments, and absolute innocence.

This isn’t just romance.
It’s found family.
It’s healing.
It’s a love that feels earned, gentle, and meant to be.

⭐ Why You’ll Love This Book

If you enjoy:

✔ Cowboys with soft hearts
✔ Single mom + protective hero
✔ Instant attraction
✔ Found family
✔ Cozy Christmas vibes
✔ Sweet-but-steamy romance
✔ Small towns full of warmth
✔ Heroes who fall first and forever

…then Nate and Callie’s story will be your next holiday favorite.

Her Cowboy Santa is a cinnamon-sweet, heart-squeezing Christmas novella filled with warmth, kindness, and a hero who will make you believe in miracles again.

It’s the perfect blend of cozy and steamy, with emotional depth that pulls you in and characters who linger long after the last page.

Callie finds safety.
Nate finds home.
And Danny finds someone who loves him exactly as he is.

This book is Christmas magic, cowboy style—and it’s impossible not to fall in love.

I really wanted to like this book more, but I couldn't connect with it. The insta-love between Nate and Callie felt out of place for me. Too forced, maybe. 2 people meet and within a few hours, meant to be, the L word makes itself known thought wise. Howw? Not saying it couldn't happen, but considering Nate's past experience as well as Callie's, I thought there would have been a building up of flirting, getting to know each other, hesitation to get close. Can I trust this? Can I trust you? I get this was a shorter read, time is of the essence, and I've read that trope before, but here, I'm sorry this was OTT rushed and lackluster. I didn't believe it.

I don't know any man who will get a flight for himself and his precious dog, to pick up a random single woman and her little baby from her car that gave up the ghost while she was set to drive to a job in Montana in December. A stranger. Yes, it's Mary Maas from the Naughty List Ranch, foster Mom to Nate when he was a teen who asked him, but... really.🤷🏼‍♀️ That's a stretch. Then he has to take Callie and Danny, himself and his puppy Rudy, on another flight to Montana to her new job. Callie was hired as a baker, but Mary never once tried her baked goods. And Callie only baked cookies once in the story. I don't know. The story read inconsistently.

There's the weirdness of Mary and Christopher not keeping their hands off each other.😬 Callie wanted Nate, she wonders over his stamina, but then acts like she didn't want him with unattached remarks. How would Mary feel if she hooked up with Nate? Huh. Callie was starved for affection with her awful ex-husband, not once did she think that maybe this could be that too? Nate wanted a wife and kids so badly, that it seems he could latch onto any woman so he wouldn't feel lonely anymore. These were implications shared but nothing became of them.

I know it's a book, but more connection was needed I think. Bonding. Show me, don't tell me. There was spice, dirty talk, but it was kind of awkward. I'm sure everyone in that house heard them.😂😛😂 Hea? Yes. I'm giving it 3 stars b/c Nate defended that little baby against a man/dad who didn't want him b/c Danny was a special needs child. And also, for little Danny, sweet kid, and of course Rudy. Shout out to Rudy boy!🐶 Others may enjoy it and I hope they do. I was expecting something else. Happy reading.*•>§<•*💚💚💚

Callie has never once regretted choosing her baby, despite the bleak prognosis, or walking away from her narcissistic ex-husband, who couldn’t even be bothered to meet his child. But loving your child and staying afloat are two very different things, and raising a special-needs baby on her own has stretched Callie to the breaking point. Then, just when life feels heaviest, a glimmer of hope appears with a job at the Naughty List Ranch, complete with room and board. It’s the exact kind of Christmas miracle she’s been praying for. Even when her car refuses to start, her new boss, Mary Maas, tells her not to panic and promises her help is on the way. But Callie is not prepared for the cowboy Santa who comes to her rescue. Nate owes Mary and Christopher Maas everything; they saved him as a teenager, so when Mary calls, he doesn’t hesitate to drop everything. But the moment he lays eyes on Callie and her sweet little elf, Danny, he finds himself just as breathless as she is. One of my favorite parts of this story is how quickly Callie and Danny are enveloped in a whirlwind of warmth, acceptance, and genuine family. For a single mom who’s long learned to rely on no one but herself, it’s overwhelming in the best possible way. And what truly touched my heart is how no one treats Danny as if he’s anything less than perfect—they embrace him wholeheartedly. Nate sees Callie’s fierce devotion to her son, and watching his family accept them without hesitation only deepens the soft spot he instantly has for both of them. Nate becomes their protector, not in an overbearing way, but with the gentlest, most thoughtful gestures. He buys a car seat and a baby carrier without being asked, simply because he wants Danny safe and close. The story is full of tender moments, from stolen kisses to Nate sending Callie’s toxic ex packing. And I’m sure Callie certainly appreciated that Nate’s sweetness also came with a spicy side. I’ve seen some comments complaining about how quickly Callie and Nate fall in love, but honestly, isn’t that the whole point of instalove romance? And in this case, I found myself wishing life would imitate art more often.

