Magic, mystery, and mythical creatures collide in a thrilling urban fantasy adventure!
Join Alicia Stormwell, a fearless witch and director of The Bestiary, a sanctuary for legendary creatures, as she navigates a world of supernatural crime and intrigue. From clearing the name of a wrongly accused werewolf to battling a sinister organization in a supernatural fight ring, Alicia's journey is packed with danger, humor, and unexpected romance.
Hidden Storm Book 1 Rescuing fantastic beasts is child’s play. Clearing the name of a ridiculously handsome werewolf? Hold my broomstick.
My name is Alicia Stormwell. By day, I run The Bestiary, a nonprofit that saves and rehabilitates legendary critters. By night, I don my witch’s hat and battle the dark underworld of supernatural animal traffickers.
When a witch is found dead and a wolf is accused of murder, a vampire detective from the NYPD’s Magical Crimes Division hires me as a consultant. I take in the suspected hound only to discover he’s not just any fabled creature, but a werewolf. And he’s been framed.
Now, with a murderer on the loose and a hunky shifter in my care, I’ve got to use every bit of my powers and questionable instincts to uncover the truth before the killer turns his sights on me, and I end up the next witch in a body bag.
Midnight Storm Book 2 When my hunky werewolf friend, Kyle Matthews, asks for my help in finding his missing sister, Sabrina, I’m all in. Our search leads us to the Velvet Claw, a shadowy organization running a supernatural fight ring where lives are currency and losing isn’t an option.
As the tournament reaches its sinister climax, I must race against time and use every ounce of my magical skill to rescue Sabrina before the Velvet Claw gets its claws deeper into her life, Kyle’s, and mine.
Island Storm Book 3 When the sanitation ward at The Bestiary breaks, I find myself buried in unicorn waste and facing financial disaster. That is, until sexy vampire Detective Reed offers a pretend to be his girlfriend at his sister’s wedding on Bloodthorne Island, and he’ll make a life-saving donation to The Bestiary.
But things go from awkward to terrifying when the castle’s housekeeper turns up dead, and now Reed and I are forced to team up to solve the murder before the killer comes for us.
Can we solve the case, or will our fake romance be our last?
Dragon Storm Book 4 When Detective Reed and Kyle are trapped in a magical dream coma by The Velvet Claw, it’s up to me to save them.
The catch?
I must master my dormant storm powers, and the only person who can train me is the infuriatingly sexy, borderline abusive Chinese dragon, Kai Tian Long.
Can I survive his brutal lessons and save my friends, or will the storm inside me, along with my handsome but fierce trainer, destroy everything?
Rising Storm Book 5 When The Velvet Claw kidnaps my Aunt Lydia, they force me into the clutches of Taranis, their god and leader. But guess what?
His kindness is disarming, but behind his charming facade lies a terrifying enslaving humanity and giving supernatural beings dominion over Earth.
Lovely.
Can I stop him from making this a real-life nightmare, or am I just another pawn in his game?

As I've already written book reviews for each book, individually, I won't go into details about them here - but, just to let you know, this was a great series, and I couldn't put each book down until the last page - I've not had much sleep these last few days! Lol
I absolutely loved this whole series and, frankly, was left wanting more, so I'm now hoping that Evangeline Hunter decides to write some more books for this series, especially after the hints of there being more 'family' out there for Alicia to discover!
I have another series by this Author, and will get around to reading it at another time but , once I finished this series, I wanted something just a little lighter, and my next choice, hopefully, will give me that.
So, my next read is the series: 'Magical Renaissance Faire Mysteries Books 1-9', written by Erin Johnson, and Nova Nelson, with Book 1: 'Much A Broom About Nothing', being my first read.
So, I'll go straight there to start reading, and I'll catch you on the flip side, to let you know what I think about it!
I was lucky enough to get an ARC of each of these books and liked them so much I pre-ordered the boxset as soon as it was available. I don’t often award 5 stars but each of these books deserves it. Having them in a boxset is even better. They each contain great characters, have interesting storylines, are entertaining and easy to read. The interaction between some of the characters is brilliant. They follow on perfectly from on another, getting slightly more series as the books progress, as all good series should. The only let down is there aren’t any more books yet. I can’t wait to see what this author does next.
A young witch with moderate powers had some expanding rooms placed into her New York City apartment. Each space has a different climate so mythic beasts can live comfortably. She goes around saving animals who are in danger of becoming either torn apart for spell components or sold to collectors for their private service. She is having trouble keeping solvent because she has a low paying job and the food for her menagerie isn't cheap. How will she keep saving animals if she looses her apartment? She needs help. Good Read.
