Risk-averse and always in control, Maxwell Russo had always kept a tight lid on the feelings he has for his high school crush that he shared one, embarrassingly bad, kiss with. When time caused them to drift apart in the eighteen years that followed, he welcomed the distance, hoping that one day the love would fade to fondness. For the most part, it did, because Max was sure that Hannah didn’t share the same affinity for some of his more…domineering qualities.
Hannah Bowman, a divorcee ready to jump into dating again, knows exactly what she wants but not how or where to find someone to give it to her. Joining an anonymous online BDSM community, she hopes to find someone new but ends up stumbling across Max’s most carefully guarded secret. Shocked, intrigued, and seduced by some extensive online reconnaissance, Hannah is left Maybe, Max could teach me.
If he agrees, Max has only one non-negotiable No Kissing.
Because if they could avoid a redo of that one intimacy, maybe she’ll never know that he’s been in love all along.
This was so good I’m mad. It had no right to be this addictive and short. I fell in love with Max in Just Like That and I’m so happy he got his own story. Diving into this deep, broody man to see his playful, caring side made me wish I could have him introduce me to the BDSM world. Also how can you not love Hannah? This book about friends finally admitting their feelings makes me want to read more of this trope. Great book!
Title: Kiss and Fell Pages: 166 Steamy: 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Smut starts: 35% Would I read it again? Yes.
This was adorable. Longterm friends explore kink together. I appreciated that the protagonists are in their 30s, although it didn't make them any better at communicating their feelings. The smut is hot and they have great chemistry. It felt like maybe the author wanted this to be longer, but kept it short for some reason. We sort of started to get into the characters' backstories, but it never went very far. There are some spelling errors and confusing editing mistakes.
A very cute and spicy novella! I really love how bad they pined for one another. All in all an enjoyable quick read, good palate cleanser between bigger heavy books or to get your reading goal up 👏🏻
💙 Grumpy x sunshine 💙 Friends to lovers 💙 Dom/ Sub contract 💙 No kissing rule 💙 He’s secretly loved her for 18 years
Short & sweet, but not revolutionary in any way. It’s definitely possible to read this as a standalone, but I will say the other characters definitely got a little spotlight as well. That made it a bit confusing at the beginning, but nothing major. Or maybe I just haven’t read one of these books in a while (can you believe it? I can’t).
Well, well. Well. What a spicy little thing. 4,5 stars. Read it in one sitting. Could have been longer and a bit more built up in the between scenes. Also Hannah, for being claimed not to be a brat behaved quite bratty. What ruined it a bit for me was the Epilog because the tone was so different. Could have done without Sweetness, weddings and baby's.
Absolutely phenomenal. It was exactly what I was looking for: short and spicy with just enough plot to make it all move forward. I adored this and was so sad to finish it, I almost wish it was a little longer. I loved Max so much! I NEED more.