A cowboy with a quiet heart. A mother with everything to lose. This Christmas, they’re each other’s miracle.

Nate doesn’t expect to find forever on a cold December morning. He’s just doing a favor, picking up a stranded single mom and her baby. But the moment he sees Callie, something shifts. She’s soft-spoken but strong, with survival in her eyes. He isn’t looking for love, but he can’t ignore what pulls him in.

Callie’s out of options and barely holding on. When her car breaks down on the way to a new job, she thinks it’s over. Then Nate shows up, steady and kind, treating her like she matters. For the first time in a long time, she feels safe.

At the Naughty List Ranch, sparks start to glow. It’s in the kitchen, the quiet moments, the way Nate always shows up. As feelings grow and Callie lets her guard down, the past threatens to crash in. But Nate’s not here for the season. He’s all in.

With snow falling and Christmas near, they’ll have to choose what kind of life they want. One shaped by fear, or one rooted in trust, love, and a future they never dared imagine.

Nate and Callie don’t just fall in love. They grow into it. He starts off closed off and quiet. She’s focused on survival. Together, they learn to trust, opening up in ways that make their bond unshakable.

A steamy, instalove, single mom, cowboy, curvy girl, protective hero, small town, Christmas romance with forced proximity, grumpy sunshine tension, and a baby on board, exploring second chances, found family, emotional healing, single parenthood, protective love, and holiday connection. It’s about healing after heartbreak, finding safety in love, and building a new kind of family with someone who sees you fully.

The Elevator Pitch: A stranded single mom and a quiet cowboy collide in a snowy small town where second chances and found family take center stage. With a baby in tow, emotional walls start to fall as love builds in the warmth of a shared kitchen and the glow of Christmas lights. Steamy, heartfelt, and protective at its core, their holiday romance delivers tenderness, healing, and the promise of forever.

Nate lives in Courage County, North Carolina. He is one third of a set of triplets. He grew up at the Naughty List Ranch in Montana. Mary and Christopher Maas took him in as a foster son and basically saved him from bad choices. Mary discovered that his other two biological brothers lived with a foster family in Courage County. Nate visited there to meet his brothers and never left. Three years ago, at Christmas, Nate had his heart broken. He has not been in the mood to celebrate Christmas since. Nate used to go back to the Naughty List Ranch every other year for the Christmas Eve bonfire to see Mary, Christopher and his foster brothers. However, he has not been back in three years. Mary called him to invite him again this year.

One of the ranch hands puts a red Stetson hat with fur on Nate and calls him the Cowboy Santa. It does not improve his mood at all, and they call him grumpy. Nate finds his brother, Hunter, sitting on his couch eating his homemade jam and crackers. Nate used to make jam with Mary and has spent the last couple of years perfecting it. Hunter is impressed and tells Nate that he should be selling the jam. Nate wants to find a baker to team up with since the jam would be great with homemade pastries.

Callie lived in Asheville and was married to Corey whose parents are wealthy and bail out Corey when his gambling addiction is out of control. While pregnant, they found out that the baby would be born with Down’s Syndrome. Corey wanted nothing to do with a baby with issues, so they divorced. Callie had Danny eight months ago on her own. Mary Maas just hired Callie to be the baker at the Naughty List Ranch. Callie is looking forward to a fresh start. Her car breaks down and Mary calls Nate to help out. He needs to bring Callie and Danny to the ranch for the holiday rush.

I knew these two would have quite the adventure getting to the ranch and spending the holidays there. Another cute story.

Her Cowboy Santa by Mia Brody is a warm little Christmas novella that delivers exactly the cozy, swoony holiday comfort one hopes for — wrapped up in cowboy boots, a Stetson, and maybe an elf or two.

Callie, a single mom with a special-needs baby, is finally turning a corner in her life: new job, fresh start — only for her car to break down days before Christmas. Enter Nate: a rugged, grumpy cowboy in Wranglers and a Santa hat, sent to rescue her. He’s been avoiding Christmas ever since a painful childhood memory, but helping Callie and her son Danny cracks his frostier edges. What follows is an insta-love whirlwind of stolen kisses in the kitchen, protective moments, and a found-family vibe that just melts your heart.

What I loved most: the emotional stakes feel real even though the connection is instant. Callie’s fierce devotion to her little boy Danny, and Nate’s gentle strength — especially in how he sees and cares for them — give the story a sweetness beyond the typical holiday fluff. Rudy, Nate’s loyal dog, steals scenes and makes the story feel even more like home. Also, Mia Brody doesn't shy away from passion — yes, there’s explicit steam, but it’s balanced by tender, caring gestures.

On the downside — if you’re not into insta-love or very short novellas, this might feel a little too fast or lightweight. But for me, that was part of the charm.

Brody’s writing is cozy and heartfelt. Her dialogue sparkles, the setting (Courage County, Montana) feels lived-in, and her characters are flawed but utterly loveable. She writes gruff cowboys with hidden soft cores so well.

Overall verdict: Her Cowboy Santa is a five-star slice of Christmas magic. It’s perfect for curling up by the tree or snuggling with a mug of cocoa — sweet, steamy, and full of heart. Highly recommended for fans of holiday romance, cowboy heroes, and stories about building a family from the ground up.

Nate is working on a friend's tractor in North Carolina when he gets a call from Mary at Naughty List Ranch in Montana where he had lived in his teens straightening out his life and learning that he is one of triplets separated as babies. Now he lives close to his brothers. She needs a favor to have him help a new baker to get to Montana. Mary had hired Callie, single mom with a baby to work for her; but the mom is stuck near Nate's in NC. Nate agrees to help so he loads his dog,Rudy, and heads to pick them to fly them to Montana. Callie and her 8-month son,Danny are stranded after her car quit. Callie is divorced from Corey, her ex and Danny's father, when he wouldn't accept that he had a Down syndrome son even before the baby was born. Nate starts to feel that he wants to be her protector even though he lives in NC not Montana. He does everything to get her and Danny ready to travel by plane with him and Rudy. She is amazed by the ways he helps with Danny. What does he do when they get issues with other airplane travelers when they don't like a fussy baby on the flight? Her Cowboy Santa is pure holiday comfort—a cinnamon-sweet, small-town romance with just the right amount of festive charm and feel-good emotion. Mia Brody delivers another heartwarming novella packed with everything I love: a gentle, loyal cowboy, a hardworking single mom, and a romance that wraps around you like a warm blanket.

Callie is instantly lovable—determined, caring, and doing her best to give her son a brighter season. The baking angle adds a delicious touch (you can practically smell the cookies), and the sense of hope woven through her story is perfect for a holiday read. Nate, on the other hand, is the kind of hero who softens the moment he meets someone worth protecting. His blend of quiet strength, kindness, and “falls first” energy makes him impossible not to root for.

Their connection sparks quickly but feels heartfelt, shaped by small-town warmth, shared moments in the kitchen, and the kind of tender gestures that make this novella so satisfying. The setting—Naughty List Ranch and the surrounding Montana towns—adds a cozy backdrop full of lights, snow, and community spirit.

This story is short, sweet, and wonderfully romantic, with a guaranteed HEA that leaves you smiling. If you enjoy holiday insta-love, cinnamon-spice chemistry, supportive cowboys, and stories where families get a second chance at magic, this is a perfect treat for your winter TBR.

She needed a miracle. He showed up wearing Wranglers and a Santa hat.

A heartwarming insta-love holiday romance with just the right sprinkle of Christmas magic and second chances.

Nate hasn’t returned to his foster parents’ ranch for Christmas since an embarrassing event years ago. He plans to spend the holiday quietly with his loyal dog Rudy—until a call from his foster mom changes everything. When she needs help, Nate drops everything and heads home, unknowingly driving straight into his own Christmas miracle.

Callie, a single mother to a sweet special-needs baby, has been trying to start fresh, but life keeps throwing her snowdrifts of setbacks. Stranded with a broken-down car just days before Christmas, she’s rescued by a rugged cowboy in a Santa hat—Nate, her new boss’s foster son. Sparks fly faster than twinkle lights as Nate helps her settle into her new job and home. But Callie’s past fears and protective walls might melt more slowly than the snow.

Mia Brody once again delivers a short, tender, feel-good story where kindness, family, and holiday hope shine through. Her Cowboy Santa is a perfect fireside read for anyone who believes in love wrapped in warmth, redemption, and just a hint of mistletoe magic.

**Swoony-Worthy!**

*Her Cowboy Santa* by Mia Brody is the third book in the **Naughty List Ranch** multi-author series. The sweet, swoon-worthy short story about Nate and Callie is an ideal Christmas love story. They are a perfect match for each other in every way possible. Nate has dreamed of having a family of his own for so long, but after an embarrassing Christmas a few years ago, he feels unworthy of that dream until he meets Callie.

Callie is a single mom with a sweet baby boy, Danny, who has Down Syndrome. After both of them were rejected by Danny's father, all Callie wants is what’s best for her son. She hopes to start over with a new job in a new place, but getting stranded on the side of the road was not part of the plan. Fortunately, she is rescued by Nate, who looks at Callie and Danny as if they are his whole world. This moment is like the icing on the Christmas cookies.

Their story is easy to read in one sitting, filled with found family support that adds extra heartfelt moments with familiar characters. Each book in this beautifully crafted world can stand alone, but they are all interconnected. Nate and Callie's story is a must-read for this holiday season, with plenty of spice to keep things interesting!

The sweet and sexy novella is a truly delightful treat to read. Nate is everything one could ask for in a book boyfriend. He is a handsome cowboy who owns his own ranch and goes out of his way to help anyone in need, neighbours, friends or strangers alike. He is fiercely loyal, hardworking and super protective too as Callie and her baby son, Danny soon discover. The moment he hears about them, stranded and in need of assistance, Nate’s protective instincts are in high gear. When he sets eyes on them, though, his possessive side is activated. The sparks between Nate and Callie show that they have chemistry on their side, and the easy way Callie and little Danny accept Nate and feel safe with him bodes well too.

I loved how resilient and strong Callie is in the face of losing her parents and then raising her special needs son on her own after her self-involved ex walked away. Nate’s easy acceptance and instant love for little Danny melted my heart and makes him rather swoon-worthy in my eyes. Even as independent as she is, Callie appreciates Nate’s dominant and dirty-talking side too. He makes her feel safe, seen and heard, something her ex never did. Fate and perhaps some expert matchmaking brought these two together and love claimed them quickly.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sweet, Steamy, and Full of Holiday Magic!

Her Cowboy Santa is everything I want in a cozy Christmas romance—heart-melting sweetness, small-town charm, and a cowboy Santa who delivers far more than holiday cheer! Mia Brody does such a beautiful job blending tender emotion with swoon-worthy heat, making this novella impossible to put down.

Callie is instantly lovable—a hardworking single mom trying to catch a break—and watching her finally step into a place where she’s valued feels like a true Christmas miracle. Nate is the perfect holiday hero: gruff on the outside, soft and fiercely loyal on the inside, and completely smitten the moment he meets Callie and her adorable son. Their chemistry is delicious, from stolen kitchen kisses to those slow-burn moments of growing trust and comfort.

The small-town holiday setting is magical, the baking scenes made me crave cookies, and Nate’s protective, “fall first and forever” energy gave me all the warm, fuzzy feelings. This novella is the perfect mix of wholesome holiday heart and steamy cowboy heat.

If you love single-mom romances, cinnamon-sweet vibes, and cowboys who go all in, Her Cowboy Santa is the perfect festive escape. A total delight from start to finish! 🎄🤠❤️.

This is part of the Naughty List Ranch multi author series; a place in the wilds of Montana where four troubled teen boys were taken in and guided to adulthood by Mary and Christopher Maas. Now, as grown men, the bonds of brotherhood and family they built as teens are still there and though Nate is reluctant to return for Christmas, when Mary needs his help, he’s only too willing to be there for her as she was for him. (Just an FYI, for fans of her Courage County cowboys, this book ties in perfectly with those.)

I’ve read two books in the Naughty List Ranch series so far and they’re both amazing! Neither one used the term ‘lost boys’ but that’s kinda the thought that came to mind, as I read, to describe them. The MMCs seemed to feel like, because of their pasts, they were destined to be alone and when they finally found The One that set their hearts on fire, they were almost desperate to claim them and I absolutely loved that. The second (third and fourth) most important thing is that there was no drama, no angst and my favorite of all, no third act breakup. Just a sweet, HOT, heart meltingly good romance that’s going on my brand new, established-just-for-these, annual Christmas reread list. You need to read this book and check out the others in this series! 5 stars.

Is had already been looking forward to this book because Mia does cozy books so well. Now she is doing a Christmas one again and I don't know how happy and cozy one can stand-I loved it! And there's a dog! Sigh. This was another fantastic story by Mia. I love her writing. So warm as are her characters and the world she writes is so lovely. These two are wonderful together and I needed this right about now.

Stranded, she reaches out to her new employer to let her know she's on her way. One of her many sons is sent out to her and they all change her and her son's lives.

First off,so cozy. Such a special world, but at Christmas, all the more so. And these characters. Such good, homey people. If only. I would love to surround myself with the goodness in this read. It's s beautiful. Now, this baby's bio bad? How can someone not want their own baby? They are blessings and they are the ones missing out. This couple was fantastic. A beautiful connection between them and the little one. This was such a beautiful story and I cannot tell you how much I appreciate Mia's stories. They pack a lot of heart and are full of love!

Nothing better than a man wanting to take care of a woman and her child. Nate does it in spades in this book. He stole my heart from the moment he treated Danny as if he was his own. My heart broke wide open and made me wish for a man like Nate in my life: protective, loving, caring, think of everything kind of man that will protect and be there for you no matter what. Loved the small town setting and the author made you feel as if you were right there at both the ranches and in the small towns. Loved Christopher and Mary as they opened their home up for young men and the unending love they had for each other. Callie is a protective mother of her son and would do anything for them. She takes a job at the Naughty List ranch as a baker with Mary and Christopher. She gets stranded when her car brakes down and Mary sends Nate to the rescue. As they spend time together at the ranch, Callie and Nate realize they are the ones for each other. Nate will protect Callie and Danny with his life especially when Callie’s ex shows up at the ranch. Loved this heartwarming story with some heat and love!.

Nate is helping the Kringles out with their tractor, so that they can still have their Christmas train tour for the kids. The Kringles go all out for Christmas on their Christmas Tree Ranch in Courage County, NC. Nate grew up as one of the foster kids of Mary & Christopher Maas. I love that his dog’s name is Rudolph, a chocolate Labrador Retriver, who is so much fun, and funny too. Mary, of course, calls to remind Nate to come back to the Naughty List Ranch for Christmas. One of his hands teases him that he is “Cowboy Santa.” Nate learned from Mary how to make and can jams. He needs a baker to help pair them with. Then Mary calls back and says that she hired a baker from Asheville, which is near him, but her car broke down. She is to work at the Naughty List Ranch as a baker. So that is how Nate meets Callie and her baby son, Danny. Danny has Down syndrome. I love how the author explains that it just makes Danny’s milestones slower. There is so much stigma with these types of syndromes. Finding out about Danny’s father made me livid. Danny is sweet and adorable and I found myself wanting to just make him stuff to play with. lol. Nate saves Callie and Danny and brings them up to the Naughty List Ranch and he just hits it off with them. He insta-falls for them both. As does his dog. That’s when I fell for Nate. He is amazing. So are all the men that I’ve read so far from the Naughty List Ranch. Mary & Christopher did a good job with them. Learning about dog treats like puppaccinos was amazing. Makes me wish I still had a puppy to play with, but we can’t afford that right now. How Nate deals with his brothers and all the razzing between them is hilarious and I love it.

When Danny’s Biodad shows up, I wanted to hurt him. Then finding out the reason he showed up, made me want to hurt him more. I love how Nate handled him. He is lucky Rudy (Rudolph) didn’t get to him first. I think this may be my new fave book by this author. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

One of the first books I started reading this year was one of Mia’s and after that I have been searching for more and even ordered a few on Amazon. I loved this one so much, I loved how much Callie clearly loved Danny. As a mother I always put my boys first, when they need new clothes they get it, I always feed them first, they come first I will live being cold, hungry, wearing clothes with holes I don’t care as long as they’re taken care of. Callie is that kind of Mom and I loved every moment of her story. My boys are special in their own way, but they don’t have Danny’s health issues, and as grateful as I am for that, I can still admire Callie because raising a child like Danny isn’t easy, but even by herself she kept her held high and pushed through and never treated him like he was a hindrance or an inconvenience. Even better was how Nate immediately accepted Danny as his own and refused to let Callie go even before they were even officially together. I’ll be on the lookout for more of Mia’s books again 😀.

There are always blessings to count

Her Cowboy Santa by Mia Brody is part of the multi-author Naughty List Ranch series. This is a sweet, romantic, insta-love/lust, age-gap, single mother, Santa Cowboy and more romance all swirled together love, family and finding home. Callie is a single mother to a sweet baby boy named Danny. He is eight months old and has health and learning challenges. The father, her now ex-husband, exited the picture once they learned the baby would be born with trisomy 21 he quickly fled, leaving Callie to go through pregnancy, birth and now motherhood on her own. She needs to start over and finds a job as a baker at the Naughty List Ranch in Silver Bell Hollow, Montana. She runs into car trouble a few hours after leaving Asheville, North Carolina. Luckily for her Nate is called in to pick her up and get to the Montana. One look and Nate is head over heels with a lightening strike. He is determined to make Callie and also Danny his, no matter what it takes or where he has to live. It is going to take some work on Nate's side as Callie was thinking an affair but had sworn off men and relationships.

I'm not sure Nate could have been any more perfect! I loved how he didn't push Callie away or deny his feelings for her or her son Danny. He made Callie feel loved and cherished, as well as accepting Danny and claiming him as his own. When Nate stood up to the old people on the plane because Danny was crying, it was priceless. Also, when Nate defended Callie and put her ex in his place and letting him know he didn't deserve to be called Danny's dad was everything. I really couldn't get enough of Nate (and his dirty talk). Callie's character was fine enough, I am happy she didn't push Nate away either. One thing I was not happy with was how far away Nate's home and the Naughty List Ranch was. Callie found friendships with a few girls who happened to be paired up with Nate's foster brothers. It seemed like he had more of a connection with them than his biological brothers. So I was kind of bummed when they moved back to Nate's farm. Overall this was a 5 star read!.

Her Cowboy Santa by Mia Brody was an okay read for me—cute and cozy, but not one I completely fell in love with.
I liked the premise: single mom, grumpy cowboy, Christmas ranch setting… all things I usually adore. Callie’s a sweet heroine and I really appreciated the inclusion of her son, who has Down syndrome—that added some warmth and heart. Nate has that protective, soft-on-the-inside energy that I enjoy in a hero.
Where it didn’t quite work for me was the pacing and the insta-love. Everything happened very fast, and I found myself wishing for a bit more depth and build-up between them—more time to really feel the emotional connection instead of just being told it’s there. The story is steamy and festive, but for my taste, it felt a little too rushed to fully land.
Overall, it’s a quick, Christmassy escape that I liked, but it didn’t stick with me.
Enjoyable enough for a short holiday read, just not a new favourite.

This book is so entertaining and will truly touch your heart.

Callie is the new baker for the Naughty List Ranch, a single mom with a special needs boy who is down in her luck and sees this as a chance for them. But her car breaks down on the way. It is Nate (one of the original rescue boys from the ranch) who comes to pick her up, and as soon as he sees her and the baby, he knows that they are his destiny. Be prepare to swoon over his insta love and care for Callie and Rudy, OMG,, We all could dream of a man like that in our lives. He will do the impossible to show her that she will never be alone or need as long as he is around, even claiming the baby as his own. But when her ex -the father of the child- comes back, he will make sure the world knows that Callie and Rudy are his.

A great love story about care, love, hope, and total adoration. Sometimes real love takes time to show up, but it is worth the wait.

Her Cowboy Santa is such a sweet (with heat!) Christmas story! It makes you smile and leaves you feeling warm.
Callie’s divorced her husband after he left her because he didn’t want to take care of a child with a disability. Nate is hurt in the past, but as soon as he lays eyes on Callie and her son Danny, he falls in love with both of them. I loved Nate for this.

“I’ve kind of sworn off men.” A pleased expression crosses his face, and he leans in close. “Good. You don’t need a man. You need a cowboy with the stamina to ride all night long.” (Callie)

The author’s note at the back of the book says: “I love writing big, bearded guys that are gruff on the outside and oh-so gooey on the inside!” And that’s exactly what she did, and what I definitely love about a Mia Brody book.

I really enjoyed reading this short story, it is the perfect Christmas romance book. I have loved all of Mia's books and this was no exception. Single mum, lonely cowboy, damsel in distress, and christmas insta-love. Callie is a single mum to the adorable 8 month old Danny, after being abandoned by her husband due to Danny having down syndrome, she divorces him and gets a job in a new town. But, down on her luck, her car breaks down and she is stranded in a rest stop, miles away from her new job and new home. Nate is the sexy cowboy that comes to her rescue, a former foster son of her new boss Mary, maybe he is the christmas gift she has been waiting for. Brilliant story that was spicy, heart-warming, and the perfect holiday read.

This Christmas cowboy romance is genuinely lovely. The story follows a cowboy who steps in to help a single mom with her disabled child, and the way he cares for both of them is incredibly touching. He spoils her in just the right way, offering support without overshadowing her strength—a balance I really appreciated.

The disability representation isn’t perfect, but it’s handled with clear intention and genuine heart. You can feel that the author wants to portray the challenges thoughtfully and respectfully, and within the context of the story, it works well.

Overall, this is a warm, tender, feel-good Christmas read that left me smiling. A wonderful pick if you love gentle romance with true kindness at its core.

She was hired to be the new baker at the ranch, but has car trouble on the way leaving her and her infant son stranded. The owner sends her son to the rescue and he is just the cowboy they need. He thinks he is just doing a favor for his mom and rescuing her new baker but when he sees her and her baby he is ready to make them both his. He just has to convince her. This one is instalove at it's best. He falls first and hard and is ready to claim his family. There is something about a big old alpha falling for a baby that gives you butterflies. There is heat and spice, some humor and a man who will go to the mat for the girl he just met and claim her baby to boot. This is a holiday read you can wrap yourself up in for the afternoon.

There is nothing better than a cowboy that claims and protects what is his. Nate is just that man. Callie is moving to Montana to start a new job and a new life for her and her son Danny...if only her car didn't die on her. When Nate is tasked with rescuing Callie and Danny and bringing them back to the Naughty List Ranch he quickly realizes these two are what he's been looking for his whole life.

Nate was steady and patient and showed more love and compassion to Callie and Danny than she has every had before. I loved the bond between Danny and Nate's dog Rudy also. He was so sweet and immediately became a fierce protector of him. This story hit me right in my feels and is the perfect little holiday snack to read.
